I made an appointment through my insurance at this location. When I went in for my appointment, there were two associates at the counter and both were on their phones. They didn't even look up. At one point, the woman looked up from her phone and stared at me...and then looked back down! I felt like I was interrupting their phone time. The man eventually asked "can I help you?" I told him I had an appointment and he said "okay...I'll meet you at your car". When he got out there, he just said, "no that's not repairable" before I could barely get my sentence out. As a former service tech for Rivian and Tesla, I can say with confidence that this place is ran by amateurs. 2 weekends in a row I was scheduled for drop off and pick up. Lorenzo, the service writer, is absolutely unprofessional when speaking to customers and would have been fired immediately at any reputable shop I've worked at. Additionally, the glass tech claims he found defects in the glass so was unable to replace the glass that day. Any well ran shop would inspect glass as they arrive before putting them into inventory. Against my better judgement, I rescheduled for the following week. Today I dropped off my car and it wasn't even touched. No communication. Phone calls go straight to AI. I picked up my car at closing and declined a reschedule. This location needs a serious restructure. read more

Was heading north on the 605 on a busy weekday morning near (not close by) a dump truck and I heard a big SMACK and saw a huge crack (no pun intended) appear on my windshield, ugh! I was heading out of town for the holiday weekend so I could not make the appointment immediately; however, once I got home I made it for the day after Labor Day online (with ease). Business hours online claim that they open at 8am (also listed on their door); however, they are indeed open at 7am and I was able to make the appointment online for that time as well. Everything from start to finish was super easy! The employee asked if I had scheduled an appointment and he took my key fob and a tech started working on my car soon after. As he indicated, the windshield replacement took 2 hours to repair but the time flew by and they also have a little desk area to charge your phone and/or work on your laptop, so I was entertained during that time. Once completed, the tech briefly went over the paperwork and the "do's and dont's" (essentially no car washing for 24 hours) and I was on my merry way! Yes, I will say that Safelite is expensive and probably could have found a cheaper shop; however, the quality of their work is superb (you get what you pay for). Not only that, but my credit card had a 10% cash back offer (42.00 cash back maximum) as well as my standard 1.5% cash back so that equated to a 55.00 total discount (on top of a 90.00 discount they had already given me). Lastly, their employees were very friendly, efficient, and courteous as well as the manager on duty (didn't get any names). I highly recommend this location (1st time to any Safelite). read more

Dealing with Safelite to get my late model Lincoln's glass replaced was a communications nightmare. When you call their 888 number, it says "A live agent will be with you," then after awhile it says you must go to their website, instead of just telling you that upfront. When you go to the website, you're pulled into a circular conversation with a chatbot. When I finally got a live agent, they put me on hold to call the Irvine shop, but couldn't get them on the phone. They said, "We'll have them call you by the end of the day." That was a week ago. Because my car is a late model, they were unable to get OEM glass right away but they said, "We'll call you and schedule install when we receive it. That took MONTHS, and then they said, "We have the glass, but they dropped it and broke it in the warehouse" so back into line I went and more months went by. I called them and they said, "Oh, yeah, we have it in stock," but I had to initiate action there even though it was an open order. So the day of the appointment comes, and nobody shows up in the four hour appointment window, so I try to contact Safelite to update, but now we're back to the chatbots, and they can't find the order. When a "live associate" via text does get online, they find it after some trouble. The tech then calls and says he's 3 hours late. OK, I understand they can't always be on time due to unforseen difficulties, but how about texting and letting the customer know? I took off work to wait here and now I'm stuck longer. Safelite- try using live humans more often, ditch your chatbots. read more

My front windshield developed a large crack, safelite inspected it and approved it as a warranty replacement. What should have been a simple warranty repair has turned into MONTHS of cancellations, inconsistent explanations, and wasted time. I was scheduled for appointments on May 18, May 23, May 29, June 12, June 19, June 27, and July 3. Every time I thought my windshield would finally be replaced, my appointment was cancelled by either Jesse, Rachel, or Lorenzo. For three consecutive cancellations, I was told the incoming replacement windshield had arrived damaged. On another day I was also told they didn't have one specific technician that was the sole person able to work on my car and given other bogus excuses. The July 3rd appointment at this location was the most frustrating.. I dropped my vehicle off expecting the repair to be completed because they actually took my vehicle and key and moved my car to their garage. Around 5:00 PM, Jesse, who is seemingly the branch manager, left me a voicemail saying they were unwilling to perform the repair because of missing/damaged hardware caused by the Fullerton location from a previous repair. Since it was Fourth of July weekend, I was told I couldn't get my car back until Monday, leaving me without my vehicle for three days. When I picked my car up, I asked Jesse who is seemingly the manager to explain exactly what prevented the repair and I requested an email of what exactly was damaged/missing. He agreed to email it to me. After waiting a week with no email, I had to call and follow up myself. Instead of sending the documentation he promised, he told me the issue was actually that the wrong adhesive had been used during the previous installation, while also assuring me it was "nothing serious." If it wasn't that serious then why wasn't the warranty replacement completed? I still have a cracked windshield despite Safelite approving the warranty replacement MONTHS ago.I have screenshots of every appointment reminder, multiple cancellation notices, and voicemails from Jesse, Rachel, and Lorenzo stating that my replacement windshield had arrived damaged. I'm happy to provide them if Safelite disputes any part of this review.This experience has been frustrating, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable for a safety related warranty repair. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. I do have screenshots of the voicemails and text messages of cancelled appointments and have reached out to corporate. If necessary I will fill out complaints with BBB and DCA. Unless it's an insurance claim or you're paying out of pocket your windshield might never be repaired here. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

After two weeks of scheduling issues I bring my car for a drop off at 8:30 am, receive a call at 4:30pm that my car could not be fixed for a reason the mechanic could not even tell me. Everybody is sorry at the main company phone center that I'm going through these troubles but they reassure me I have a lifetime guarantee. What I see is that it's going to take a lifetime for them to actually fix my windshield properly. When I call my insurance company they keep transferring me back to Safelite. No help there. Drove on the 22 freeway and got a rock that hit my front windshield and cracked it! Immediately called my insurance (Costco connect) and they offered FREE windshield repair. Did the appointment online with Safelite. They came to my house also!! Jose was the technician (works out of Westminster site). This guy is top notch. Appointment was 1pm-5pm next day but he arrived at 530pm due to being overbooked (he said he had 14 diff repairs to do in 1 day)! He explained to me everything. The scariest part was when he had to clean out the bullseye damage by using a metal stick to press into the glass. And then he used another black rod that punctured it more. That was SOOO scary because it would spread the crack a bit more. I saw more cracks from him doing it but he said that's exactly what he needed to see/hear. He explained that was normal because the vacuum needed to push the resin into the glass. RESULTS WERE FANTASTIC! Took 25-30 minutes. He even cleaned my front windshield for me after. KEEP IN MIND - DO NOT TRY TO DIY using Amazon or autozone products like permatex. Safelite uses way more legit machines. Professional machines that will give you way better results than DIY. He stated that he could NOT work on cars where people already tried to DIY because the resin already got into the crack so his machine wouldn't be able to vacuum and push resin into the repair. Anyway, super stoked with the results. I am so happy. One other thing - if the crack is within 1.5 inches of the edge, they will say it cannot be repaired so keep that in mind! read more

Very professional went over everything cleaned all the glass & I mean all the glass. We didn't wiper blades so he took that off our quote offered us a discount code showed that the window worked apologized for the inconvenience that the low life caused us. I dropped my Tesla off for a windshield replacement due to a crack. I got the call to pick up later that afternoon. Everything looked fine until I got home. Noticed both my sun visor clips had broken off. I called about the damage and was told to come back to the shop. They tell me there is no reason for ten to have even touched that area during the installation. A couple days later, I get Tesla service come out to fix the clips. Right away the technician says Safelite definitely broke the clips. Says removing that panel is essential for windshield replacement. He then does me how Safelite broke the clip by over screwing the screw with a power tool, literally creating new threads and breaking the part. The repair and replacement is not expensive. I'm very upset with the fact they hold the damage and the denial. read more

No call, no show. Job was scheduled via the website for Thurs 1-4 PM. I called at 430 to see where the driver was and they said they did not know. Driver called at 545 and said he was on the way. Said he got delayed but forgot to call. Rescheduled with the driver for Friday AM 7-8. Driver did not show up Friday and I called their office. They said that driver was off on Fridays and not sure what happened. Once again the job didn't get done and gave them another chance to reschedule on Monday. Driver just showed up and declined to do the job. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Now I have a broken and leaking windshield. Not only did this location replace the windshield on my Audi Q5 for 1/3 of the cost that the dealership quoted me, but when I had an issue with my rear view mirror several months later, the guys here were super cool and fixed with no charge or hassle. I just brought it in on a Saturday and they took the time to show me the strange nuances of the Audi mirror that causes it to pop loose if it's adjusted the wrong way. I was afraid they would not honor their work and make me deal in the hassle/fight of warranty, but I'm happy to say I was wrong about that. They stood behind their work and were very pleasant to deal with. Oh and they were playing football on in the lobby while I waiting and Andrew was super cool and kept me company while they cleaned things up. Get your windshield replaced or fixed somewhere else. I was quoted for my car's windshield replacement for $621 and I filled an insurance claim. They gave me that amount. I made an appointment and one day before my appointment I get a phone call from safelite auto glass and they tell me the shop miss quoted me and the price to fix the glass is $1200, double the quote that they originally gave me. The manager calls me from this location and said I can give you $150 off the $1200. I told him it is not my responsibility of fault that you guys don't know what you're doing. I have used Safelite for years, on multiple cars and occasions. Safelite is the ONLY company that ever touched my windshield. They sell you on supposedly a "Lifetime Warranty" on workmanship and installation. LIES!!! Their technician left the roof of my interior upholstery where it meets the windshield frayed and exposed. I now have a- he-said, she-said situation where they are saying it's not the current tech, but regardless of current or past, it was a Safelite Tech, and I have a lifetime Warranty. Furthermore, why didn't any tech after that tech attempt to fix it? Why didn't any tech point it out as an issue on something they couldn't do? None of us fixed the windshield, so regardless of who, it was still Safelite. Lastly, their techs don't come make contact with you and drive off!!!!! I took time off work. He made initial contact, said he would call his shop and get guidance and then you know what he did, HE DROVE OFF, No contact, no call, no text... The Shop said they didn't know he drove off.... WHAT IS GOING ON?? When you pay almost $500 for a windshield due to the "trusted" name and then this happens?? There is so much more and not enough characters to type.... This has been an absolutely unbelievable situation. Melvyn from customer quality assurance said, and was relayed to me by the Manager, I should have reported it within a month. WHAT? An hour after I dropped my car off for the windshield to be replaced, I got a call saying that my windshield wipers were broken too and would I like them replaced for $70? I laughed and said, "It was raining yesterday and my wipers worked fine. If they need to be replaced - it's such an easy and affordable fix that I will do it myself for $20. Question: Do you call every woman and tell her the wipers are broken?" The Safelite guy said, "Corporate makes us ask everyone if they would like new wipers." I said, "You didn't ask me if I wanted new wipers, you told me my wipers were broken and needed to be replaced. That's not the same thing as a general offer to replace." He said, "I can offer you a $10 coupon" I said, "so now you're asking me if I want you to replace perfectly fine wipers for $60? No thanks." An hour later I got a call that the car was ready to be picked up. When I arrived, the woman in front of me said, "Did you add the $70 wiper charge to my card?" I said, "That's a scam."
