The first stop was to a Fry's in Scottsdale. One of the items purchased was their brand, Private Selection Mussels with white wine butter & garlic sauce. Sounds good right? I had these in the past and they were delicious. This was the planned dinner. I cooked them as directed. However after the allotted cooking time expired, at least a dozen of the mussels would not open. The rule always states if mussels don't open, it is a no no. Do not pry them open cuz they are likely to be bad. if it were 1 or 2 or them, it would have been ok. To not be able to eat so many was definitely an issue. I took the box, the unopened mussels, and receipt back to my usual Fry's store. Staff were sympathetic and returned my money with no contest. Thank you! i don't think I will buy those anymore in the future though on general principle. Shared parking and WiFi in the store. They still get 5 stars for being nice, cooperative and pleasant. The store is well stocked overall.
