This is the second time I am using Safelite services in the course of couple of years and couldn't be happier. Both times I had repairs in my driveway, so it was very convenient. Today, Anthony followed through and repaired a couple of cracks on the passenger side and thoroughly explained the process. I am grateful that these types of repairs don't require driving to the shop. I highly recommend the Riverside location! Second time using Safelite Riverside, CA location with poor results. First time the technician got dirt all over my driver side A-pillar. Brand new car at the time. Failed to properly recalibrate my sensors correctly so my speedometer was off by 4mph. I didn't feel like going back so I just lived with it. Recently I gave them another chance (years later) and I had the same experience with the technician getting grease on now my passenger side A-pillar. Worst of all my head up display on my glass is now crooked (no adjustment for this on my car - only up, down, left, right). The technician said there was also a problem with the plastic piece that glass sits on saying it comes that way from the factory sometimes. Ironically I had him show me and he was able to fix it. Little did he know, they were the last people who installed my glass. Not very truthful with what he was telling me. He tried showing me how it doesn't snap on place correctly, once he moved it, it went in place just fine. Gave this place a second chance because the Rancho location has similar reviews, I'll be taking future business to another reputable company at this point. read more

0 stars! Consumer beware. I had a window regulator installed in my Chevrolet Cruze and 1 year later it failed. I contacted Safelite and the rep told me it was covered under warranty but the manager from this location called me back after I made an appointment to have them come out to my job and he said it wasn't covered. I took my car to another lock an shop and they told me bolts where missing which is why my regulator failed so quickly. After trying to get in contact with Safelite to let them know and to see if the issue would be rectified they refused to return my calls. I contacted the BBB and they weren't able to get a response from them either. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

I wish I had shopped around before choosing this company. When I googled, this is what popped up first so I immediately secured an appointment and made the payment in full (almost $160 for a small crack, maybe an inch in diameter). Pros: they are communicative, sent a text with an estimated time, the name and a picture of the tech (Khaleel) and he even called when he arrived at our address. The process literally took seconds, he told my husband that it's a structure repair to help the integrity of glass, but it wouldn't cosmetically fix the crack itself. So here I am staring at the same crack, like nothing was even done wondering if it'll even hold up once it gets hot. I'm hoping they adhere to their warranty because I don't have high hopes for this. read more

Had them come to the house to replace the windshield, after the job was done , everything seemed okay , next day had an appointment with the ford dealer , and the first thing they noticed was the wiper arms were put on wrong , went there with my other car to show them the paperwork, they wouldn't do anything about it , they wanted me to drive it down there so they can look at it ,showed them how much they charged me for the correction, they said they was not going to do anything about it, bewareeeeee , will not recommend them to any one , they did not do anything to correct the issue. read more

When I finally went to the dealership bc of the poor recalibration they do, the dealership tells me they don't have the proper tools to calibrate my sensors and have to bring it in wanting to charge me another $500!! Safelite could've easily done that right the first time instead of giving us the run around so many times. read more

By the way they installed my rear window and the glass was a poor quality you could see waves inside of the glass. it's a show lol They delivered the windshield to Murrieta, they called 10/11/25 at 8:31 am saying they were going to have to change my appt day to Monday or next Saturday. We understand mistakes happen so we said okay fine... got it scheduled for Monday 10/13. They call us to confirm and tell us our total that's due at the end of the appt... but we chose payment plans that we've already paid for .... They said it doesn't apply to this new work order so I told them to just cancel my appt bc I've already paid and it's not my fault THEY messed up. They are of no help and whoever runs the front desk is extremely rude. No compensation for their mess up, nothing. Instead, they're saying I have to redo my payment plan. read more

That was easy and free, with USAA insurance. Great app too. Long time ago I got a crack in my windshield. Like a dum dum head I didn't do anything about it and on a cold morning it went CRACK all the way. Stupid windshield. This time I called Safelite same day, and quick as you can say "Bob's your Uncle" a nice fellow came out and fixed the small chip that would have been CRACK had I repeated the dum dum thing. read more

Save your time and money. First off when I arrived to pick up my car after dropping it off my car was not only unlocked but the passengers door left was open in the parking lot!! That's not the worse though after waiting a couple days after the installation I decided to finally go in the carwash and I was shocked to find out that water came through the windshield! I called and I could bring it in a couple days later and the did but they replaced it with one that already had small cracks not only that but the put a cheap rear view mirror in instead of my original one!! read more

A rock hit my windshield on the 91 freeway, it needed to be replaced. I called my insurance carrier and they sent me to Safelite. I was given an appt, and told when I dropped off my car that it would be 2-2.5 hours. 4 hours later, I'm called and told my car is ready, please be here within 40 minutes to pick up. I pick up my vehicle and begin driving and it sounds like my windows are open. I check all windows, all closed. I go back to Safelite the next day and tell the technician at the counter what I've experienced. He says he needs to drive my car to confirm. He drives my car and comes back and tells me that there is an air leak in my windshield, it has not sealed properly. I'm then told this service needs to be redone, another 2-2.5 hours and I have to wait a week and come back in because of the glue that they use. I already had to take time off from work to do this in the first place. This is hugely inconvenient. How can you release a vehicle without checking for leaks?!?! Oh and I paid over $500 for this service which I expect to be refunded. I have reported this business and their subpar practices to my insurance carrier. read more

This is the second time I have had the misfortune of getting windshield replacement from Safelite through GEICO. Each time the outside molding has fallen off and we have to get it re-ordered. May 18th they came to my house replaced the windshield. May 26th it falls off. May 28 and may 29th we contact Safelite they finally answer and said they ordered the part from the dealer and it will take a few days. 4 weeks later here we are and still NO PART : NO COMMUNICATION: NO RESPONSE TO ANY OF MY TEXTS or PHONE CALLS. Contacted GEICO yesterday to assist me with the terrible service from safelite and found out Safelite somehow submitted 2 orders for my vehicle one out of Riverside and one out of Rancho Cucamonga and wound up canceling both! As of now 6-24-21 I still have not heard from them to repair the subpar service they did the first time. Insurance companies only recommend them because they can access their mutual clients records for glass service. I wish there was a major competitor available like Safelite. NEXT TIME I WILL USE ANOTHER AUTO GLASS PROVIDER OR THE DEALER AND PAY OUT OFF POCKET AND WAIT FOR REIMBURSEMENT. Never ever will use this company. They use an after market windshield for my jeep Cherokee 2016 limited. I called them and they said if I replace it again, it will be the same kind. Called my insurance since I didn't think it was the right installation, the rubber was not around the windshield. My insurance sent a different company and the guy showed us the end rubber was cut back and it exposed edge of window and he cut both ends so he thought wasn't going to be noticeable. The new company said only a windshield Mopar brand is the one to be installed. This young guys really need more hands on and experience before installing a windshield. read more

Buyer beware!!! First off the office for this place looks like the opening torture scene from the movie "SAW". Flashing fluorescent lights and very dirty. After a really long wait I'm able to finally schedule a chip repair for 3 days later... The tech shows up to appointment hours earlier than scheduled and tells me he can't fix the chip. He gives no real reason other than its side glass which is exactly what I told them when I made the appointment. The repair was on a classic truck so it really shouldn't have made any difference as all the glass was laminent and totally repairable. Go somewhere else! Boooooo!!!! read more

Safelite is a joke. Please don't use them. I rarely write reviews, but this is so bad I had to. I have a 2017 Sprinter 4x4 and needed the windshield replaced. 1) I entered al the vehicle information on their system and scheduled a home appt 2) The technician shows up and says he needs two guys for Sprinters, and I need to go to the Carlsbad location. I make an appt to take it in. 3) I got to Carlsbad, and they said they couldn't do it as their service bay is too small, and I needed to go to the 7880 Dunbrook location in San Diego. I make an appointment. 4) I drive the 40 minutes to get there and ask the front desk lady if they are sure they can do the Sprinter. She says yes. I asked her to check with the technician as I didn't want to have to come all the way back. She checks and says yes again. For the third time, I ask are you sure as I don't want to get a call in a couple of hours telling me they cant do it. 5) You guess it. As soon as I am home I get a call from the Asst Manager and I am hot. He's not sure what technician the front desk lady talked to but they can't do it and his manager asked him to call and tell me. Really, the front desk lady knew the history of this being the third time to try and replace the windshield and the manager was too busy to call? These guys are a JOKE! Not a greatest experience, reception works slow and technicians are not the best for sure. They broke my Tesla's self driving sensor and it's cover, they even broke my wipers. Scratches all over all parts that they were working on. And this was not the worst part. When I pointed that the windshield that they installed is defective they said that it's not a big deal and if I want to get a new one I will have to pay extra. I do not recommend this location. Ridiculous variation in quotes. The work done at this location was good, but the corporate model is a scam. I used the web site to obtain a quote and schedule a repair. Every time I used the web site to obtain a quote over several days I got a different estimate ranging from $139 to over $300, for the same repair! And the "first available" appointment was always one week out. Curious what the quote and schedule would have been if I had just driven to the location. I made the mistake of saving my information on the web site once and now I am spammed daily with offers of an additional $40 off if I complete the reservation. We called Safelite to repair a chip in our windshield that was smaller than a quarter. We had used them numerous times in the past and as recent as less than a year ago. Thier prices ioncreased 3 times the amout for previously done work, for the same kind of chip, almost the amount of a whole new windshield. They told us the lower prices are only for first timers. I found another company that repaired the windshieldshield and did as good a job or better (because of the price, and customer service.) I will never use Safelite again. read more

My car was broken into at Cabazon outlets and my friend who is originally from the east coast said Safelite is super good and comes to your house to fix the glass. So i went with Safelite, I called them to make an appointment for Monday morning and everything got scheduled. A few hours later I receive a call from their person who says corporate has made a mistake and could only get the replacement window by Tuesday morning. We agreed to Tuesday. Tuesday morning the technician comes and replaces the glass and it has a small piece of damage on the edge of the glass. I asked the technician for a discount because the glass has a defect and I needed my car back as soon as possible. He said no discounts are offered so I contacted their manager. She said the same thing that no discounts are offered. So i told her I need this fixed by today which was originally supposed to be on Monday in the first place. She says I can drive with my current defect window until they come on Saturday and replaced it with a new one. I asked for the appointment to be close to 8AM on Saturday. Saturday at 9:00 AM i receive a call and the technician asking me whats wrong with the window. I tell him it has a small piece out of it...he responds by saying "well, then it should shatter". It almost seemed like I was trying to lie to him or he just didn't want to spend his Saturday working. Then he tells me he is 60 minutes away...and pulls up 10 minutes later at 11:15ish. Then he tells me how surprised he is that the window didn't shatter. So I told him it seemed like you didn't believe me or didn't want to be here and he said people try to make up all kinds of reasons. I get it, however, giving me attitude prior to even knowing what had happened last time wasn't very professional. Technician one also had to clean out my car from the glass that had shattered. Did he clean it out putting in too much effort? No, he did not. He also left additional stain on my passenger seat. I appreciate him telling me that the glass has a chip missing, however, its the technicians job to make sure BEFORE going to the client that the glass he is going to use has NO DEFECTS. Second technician on Saturday did a super fast and clean job but the car was already cleaned out after the first technician. Furthermore, don't treat every customer thinking they are out there to cheat you, especially when you were the ones giving me a bad product in the first place. I will not be returning or recommending this place to my friends and family. read more

Easy to make appointment on line. From the front desk Brenda to the tech very sweet, & professional . Waiting room quiet, clean & good size of about 7 chairs and maybe 3-4 more out side for those prefers outdoors. The wait was supposed to be 2-3hrs long but I was able to be on my way at 1.5 hr in . Appreciate the tech pointed out new glass had a little streak/ scratch which I didn't even notice and offers warranty to replace or having new wipers. Paid almost $200 and they made the crack worse. The crack continued to crack across my entire windshield after only 2 weeks after the repair. I now need to replace entire windshield. I called the corporate office. The lady I spoke to said they would refund my money and it would take 5 business days to receive it. I never received it. When I went into a safelite office to talk to them about it, they said they don't refund. Corporate office contradicts what the safelite office stated. Never received my refund! What a pain this place is. I took my car in for a new windshield and calibration. After 3 calibration attempts I was told my windshield was overheating and they would have to try another day. I scheduled an appt for Monday morning at 9:30 and was told to give them 2 hours. After 3 hours I called and was told they tried 1 time and they need to try again. Since it was longer than I was told, I had to pick up the car since I needed to pickup my kid from school. I was told I need to come back a 3rd time. I told the girl at the front desk(who was sweet) that if I need to drive back a 3rd time I would appreciate some gas compensation because I don't live right around the corner. She told me she would message the manager and get back to me by end of day. 2 days pass, nothing. Meanwhile my front safety features aren't working. I call in this morning and talk to Cesar. The store manager. He tells me he won't compensate anything and that the only help he can do for me is schedule that 3rd appt. As I told him, i don't have a scheduling problem, I have a completion problem. So I'll be taking it straight to a dealer instead because clearly after this many attempts, they aren't capable of doing it. read more

This is going to be hard to write, but it must be shared, so people don't fall for the same mistake. I have Allstate Insurance, and when we got hit with a rock on the freeway, and it broke our glass, I was told by my insurance that "For optimal coverage and warranty, you should take it to Safelite, which is a vendor we use for all of our glass coverage." HUGE MISTAKE!! I have a 2022 Infiniti Q50. Damn car is a computer on wheels! But I love it, because it is safe, and helps protect me and my loved ones while we are driving. My appointment was at 2pm, I showed up at 1:45pm. Receptionist was nice, and told me they needed the vehicle for 3 hours. That as soon as the installation was complete, they would need to "recalibrate my camera system." Fast forward to 3 hours later, and I arrive to pick up my car. Turns out they aren't quite done with it, so we hang out in the parking lot. I watch them pull my car out of their bay, and park it directly in front of where my truck was parked, and walk inside. I walk over to the car and immediately notice a few things were not correct. #1. The rain sensor is supposed to be black, it did not, it looked crystallized. #2. The forward collision camera was off to the left about 3 inches...not dead center...That one drove me crazy. I walk into the lobby and told the receptionist that I would like to speak to the tech who had worked on my car, as I had noticed some discrepancies. The tech was sitting there at the desk, and walked out with me. First words out of his mouth were "Oh yeah, we wanted to let you know something didn't quite work out. We couldn't calibrate the car, because the camera isn't dead center, and its off the left about 2 inches. And because its an aftermarket glass we aren't able to calibrate it correctly. We can order the OEM glass and give you a call when its here, so we can replace it." Ok, cool. They made me sign a waiver, saying that I KNEW the calibration wasn't done and to "not trust" my vehicles computer system until calibration could be established. I'm not joking, when I say, as soon as I got to my car, all these crazy lights started coming on the dashboard. Lane assist was gone, forward collision was gone, blind spot monitoring was gone, rain sensor malfunction. I was like WTF? I started driving home, and the damn car would slam on the brakes for no reason!! I had to drive home taking surface streets, because I could not drive faster than 50 mph!! I was livid... I get to work the next day, and see in my inbox a special email stating, "My windshield was on "national back order and they weren't sure when one would be available" WHAT?! So I called my Infiniti dealer and THANK GOD, they had the windshield in stock, however, I get the dreaded phone call, 30 minutes later. "We regret to inform you, that safelite broke your rain sensor when they took it off, and we need to order a new one, its going to take 6-10 days to get it." DAMN IT! Now I've been stuck without my car for 6 days, all thanks to Safelite..... All in all this little escapade is going to cost me 1 day of work, and $2978.42. That I'm praying and hoping, my insurance will cover! Do better safelite, Do better....you lost a potential customer...who owns a business, and could have referred customers to you. read more

When my wife caught a rock with the windshield on our new Jeep she immediately worried that it wouldn't be a new car anymore, I have worked with the awesome folks at Safelite for many years while running car dealers in So Cal and had all the faith in them and knew it would be good as new in no time! Once I made the appointment I received a text right away with instructions for a 'no-contact' drop off. I arrived at their office and dropped my key in the drop box, texted them that it was there and went about my day. By 2:00, well before I expected it, I got a text and a call that it was ready for pick up! My wife was so excited to see the little jeep icon on the corner of the windshield and we are both thrilled with the awesome service! read more
