Going on two years with Brittany of SafePedi and still thankful for finding her. I'm mobility impaired with RA, on 24 hour oxygen, and have "weird" feet. Nails that need to be cut just so to prevent ingrown horrors from happening - callouses in strange places - etc etc. And to put a cherry on top - I have a plaque of psoriasis on the bottom of one foot - RA related possibly but a bugger to get rid of. No one in the pedi salons I had attempted to go to before, was even aware of what I was talking about and kept acting like it was jungle rot. I needed someone who knew feet and had taken the time to further their knowledge beyond OPI's latest seasonal nail polish. Brittany is that person. The time she takes with each toe - the care taken to find what you're experiencing with your feet along with what your feet tell her on their own - how clean everything is kept - the comfortable chair while getting your pedi - and, you still get a great paint job from a wide range of colors to "naturals". Another thing, especially for someone like me with breathing difficulties - not being in one of those salons where the over powering smell of acrylics and what not are enough to make a healthy person gasp. The air is clear, the music is soft and the atmosphere in general is soothing and professional. The first red flag was trying to schedule an appointment. That was a whole production, it took about a month to hear back even after multiple emails and phone calls. I was really hoping she could help my mom with a medical pedicure but I was so disappointed with this experience. She finally got back to me and scheduled me about a month out, well.. she ends up canceling one hour before my appointment. She offered to reschedule for another day about 3 weeks out, but this made me leary already. I went to check reviews on here and lo and behold, she has a history of cancellations with clients. Please do not waste your time trying to schedule with her. Businesses like this will never respect your time. read more

I originally had a difficult time scheduling my appointment with the same day reschedules which I will say was very frustrating. I was hesitant to reschedule the 3rd time but ultimately decided to give Brittany one more chance because I was in need of a safe pedi and the reviews of the clients that were able to get in were really good. Well I'm glad I did!! Every time I've gone to a regular salon for a pedicure I leave with my toes in pain and within days they are super red and inflamed or get infected. It's been almost a week since I had my appointment and I can report, no pain or inflammation!!! Brittany was very thorough and explained each step as well as gave some advice for other nail issues I've been having. Honestly forgot I was getting a pedicure because the conversation was so great. She's super personable and has such a great energy. I also like that her salon is private if you prefer to not be around a bunch of people. She canceled and rescheduled me repeatedly (5+ times over three months) and I was never able to get in. I understand emergencies happen, but if you're having to cancel your appointments this often (usually same day), perhaps you should rethink whether or not you have the bandwidth to run a business. read more

It is the best pedicure ever, and Brittney is nice to spend an hour or more with. And the food massage! It's hard to schedule with her, but she's the best and most expert pedicurist I've had. She's very good at following up and keeping in touch, so if you want the best, you might give her a try. read more

I had an unfortunate experience with Brittany from SafePedi. I made an initial appointment, she cancelled hours before the appointment (no excuse). We rescheduled, of course! No problem, things happen. Next appointment day, she cancels on short notice again...mold was bothering her. Ok... that is twice now. We reschedule. Third appointment day, low and behold she cancels 2 hours before appointment with a sick child. I completely understand the demands of being a mother and having other responsibilities. However, when you decide you want to be a business owner and you set appointments with customers, it is inappropriate and disrespectful to cancel three times. I read many reviews here on Yelp for Brittany and decided to give SafePedi a try since I wanted to treat myself to a very relaxing and excellent mani/pedi experience, but also an extremely safe one. I was happy with the space, although I expected it to be a little more of a serene spa-like environment than it was for some reason. Her space however is very nice, clean and comfortable to be in. Her cleanliness practices for her tools are great- the disposable foot baths and UV sterilizer made me feel very protected from any fungus- a big plus for me because I don't trust other salons to be so clean. Only downside to my whole experience is that my nails are already chipping after only 4 days- starting on day 3. I do use my hands quite a bit, but I would have hoped they would have at least lasted a week, especially for the cost of the manicure. I am hoping that my pedicure lasts longer for the $65 spent. Brittany was kind, nice, attentive, and fun to hang out with. More than this, I felt I was getting a completely safe pedicure for my wedding (the safety thing is very important to me). I waited a few weeks to see how it would last--and it has lasted amazingly well! I look forward to going back to get my toes re-done for my honeymoon. I did reschedule a 4th time...after all things happen, everyone has periods of difficulty or bad luck, I try to be very understanding...and when that was cancelled the night before, I decided to not reschedule. I wish Brittany the best. I understand that life happens, people get sick and personal responsibilities take precedence over work. However, I cannot help but think that she bailed 4 times because I am a new client. Is she treating her existing client base the same? I hope not. read more

Best pedicure I've ever received! I have a number of health issues which cause extreme sensitivity and pain. I explained all of this before Brittany began. She was super careful, always checking to make sure I was comfortable. I welcomed the personalized treatment and Brittany's compassion. She used tools I'd never seen in standard pedicure places and was clearly an expert at using them. I was thrilled with the result. My feet look better than they ever have before! read more

Well, sad to say, Brittany canceled on me today. I was very much looking forward to having this pedicure as I have read good things about her and really needed some taking care of this weekend. But as per other reviews, she cancelled- same day. I guess it could be the flu, as she texted, but I'm a little suspicious as she seems to have a history of canceling. Uncommon excellence, cleanliness and attention to details. Brittany does it RIGHT: She takes the time to meticulously work on every toe, safely, hygienically and with GREAT detail. You are never rushed because there are 10 people ahead of you or behind you - your time is your dedicated time slot. I have had a problem with ingrown toenail for years. I just went to Brittany recently after my long term pedicurist stood me up several times- as I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant that is just not cool. It was a revelation! She spent a full 2 hours with me (normally a pedi with her is 90 min- so awesome) for this first appt. as one of my toes has some major fungus issues that has caused 3/4 of my nail bed to separate from my toe. My feet have never looked or felt better. I have NO toe pain. None. I think her prices are really reasonable for the amount of time she spends and the quality of work. The 1 star rating is certainly not because of the services provided. If you want a quality pedicure that pays attention to detail, this is the place. But the constant appointment cancellations are horrible! I understand unforeseen things happen, but after 4 cancellations...I'm done! I will not rate Brittany's Safe Pedi business because actually I do not believe she takes it seriously. I am now retired but ran a service business for over 28 years in NYC. I cannot begin to express how unpleasantly amazed I am of her unprofessionalism. Not only did she cancel more than once, she also canceled the rescheduling. I found Safe Pedi when I was looking online for a salon that offers more hygienic pedicures than a typical strip-mall shop, and Brittany gave me the best pedicure I've ever had. Her pedicures usually take a hour and a half, and they are more expensive than a typical strip mall salon, but you get what you pay for. Brittany's service is exceptional. She even recommended a few products to help with foot and skin problems and mentioned where to buy them (she does not sell them). My pedicure with Brittany was very relaxing, and she made my feet look and feel great. read more

I've been to Brittany twice now and she has done a wonderful job on my ingrown toenails. I would love to have continued to have her treat my toenails but she cancelled my third appointment 10 times. Now I am a very patient person, but this was just too much. If you can catch her to do your nails, you will be very satisfied. read more
