I can't say enough good things about Safety Garage Door, and especially our technician, Ramish. Our original TorqueMaster system completely failed, so we reached out for quotes through Yelp. Within about 30 minutes, Ramish was at our house. From the beginning, he was knowledgeable, transparent about the pricing, and never pressured me into making a decision. I had a lot of questions and was literally using ChatGPT while he was there to understand the different options. He patiently gave me the time to think through everything and answered every question I had. We ultimately decided to convert our TorqueMaster system to a traditional torsion spring system. Ramish did the entire conversion himself and had the new system installed within a few hours. What impressed me most, though, was what happened afterward. When he finished, he walked me through the new system and showed me how everything worked. To me, it looked and operated perfectly. But Ramish noticed something that I didn't and kept working on it because he wasn't completely satisfied with the result. He eventually told me he wanted to come back the next day to review everything again. He showed up on time and continued inspecting and adjusting the system. At this point, I genuinely thought everything was already finished, but Ramish noticed some slack in the spring that he wasn't happy with. Instead of saying "good enough," he replaced the spring. While he was working, I had actually gone back to ChatGPT to understand why he was being so particular. I read about a balance test used to make sure a garage door is properly counterbalanced. Before I even had a chance to ask him about it, Ramish performed the exact same balance test I had just read about. The door stayed exactly where it was supposed to. That was the moment that really gave me confidence that this guy knew exactly what he was doing. More than anything, Ramish clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. He wasn't just trying to finish the job and leave. He wanted to make sure the system was installed correctly and would work reliably for years. He caught things I never would have noticed and continued working until he was satisfied with the result. If this system ever does malfunction, I'll honestly be surprised. UPDATE- Technician finally arrived at 11:24 pm despite the tracker estimating arrival at 11:54pm. Technician was very quick to diagnose and provide options, and got to work right away. Khalid was a great technician (5 out of 5 stars for service), but ultimately giving 3 stars for the business because of the lack of a way to contact them again. The phone number originally used to make the appointment didn't work, and then a different number was listed on the tracker website which also didn't work. I ORIGINAL- Service requested via phone call at 10:21pm, and a technician was scheduled to arrive at the home between 10:30-11:30pm and a status tracker provided via text for an estimated arrival time of 11:08pm. As I continued to check on the tracker, the estimated arrival time kept getting delayed, from 11:08 to 11:30 to 11:45 to currently 11:54pm. I tried calling and texting Safety Garage Door to follow up since there shouldn't be traffic at this time of night, but despite being advertised as a 24/7 business, the line keeps hanging up on me. The technician out there was mumbling a bit and didn't speak the best English but I just went along with it. Also, I heard from neighbors nearby that our builders used mismatched springs to begin with so I was already expecting that we would need longer springs. I think he offered me two options one with a lower cycle count and one with higher, I just chose the higher for a better peace of mind. In any case, he replaced my springs within 20 minutes, so he was out of there by 8:40PM on the Sunday evening before a 3 day weekend. I had a weird issue where the garage door wouldn't open (due to tension springs wearing out on the torsion rod), and after much troubleshooting myself I called for help. The customer service was prompt in response, and time estimate for a technician to arrive. Ammar came promptly and immediately recognized what had happened given the complicated nature of the issue. He showed what had gone wrong, explained in detail how the wear and tear of various parts might have happened (replacing the parts where necessary), gave an accurate estimate, as well as any maintenance on parts required going forward. He completed the job in 90 mins - which involved replacing the 16 foot torsion rod, side bearing plate and drums heavy duty, powdered coating spring heavy duty, and the LiftMaster opener itself (as the belt had worn out and mine was from 08/2000 so the new belts couldn't replace the old ones).
