Had windshield replaced on 2011 Scion TC. Day after installation the rubber molding along top started to ripple. Looked like crap. Called Safelite back and made another appointment to come and fix the problem. Tech put more glue on molding and told me to let the car sit in the sun so the heat will flatten it out. I did. 2 weeks later still looks like crap, so I called and made third appointment thinking they would re-do the whole job. (As was told if I was not satisfied with the outcome). Tech did nothing to help just said the reason it looks like it does is because they used an aftermarket molding. Said if they did it over again it would still come out the same, with ripples. They told me that it was as good as they could get it. If I wanted it to look like it did before they replaced it I should get the OEM molding from the dealership. Everyone who has seen the work done on my car says it should not look like it does. Safelite got paid so now they are done with it. I have gone to social media and posted the photos of my windshield and have voiced my dis-satisfaction with the company. Huge disappointment and waste of my time!!! Broken rear passenger window on Tuesday ? No problem. We can fix on Saturday. Wow! Need rental car until Saturday! They call Friday at 4:30pm to CANCEL because they did not check their warehouse until the NOW, night before install, and will have to order it. Need rental car extended, scheduled me for Tuesday. Upon calling SafeLite for ETA TUESDAY, the glass has been ordered but not in. Oh and by the way, THEY NEVER CALLED ME TO CANCEL TUESDAY! !!!!! Extend rental, now over a week!!! These folks are an unbelievable joke!!! And when they tell you Ashley the manager will call you in 10 minutes, dont count on it. She didn't have time for customers on friday or today. No call back now over an hour! Truly unprofessional. Save yourself some time and aggrivation and go somewhere else! !!!! read more

This is the worst place we've ever dealt with, we went in to have a small chip repaired, granted, they did mention that a crack could happen, but never mentioned we would be responsible for paying for it, so they broke the whole windshield on our 2018 car, and then told us we would have to file a claim with our insurance to get it fixed! This is unbelievable business practices this place is providing! I do not recommend anyone go through them, they should not be fixing windshields they can't guarantee...we're now looking into another place to repair their mistake! I had a 1 p.m. appointment and I arrived 15 minutes early. They started working on my windshield replacement immediately. I was driving off 45 minutes later. I drive a 2019 VW and the glass was ordered days before my arrival so they were well prepared with a replacement from the dealer. The best part is they gave me a Veterans discount when I asked. Hopefully I never need to repair my windshield again but if I do I will be a return customer. I really appreciate the great service. read more

I had a guy come to my house. His name was Robert and he was on time and worked very fast. No more than 20 mins. In the time he was fixing my glass, he also cleaned all my windows and vacuumed the inside of the car. He was polite and explained the process he would be doing. Safelite technician "repaired" the crack from a rock on my windshield but within a couple days, the windshield had a bigger crack. I called satellite several times, no answer. I send and email no response yet. The technician should have informed me that he couldn't fix the crack, now I have to replace the windshield. read more

I went in last week to get my windshield fixed because I got a crack on it from A rock. Their place is clean and even have some keuring they Offer while you wait almost 2 hours to get it fixed. They did what appeared to be a good job, BUT my windshield wipers were broken in The process. Of course they didn't think to check after Installing the glass if they were working properly. One day later I was driving and needed to clean my windshield and noticed they we're basically installed back incorrectly. Thankfully I was not on the highway with rain when I needed the windshield wipers, otherwise I could have been killed. I was extremely angry about this, and someone dropped the ball. I Will Not be going back to them, even if they have free Coffee. read more

My car's windshield has a considerable crack to which I cant tell how it happened. I called the safelite call center and I was given and directed to the nearest safelite auto glass shop nearest my place. I sent my son to have it fixed and came home with a new windshield and a pair of wiper blades. The work is clean and flawless. Pretty happy with the work done. Very friendly, easy to talk to, and he answered all of my many many many many questions! He had great customer service. Absolutely excellent. Had to replace my cracked windshield and the service was fast, was done in about an hour. The price comes with a lifetime warranty on the windshield as long as i own the vehicle. Sounds like a good deal to me! the last place had no warranty on parts, just labor, and i paid just the same. about 2 mths later, that windshield was hit by many rocks and even leaked water inside my car while it was raining. I trust Safelite! as long as there's a warranty, you should be good. read more

Horrible service. Cheap glass. Manager Angle will not stand by his craftsmanship, quality, product, or warranty. I asked him to call his corporate leadership with me and come to a resolution and he refused. The manager would not take any any accountability or work with me to come to a reasonable resolution. I am not trying to get anything free or discounted. I just want them to stand up to their word. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Huge waste of my time, money, and energy. I had to get my rear vent glass fixed after having someone broke into my car. I was recommended by a friend to try them out as they have a mobile service and I thought could just have them come to my work in Riverside and get everything taken care of. I made an appointment for a weekday morning for them to come to my work. I went into a different Safelite shop near where I live and the guy helped me wrapped up the broken area for the time being. Appointment day came, the technician who came not only brought the wrong piece of glass (after I specifically told the person over the phone which side it is for), he even broke my door and lock in the process of trying to put everything back. (Why didn't he verify if the piece was correct before taking everything apart? I have no clue). This process took about 20min, nothing for fixed, he trashed that only piece of plastic wrap that was giving my car some degree of protection, didn't replace the vent glass, and broke the door handle and lock in the back. This is when more crappy customer service happened. My estimated appointment time was 60-90min. Seeing that after 20min, everything went downhill. I asked if he could at least bring back a piece of plastic wrap from the shop located In downtown and wrap that hole up, (it's the least he could do I thought). He told me no, he couldn't because there are other appointments he had to go to after. he made a phone call and told me he had talked to his boss and would come back again on another day with the right piece glass. I kept asking him about the broken door and lock situation, he made another call and told me it will take about 3-4weeks minimum for the part to come, and when that happens THEY WOULD CONTACT ME. I thought it was a joke, it's just a plastic door handle piece for a old Toyota, those are everywhere and I have been told by mechanics and other people that you can literally get those within 24hr at any distributors or dealership. Bottom line he couldn't get me an appointment for the door. I asked him again if he could just get something to wrap the hole back up, he directed me to just go into their shop in person because the shop is not located too far away from my office. I was aware of this, but I was busy with project deadlines and meetings and calls all week I couldn't even get a minute away from work, and that's why I paid for the mobile service. And if the shop was only minutes away, why couldn't he had gone back to grab it. Technically I was well within my 60-90 min appointment time. I gave up on that technician completely as it didn't even seem like he wants to be employed there. I called the manager later that afternoon to convey the situation again. I asked him to send someone out and just wrap that hole back, manager told me no basically as all the employees were out on appointments. He told me to just come in (also reminded me of HOW CLOSE their shop is located again). I told him fine I could come in but it would be after closing time as I was very busy w work. I literally had to BEG them to wait for like 30min after closing time. And this is only for a plastic wrap, not the real glass, not to get the door fixed. I was so caught up at work I knew I couldn't leave and I tried calling them to tell them before closing time that I couldn't make it, nobody picked up. I checked my voicemails later that night and only about 10 15 min after closing time they were already telling me if I was gona show and if not they had to leave. I ended up calling a different local repair guy and he got back to me immediately after business hours and he came to my work the very next day and replaced that glass in 15min and for half the price Safelite quoted me on. Safelite never got back to me on the broken door, I called the manager to follow up a few more times for the next few weeks, every time I would get a generic answer from him, "it takes time for the part to come, and WE WILL CONTACT YOU TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT". Never got any responses back after a month and a half later. Today, I ended up taking my car to a real mechanic to get the door fixed. Bottom line, not only Safelite did not complete the job in the first place, they broke my car even more, and tried to completely bail out of their responsibilities. The experience I got from their employees and management is an extremely lazy one, they refuse to own up to their responsibilities, and main goal is definitely not there to help any of their customers, but merely for profit. Go with smaller local shops next time instead of big name like Safelite. read more

2012 Nissan Frontier 4 door crew cab - While driving to work i had a rock hit my windshield, and by lunch the crack had grown over half of the windshield probably due to the drastic temp changes. I Scheduled an apt. on Safelite's website and it was very easy to schedule the apt. and windshield type for my vehicle. I didn't even know they had a "Mobile" service, so i selected that, (it was extra charge) but It allows them to come to your house to replace the windshield. The technician arrived within the time frame provided and was extremely professional. He finished within an hour and left my car looking great. I was very pleased with the windshield and installation. When i went to work the next day i didn't notice any smell or anything from the installation and was very pleased with the work done. I was a little afraid of not getting an OEM windshield but the replacement was very similar (had the black dots behind the rear view mirror). I also got the windshield that has a blue fade on the top and it's really great. The only difference between the safelite and oem is there is no black line that follows the rearview mirror wire, but that's not really a big deal to me. The glass look so clear and clean, i am very happy with the end results. The technician will also clean your windows and vacuum out the car also, very nice touch. read more

So actual replacement of the windshield is good quality service, I'm happy with the result. But service matters to me and I hate feeling like I'm being taken advantage of as a customer, especially as woman seeking some type of auto service. I very intentionally booked for a Mobile service technician to come out to me, since that's one of the main benefits of Safelite services. I booked on- line, it's pretty hard to make a mistake since you have to either click "come to me" or "I'll go to a shop location" AND I very clearly paid the service fee for them to come to me so I wouldn't have to be away from work. I get a call from a technician at 8:15 saying I was late for my 8am appointment (I booked Mobile service with service window of 8am-1pm). I explain that I booked Mobile service and I get a round about explanation that the system must have made an error since the address of the shop and my location had similar address info...i was suspicious but the tech said that he's not a Mobile technician but said if I went down now he could get me out in 30 mins. So considering I was actually less than 10mins away I agreed especially bc he said 30 mins and I would have the travel fee refunded. When I arrived the tech was processing my stuff by his phone which seemed odd since computers where there, that was my first indication that the "mix up" in the system was a lie. Then while I'm there he gives me an estimate of 45 min wait....I ended up waiting for an hour and 15 mins and he ended up completing my transaction via his phone and Mobile printer, which again only made me feel I had been lied to. Then later the same day I get a confirmation email for the service I scheduled from the tech who serviced me today, his title is a MOBILE technician, and the email shows the service was supposed to be handled at my location. While I understand the benefit was that I saved $30 dollars and the actual repair was great, I don't like how things were handled and that the wait time wasn't accurate, I stepped away from work and needed to get back. read more
