I'm genuinely amazed. Nearly every time I try to log into the Safeway app to view your weekly ad, whether I'm using my home computer or my phone, it doesn't work. Yes, it works occasionally, but I find it hard to believe that something as simple as viewing a grocery ad fails for me roughly 50% of the time. What are the odds? For the floral department. I met with three different people regarding a spray for a funeral. These people were amazing. Kind patient and very helpful in the selection of flowers the design and color choices. I had a budget and they were able to design and meet that goal. There were small personal request that they made every effort to meet. Flowers are so personal it's important to get it right. The spray was perfect. Thank you very much. Ordered groceries for delivery and never received them. Called customer service and they said they would deliver them between 8 and 9 the next day. Never received them. Next time I order a cake and give crystal-clear instructions on how to spell a simple name for a 1-year-old baby, try using the one functioning brain cell you have to follow them. It's honestly embarrassing that such an easy task is apparently too much for you to handle. No surprise this place is drowning in bad reviews -- the incompetence is off the charts. And the hand writing was absolutely done by a walking clanker it looks like my 1 year old could have done it better and more cleaner and actually spelt it right And let's not even get started on the actual cake. I asked for something presentable for a baby's first birthday -- what I got looked like it had been decorated during a power outage by someone wearing oven mitts. The writing? Crooked, smudged, and barely legible -- as if a toddler with a crayon was the lead decorator. It's almost impressive how you managed to mess up every single part of the order. If this is your idea of "professional baking," then the bar is buried underground. Honestly, the only thing this bakery specializes in is disappointment. I purchased 6 visa gift card's in December for Christmas gifts and one was compromised 3 days after purchasing it. I did not give this to my daughter until 10 days after purchase. I have been trying to get my money back from Safeway ever since December with no interest or help from customer service I have been the one who always has to contact them and it is now June. Horrible customer service. Worst experience I've ever had with any retailer. Have escalated my complaints to Corporate. Still waiting on a call from a District Manager. I have begun calling lawyers to retain legal help and counsel bc this store has made horrific allegations that are now affecting my income as a doordasher, my ability to obtain groceries for my family including 3 children, and apparently now my sparkling clean criminal record. No one will answer my questions, one employee just repeatedly said, "you know" while I asked why they were doing what they were doing. The "FREE" primo taglio Italian cheeses that were advertised as available on Sunday, July 12 aren't anywhere to be found, AS USUAL. EVERY week, same thing. It's FREE but just try to find it. Had to go to Fullers for Pumpkin and in the meat department, looked for breast of chicken, "bone-in" and there was one choice @ $7.63 per breast. Meat department has memorized list of reasons why they are out of stock. Very expensive in the wine department and many 5 & 6 year old wines on shelf. Wonder why? One guess. Why would you get groceries here when you could get them a lot cheaper somewhere else? Just throwing that out there for consumption... So here's why I don't like this place: they actually don't like their patrons! Not kidding. I used to shop at Safeway when it was convenient. Now, I'll drive out of my way to go somewhere else, like Shop 'N Kart, rather than go here. This story explains it: I had my car broken in to the day after I moved back to the area from the East Coast. I guess I didn't realize how methed up everything got here and how classless some of the people had become. Yes, my wallet was in the car, along with a lot of other belongings... it's what happens when you move cross-country. And I got hit that night. The thieves took my cards and filled up their tank, their buddies tanks and everyone else's tanks involved at every gas station where they didn't see cameras. They filled up at the Texaco by Borst Park, but didn't realize there was a car wash camera. So based on the time of transaction, the manager was able to get us the video. It was hazy and the license plate couldn't be made out. HOWEVER, they left, and for some reason entered into the Safeway gas station area and ended up driving right through. This was caught on camera. They probably had no idea that, even though they didn't stop here and make a transaction, they were "followed" here by the Texaco cam. The manager at Safeway? He didn't care. He wouldn't let us see the video. I tried to plead to his sense of humanity: I was a regular customer. He still wouldn't budge. So, I am no longer a customer. You don't respect me, I won't respect you. And in case you're going to ask why I didn't get the cops to go there, I tried. Centralia cops are worthless. This is the same group of yahoos that went to the credit union while the guy who robbed it sat outside the whole time. read more

This is for the review of the bathrooms only at this an every Safeway in Olympia, WA. They are consistently disgusting The women s restroom in Centralia is the worst. For a long time it had cracked toilet seats, mold on the ceilings and broken paper towel dispenser. I wrote to the manager, no response, I sent a letter to corporate and got a response. 'WE HAVE LOOKED INTO THIS MATTER AND OUR MANAGER ASSURES US IT HAS BEEN RESOLVED" Nope. So I took several pictures and sent THOSE to corporate. Well that did get results, toilet was fixed, mold on ceiling removed. However it has since gone downhill again. I only use the bathroom there if i absolutely have to. The bathroom at rest stops are cleaner. It makes me wonder how clean are the areas you can't see. We only shop there for the fuel discount only. Otherwise we go to Winco or Hagen Foods (both have very clean bathrooms. If you are in the area, go over to the outlet mall across the street, they have very clean bathrooms. I am not one of those people terrified of germs, but really if you have to use a facility, you shouldn't have to see a dirty bathroom. read more

First I LOVE buying gas in Washington. I just love to pump gas. Not sure why. I stop at this Safeway because its about where I run out of gas. Normally the Safeway club card gets you more of a discount....but lately I've noticed the other stations on hip to their game and are pricing accordingly. So its not always the cheapest. It is a clean and consistent gas station to stop at. And the store inside is great for all the on the road munchies. read more

I shopped at the centralia Washington safeway. on average this store is good and deserves the best from me. but 1 day I was at the customer service area trying to learn about a service I was not experienced with. I had important questions and the cashier just treated me like a burden and was highly disrespectful. she didn't answer anything and was simply not friendly. there was no line of customers and no stress for her in sight. Reasonable lunch counter, with sandwiches and other deli items plus an array of Chinese food. There is a nice lounge area, with free wi-fi. Starbucks mini-outlet is there, if that is your thing. For a grocery store, it's a good combo. Take it to Borst Park if the weather's nice. read more

This is by far the worst grocery store in the area. The parking lot is always packed, as is the store. If you ARE able enough to find parking, you will have to negotiate through hoards of townsfolk and gacked out employees to find what you need, and wait another half hour in line to pay twice as much as Wal-Mart would charge you for your carton of milk. And to top it off, one of their dumbass employees tried to tell me my CLEARLY MARKED service dog, wearing his vest with big "SERVICE DOG" lettering on both sides, was not welcome in their store. Terrible customer service, I will never shop here again. During the holidays they advertised Prime Rib at a sale price, but only got in five three days before Christmas. When I went to Customer Service, I was told they could do nothing for me. Nasty store but when there are only three places in Town you end up having to go here. It took three weeks for restrooms to be cleaned properly. I complained on them multiple times. Now how I know they weren't cleaned is that there was a bloody hand print and the handicap stall door and it stayed there along with a spot on the wall and on the seat cover container. After the third week I wondered if it was just a stain so I took a towel dampened it, light scrubbed the spot and it disappeared. Gross!!! Few years back we dealt with the bakery. We ordered a cake and I wrote all over the form please spell the name right clearly spelling it out. Told the girl that took my order she said she would personally do it herself. When I got my cake they quickly opened a corner so everything appeared ok but you couldn't see it very well. When we got home the name was spelled wrong and the girl Monica was so rude about it. Next I grabbed so pretzel and cheese and fruit much trays they do someone had labeled them wrong they had a 1.99 price not a 3.99 price. When they rang up I used food stamps and they did not come off. Wendy the checker was beyond rude. She said just pay it and refused to investigate till I said no all my items are food. I asked for a supervisor she then huffed and looked through the bag found out that someone but a hot food sticker on the trays not the proper one. She then asked her co checker to do to deli to have this fixed. Granted the other lady had a line and her own customers. The other cashier went to deli had the sticker changed out. Wendy then proceeded to try and charge me over seven dollars for them. I said no I want the price they were marked at she said well that was a mistake they are this price. I again asked for a supervisor she huffed again and changed the price. I looked at her and said I still would like your supervisor. Which she never got, she never apologized and was rude through the whole thing. Staff are just rude. They get mad when you ask questions. The pharmacy is even worse. You drop off meds and have insurance issues they refuse to call you or the insurance and just right on the paper Insurance issues again. Then an older lady tried to charge me for my prescription when my children have Medicaid. I said no we have Medicaid. She then snarled under her breath "I have Medicaid people They need to pay copay like the rest of us". It only gets worse. The same lady (I suspect) made a false CPS claim against me stating that I slammed my child's head into the counter repeatedly and my child was screaming. Though while doing this in a crowded store no one stepped up because it was a lie. My son is autistic and he was in meltdown mode slamming his head into the dairy case. I grabbed him before he broke the glass placed him in front of me and put my arms on both sides of him so that he could no longer hurt himself or others. Not that the lady was even looking. She when making her false report gave out all of our information and part of my child's diagnosis completely violating HIPPA laws. In conclusion every bit of this store is horrible only go for quick snatch and grab items where you don't have to deal with the staff. read more
