    This screen was completely blocking my dryer's vent to the outside.

    For some time, we've noticed that our dryer was taking forever to dry and the "filter/vent alert" was coming on frequently. So, I made an appointment online for a vent cleaning figuring that was the problem. Carl called to let me know he was available earlier than our scheduled appointment, I let him know that was great. After a few minutes, Carl determined that I did not need a vent cleaning. He checked the outside vent and found a screen, that should not have been there was completely clogged. He removed the screen and then verified that the problem was fixed. Since I didn't need a vent cleaning, Carl only charged me for fixing the actual problem and charged me much less than the vent cleaning service. Carl left me a cool magnetic reminder card to contact him in the future to keep my vent clean and safe, which I will definitely be doing. Carl is very knowledgable, skilled, honest and polite. I highly recommend his service!!!

    Vent was serviced on 1/10. I wasn't there to observe the service, but by all accounts that were, he went above and beyond. Carl (whom is also the owner) not only cleaned the exhaust duct that lead from the dryer to the outside of the house (he also found a recently deceased bird that was wedged in the exhaust ) but he also cleaned the dryer itself and conducted a multi-point inspection. He did find one minor issue (lock) with the dryer but stated it shouldn't impact the overall performance. We as consumers tend to overlook this maintenance as most are probably used to just cleaning the lint holder, which should be after each use. In some instances, failure to clean the vent may cause fires due to excessive lint build up. Ideal maintenance is every 5 years or so but talk to Carl for a personal consult or schedule an appointment with him over the phone or via his website https://www.safesmartvent.com. The technician gave us a complete estimate and waited patiently while we considered options. No pressure whatsoever. Almost a month later we hired Roos. Our job was not an easy one as we changed over to electric from gas. The workers arrived on time and dressed cleanly. As the men were working I called in and asked for a quote for changing out our second unit. The owner came to the house and gave me a quote in person. We signed off and by the end of the week we had two beautiful new systems. This was the most professional group I've ever come across. Not only that, we got a smoking deal! What a value! Do not go anywhere else for your HVAC system service! Roo's is definitely the best!

    We started working with Roo's in March. They came out and told us that our AC unit was working and…read morenothing needed to be repaired. This is after we had another company come out and tell us that the evaporator coil was broken. We contacted Roo's because they are a Lennox specialist. Our unit stopped working in July and we contacted them about getting our AC repaired. John N. came off as helpful and responsive to our concerns and said he was going to come out on Monday. Monday comes and we get a phone call saying that he looked over the report from the last time someone came out and that he could tell the evaporator coil was indeed broken. He sent an estimate for what that was going to cost to get fixed. While on the phone with him we told him that we thought the motor on the unit might be broken as well and that we would like him to come out and check on that so we could get everything fixed at once. He stated that it wouldn't be necessary for him to come out and that it could be worked out when he came on Wednesday to repair the unit. Wednesday comes and John N. sends two technicians but doesn't show up himself. They finish the evaporator coil repair and try to turn on the unit. The motor is indeed broken. John N calls and lets me know that we have to wait two more days for the part and that it is going to cost extra money. Mind you all these parts are under warranty. I tell him that I think extra cost should not be put on my family because of mistakes the company has made up to this point. I call the office upset that now I have to wait two more days for the repair and this is after I asked John N to come out and check this specific part that ended up being broken. All of this after I had someone come out in March and told me everything was fine. I ask to talk to the owner and get told he will contact me. I have to call again the next day and still don't get in contact with the owner. I am told that the company wants to make this right for me. Friday comes and a new technician is scheduled to come out, John Y. He is friendly and gets to work. He finishes up and gives me the total bill which includes labor for the motor. I tell him that I don't feel like this is making things right and that someone had told me that I wouldn't be charged for that when I called the day prior. He calls the manager and I finally get to talk to him. I explain everything that has happened and he initially offers me a discount. I tell him that I don't feel like this is fair compensation for all the stress I have been through. I had to find someone where else to stay for 3 extra days because of a lack of communication due to his employees. He tells me that he is going to get to the bottom of the situation and will call me back. He calls back shortly and tells me that he recognizes all my concerns and that he is going to take off the charge for the labor for the motor. I really appreciate that he took the time to listen to my concerns and feel like he did right by my family. I will continue to use this company to do check ups and repairs because I appreciate that while mistakes were made, in the end they did right by their customers and took ownership for it.
