    Empty donut case

Came here again, just to give it another try a few months later, same issue, there's three people behind the deli area working, and one out in front, and I stood at the sandwich counter for 15 minutes waiting for somebody to help me I called over a couple times, but nobody responded, two other people came to go to the hot food and the sliced meat and they got helped almost immediately. They came at least 10 minutes after I got there, it's just ridiculous. Edit: I also would like to add before I left the store. I attempted to trade in lottery ticket at the service desk, they have a button that you press that radios for somebody to come help you even though you're standing at the front of the store with a bunch of people staring at you from Safeway, I waited there for 10 minutes before giving up and leaving. Safeway service quality has diminished. Seems like nobody cares about the customer being happy anymore in these stores.

This is what I ordered. Exactly how it is shown.

This place is still just as horrible as ever. If you want to place a bakery order I suggest going anywhere but here. First of all, you can never find an employee working there. I tried twice then I gave up and went to the Safeway order ahead website where you can place an online order. I chose a seasonal cake, did not customize it whatsoever. Ordered as is two weeks in advance for a baby shower. When my husband got there they gave him the wrong cake. It was Ugly and plain and looked nothing remotely like the photo on the website. I went back to the bakery and asked them to correct the cake and instead got yelled at and argued with by the decorator who is completely unprofessional and has no business working with the public. Endlessly arguing with me saying "how was she supposed to know what the cake looks like with no picture!?" told her over and over this is directly from your website. It is not custom. You should know what cakes Safeway is selling. I even looked at the order form the bakery had and it said exactly what I ordered. Sounds like a training/cake decorator issue not a customer issue. 15 minutes of this back and forth. She was making me late for my own event. Telling me she's busy with customers orders and to come back later. I told her I am not coming back later. I ordered this two weeks ago for a certain date and time for a reason! So unprofessional I had to resort to a day old cake from the display case. It was ugly, dry and an embarrassment. Ultimately, about 15 minutes later, the manager came over to help, but what was done was done. They refunded the price they charged my husband for the original cake, and even that was a screwup because they overcharged my husband to begin with. DO NOT trust this place for any special occasion. The cake was absolutely terrible and nobody ate it and it wound up in the trash. It looks nothing like anything special. It just looked like a basic birthday cake. I am so disappointed and cannot get this day back. They ruined our cake with zero accountability or empathy for doing so.

Full Forest department I love all the flowers here was able to get a nice bouquet of flowers for my mother. This safe Way was pretty organized also had a nice produce section where I was able to get some romaine lettuce and fresh organic basil leaves. I was also able to find my favorite shampoo and conditioner in stock which was nice. I have been a Safeway shopper for many years. Overall it is my go-to grocery shopping store.

This Safeway is right by my house and is my go to spot since it is convenient! I love the butchers in the meat department! I like to experiment in the kitchen and they are a big help! They are willing to help cut anything to the perfect size for me! This is so important because we are a small household and I'm the only one who really eats meat. So I need less. They are also so helpful when I pick up a new cut and need some advice on how to cook it perfectly. I love how the specialty cheese section has grown recently! There is a local highlight which I love! As well as some great new finds! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I did recently have a bad experience with a custom cake but customer service was amazing with helping to resolve the situation!

The texture was also really good - they were super crispy, and the flavor was addicting. I'm sad I didn't grab more than I did because some of the flavors have already sold out. The thing with Grocery Outlet is once something is gone, there's a good chance you won't see it again. But I know other new and interesting things will eventually show up, so I don't fret. Also, keep an eye out for their discounted items. I found a Pistachio Pound Cake and couldn't resist it since the whole container was only $2. Unfortunately, I ended up not super liking it because it had a strong bitter aftertaste, which I'm sure came from the use of pistachio essence, so it just wasn't my cup of tea. But for $2 for a whole container, it was still a steal, I think.

The photo print center was particularly frustrating. I was initially told my prints would be ready in 6-7 minutes. After waiting around the store for about 20 minutes, I finally asked for help and was told there had been an error and it would be another 10 minutes. After waiting again and struggling to get someone's attention, I was then told there was a print queue and that I would have to come back at some unspecified time because no one knew how long it would take. That information would have been perfectly reasonable if it had been communicated at the beginning, instead of after nearly 45 minutes of wasted time. The only person who ultimately provided a clear answer was a kind employee who had literally just clocked in for her shift, which says a lot about the lack of organization beforehand. I rarely go to CVS, and this experience reminded me exactly why. I'll pick up my photos whenever they eventually become available, but I won't be returning. If you're considering using the photo printing services here, be prepared for delays, unclear communication, and a lot of waiting around.

Let's start by saying this - the average person is completely clueless about the source of their…read morefood. Most people think because something is labeled "free range", "grass-fed" or "organic", or if it's sold in Trader Joes or Whole Foods, that it's all created equal and it's all great quality. If you think that, then you might as well shop at FoodMaxx because at least that way, you're not getting ripped off. When I patronize Norcal Prime Foods, I'm not patronizing them because their food is labeled "organic". I give them my hard-earned money because when it comes to their meats and vegetables, it's of the best quality possible anywhere. They personally, carefully and thoroughly vet each and every one of their sources, ensuring the farm's practices are what you would expect from a sustainable supplier. Let's take the chickens for example...most people think that because the package says "free range", they have this image of chickens roaming freely on the land. No. Sorry to burst your bubble. That just means they are not individually caged up. Usually, they are still heavily confined to an extremely small area, are shoulder-to-shoulder (well, more like wing-to-wing lol) with the other chickens and stand/sit in their own poop for weeks on end because it's impossible for them to move. Don't believe me? Google it. It's not hard to learn about and it's no secret. Not the chickens at the farm Norcal uses, though. These chickens have room! Don't believe it? Ask them who their source is, they'll tell you and you can go see for yourself! That's how honest and ethical they are! The other thing I love is that as you become more and more vested with them, you get rewarded. I don't know any other store that does what they do. Anyone who runs a business knows that as time goes on, the longer you keep a customer, the more money you make off of them and more important than increased revenues is customer loyalty. Whether or not someone spends a lot of money is not the point. Whatever the amount is, if they spend it with you consistently, then you stay in business. They recognize this and pass along savings that make you want to stay. High quality food is very expensive because a) these suppliers are not subsidized the way the agricultural giants whose practices are unfavorable are subsidized, and b) production is not about quantity, it's about quality, and because of that, the price goes up. To offset this pricing, with each order you place, they take an additional 5% off your total order. So, from your 8th order on forward, you are saving 35% off their list price, which makes the pricing of your top-quality meats competitive to the bullshit they sell at your local grocery store. In short, you're paying more upfront (which is really just to offset the additional costs in acquiring a new customer and providing world-class service) but in the long run, you're winning. Oh, and I almost forgot: they stand behind their word 100%. If at any point you aren't satisfied with a product, just let them know and they'll happily replace it with something else you like. No questions. Will your local grocer or butcher do that for you? I've officially been with them for over a year now and love the service. You won't regret your decision if you spend your money with them. Cheers!

I had a prescription for a medication refill come through on day 26 of a 28 day supply. I was called that same day on the 30th by pharmacy staff stating my insurance denied the refill because it was "too soon." I had an intuitive feeling this wasn't the case. Insurances don't give refills once your nose is to the grindstone, giving a small window of time to have the pharmacy prepare the order and ensure they have it in stock. I asked for the pharmacy to please run the medication again the following morning. I communicated very clearly that as of Jan 1 my prescription would no longer be covered by my insurance. $1200 is the out of pocket cash price. It was imperative I get my prescription on the 31st. She was aware of this. She said she would leave a note. The morning of the 31st I was out running errands. I decided to go down to the pharmacy in hopes of waiting. I couldn't spend another stressful day wondering what was going on, taking a gamble on getting my medication in time. I knew there was absolutely no way my prescription would be denied one day before it was finished. I'm not ignorant, and this isn't my first time filling this medication. The girl at the counter recognized my name on the prescription, "this is the one where we couldn't fill because it was too early? We have your item here". She tried to run the prescription. Came back with the "they're still telling me it's too soon." After trying to explain to her that this is impossible, showing her on my phone it had been one day short of 4 full weeks since I had gotten it refilled, and again communicated the urgency, I got the spiel that there's nothing they can do to force it through. Brick wall, no checking details, no attempt to problem solve. I suggested I call them, she agreed. I asked for a copy of the insurance rejection paper after she offered. I went outside and called my insurance, I called the number on the paper the pharmacy provided me. My Insurance insured me that they would be happy to refill my item. It was NOT too soon. She said it was specifically missing a code entered into the pharmacy computer from the prescription (provided by the doctor) in order to move forward. She gave me the name of the code rejection. I looked at the paper provided to me from the pharmacy, and very CLEARLY saw it stated the code as the reason for rejection. Nothing about it being too soon. The insurance let me know I was given misinformation, and this code must be entered to get filled. She said if the prescription was missing this code, its the pharmacies duty to call the doctor and get it. How did they not catch this? Aren't they trained to notice these important details? They run people's insurances as part of their basic structural job function! I'm livid! I went back in the pharmacy and got the girls attention who originally helped me. I told her exactly what my insurance said. She knew what code I was talking about. I pointed out on the paper she provided that very CLEARLY says the CODE was the reason for rejection. She prints up the original prescription and starts typing stuff in the computer. Didn't say a word to me, just typed. I asked her directly if the code they needed was on there and was in fact provided by the doctor to begin with. She said yes. Then let me casually know that they can have my prescription ready for me in 10 minutes. Yay me right? I maintained my composure and stayed polite the entire interaction, because my objective was to get my medication. But I did make a comment that thank God I called the insurance myself and done my due diligence, had I waited the time that they told me: ONEC this would've never gotten approved regardless of time and TWO it would've costed me $1200 out of pocket. She agreed. That was the entirety of the conversation. She let me walk off to wait. When it was ready, she rang me up like normal. No apology, no decency to acknowledge their error. And like I said, I was completely polite the entire time. Where is the accountability here? I feel that this type of error is gross negligence on behalf of a professional pharmacy staff. I probably wouldn't be here sharing such distain had she at least taken accountability and apologized! To add insult to injury, the call I received on the 30th telling me it was rejected because it was "too soon" wasn't the same individual that gave me that same reasoning in person on the 31st. For TWO seperate pharmacy technicians to give me an inaccurate reason that my insurance denied my refill, when their system very CLEARLY depicted the denial reason as something ELSE, is completely unacceptable. How do I as a customer, not a trained pharmacy staff member, have to point out this error to get my medication? I will absolutely never use this pharmacy again.
