My windshield mirror has fallen off the windshield both times I have brought the car into this shop. The website tells you that you can only email for warranty appointments to get setup... One problem, its been weeks of no responses to 3 separate inquiries asking for support. You try and call, and they direct you to the website. The consumer experience is absolutely horrendous. read more

I had to do a windshield replacement. Wawanesa said that I have to use Safelite or else I had to come out of pocket to replace it and the windshield cost is $1400. I made an appointment a week and a half out to my nearest Safelite with any availability. After a nice two hour stroll here I arrived January 8. I explicitly specified that I wanted to wait and they said I should be out in a few hours since my appointment was at 8am. When I arrived, they said it was a drop off and that they should have it ready by 5pm. I asked why was there an insane delay and she said that they didn't even order it yet. I decided to have them reschedule me for the following week. I arrived on January 15th after an almost 2 hour drive here and I got the exact same response. The staff didn't seem to care and they told me again that they didn't even order my windshield. They told me that they would have it ready by 5pm. I was irate, canceled my appointment and called the 1-800 number for Safelite and they referred me to a local Auto Glass place called Auto Glass America. Bill was excellent and he cared about my journey and issues and he installed my windshield in less than 2 hours after I arrived. I would never ever even attempt to do business with safelite again. How do they still have contracts with reputable insurance companies? read more

This is my 2019 All Star Chevy Silverado. I had for less than 3 weeks the windshield was damaged by a UFO on the 91 freeway. Safelite did an awesome job can't even tell that the window was ever replaced. The repair shop is very nice, clean and organized. the waiting area has TV and free Wi-Fi & coffee..The guys that were working there were very nice and professional. thanks again, you guys did a great job. read more

I will admit that at first I was impressed with how quick they were able to schedule me and get everything set up. I had an appointment for the very next day to get my rear window replaced because it was smashed in. When the gentleman came I noticed a pretty good sized scratch in the glass and obviously rejected it and they said it was fine and that they would be back tomorrow, same time to fix it. The repair man guaranteed that the glass was in their warehouse and they'd be back today. Well today comes and I realize that I haven't had any confirmation about them coming today so I called to get more information. After safelite became informed themselves, they let me know that a man named "William" left a message saying it would take 1-2 for my glass to even come. ??????? I've received no calls, no voicemails, no emails, no texts. This was an obvious lie because they really had no idea what was going on so they just thought of something quick. I've missed out on hours of work and I've been borrowing a car that I no longer can use because this has taken way to long and has been more than inconvenient for me. I won't say that safelite is a completely terrible place because some people have had awesome experiences (mostly the reason why I chose this place in the first place) but just know that you could be the unlucky customer that gets screwed over in their unorganized place of work. read more

He came, reviewed my passenger window issue and diagnosed an electrical switch issue with the drivers side door. Not to mention s temperament window lock. I would give them 5 stars communications. 2 stars for value. They were $40 higher on the windshield cost but then wanted an additional $49.99 to dispose of the glass. I wanted to take my old windshield with me and save that fee. They won't let you do that. Feels like they treat that as a profit center for them. I declined and got it done same day for $40 less than their windshield only cost with tax included and no extra charge for the "recycling ". read more

About a month ago, I brought my wife's vehicle to the Palm Springs Safelite location with an appointment. I was told that they ordered the wrong windshield for her Jeep Grand Cherokee. They told me that they'd call me when the correct one came in. I just tried calling to speak with someone to follow up on this. After going through a very annoying phone tree, I was disconnected twice and never got to speak with anyone. I've done business at other locations with Safelite in the past. I'll never do business with them again however. read more

And I wish I was saying that with excitement....this post is more of a cautionary tale in that I've NEVER called a business regarding car repair or maintenance (whether for a. oil change, a car wash, tires, windshield replacement, etc.) and been FORCED to provide ALL of my personal information for the free quote I've said business about...I called today and had to call in twice just to be connected to a representative, and when I asked for a quote she as for basically my entire profile - I'm talking name, address, phone number, email, and even down to insurance information, claiming all of this had to be inputted before a quote could be generated. I was prepared for "year, make, model, special features, mileage" etc., to get a FREE QUOTE, not paying for it with my information in the hopes for a decent quote. So if you're someone who is protective of your personal information and respect the idea of an actual FREE QUOTE, I'd recommend calling elsewhere. read more

Don't waste your time. This company literally orders one piece of glass for your car after you make your appointment. So if anything happens to that piece of glass and you come to your appointment, they will not give you a discount or order another piece of glass until you make another appointment. Today we had an appointment for when they opened and when we got there the piece of glass that they ordered was scratched. They wouldn't give a discount or anything. They just said that's how it is and said we had to re-order and make another appointment. It's likely the same situation would happen again, so obviously we are not going to do the same thing again. Highly recommend this location! Was greeted by Donald when I first arrived and he was very friendly, the communication was excellent and he was happy to answer any questions I had. Before I knew it my car was ready (they are very efficient here) and was given detailed information on what the warranty covered and what do do next. I called and asked for the store manager Angel Chavez and the receptionist asked me why do I need to speak to him so I told her and then she goes oh yeah you do need to talk to him like wtf you need to be so nosy for if you can't help anyways Angel gets on the phone and starts telling me I have to pay for the damage and I need to call my insurance and that I need to pay for the damage on my truck even though safelight employee slipped and cracked my window and lied about it and on top of that he deleted my dash cam footage but my house cameras show him entering my truck after he stated to Angel that he never entered the truck yeah great job so I don't recommend them at all bunch of liars and crooks read more

Thank you for being open. I Took my Merz Benz for a windshield replacement. Great staff and great service. The wait time was about (2 1/2 hrs) with appointment. They were super busy. You must wear a mask while waiting. Left satisfied with the service but 3 days later I used the wipers; 1. they were installed wrong, 2. one was broken, it almost scratch the new windshield. I recommend to check the car wipers after installing a windshield, take your time to check. read more

I had a broken window on my car and I had another company do it for much cheaper, they removed all the broken glass, but didn't have the part so i had to spend an extra $150 to have this awful company do it. I told them another company removed the glass so do not charge me for the removal fee. I dropped my car off and they "found" a few grains of glass and charged me an extra $40. These people are liars and crooks and they do an awful job that is way overprice. NEVER EVER get your glass repaired here. A plastic bag covering the gaping hole in your car door is preferable to a repair at this place, trust me on this. read more

I came wary in the morning to get an awful crack in my wife's windshield fixed and originally the technician up front told me it wouldn't be ready until after 3PM, but after maybe about an hour my car was done and ready to go since amazingly all the people ahead of me didn't need the major fixes they thought they did! Got my windshield & wipers replaced. Had to come twice because their online system is a joke. Now 4 days later, raining and my windshield obviously doesn't have the water sensor & wiper blades are completely jacked up. Good luck trying to get ANYONE ANYWHERE on their phones, so now I have to go thru the same broken online system to get this fixed. I had a great experience here. Scheduling online was easy, and rescheduling an appointment online was likewise effortless. I paid online and opted to go to their site (as opposed to them coming to me) to save the extra $30 or so. I also waited in the waiting area while they replaced my windshield. They finished faster than they had predicted, and the waiting area was clean and coffee/tea/water was provided. I received great customer service from both the receptionist and the technicians. I had been concerned this would have been more of an ordeal as I've never gotten a windshield replaced and I also have a relatively obscure make/model of car.
