Worst grocery store ever. They will only have one check out person on weekdays at 5pm. If you can get a self checkout good luck, they are always broken. So frustrating!! read more

Could be a better store with more attention, though I will say that much of the staff are quite helpful, friendly and hard working.. Food: Old produce left out attracting flies. Browning packaged meats and bagged salads. Food left on shelves with passed expiration dates. Checkout Lanes: It is a rarity to have more than one checkout lane open for those with 15+ items, no matter how busy the store is. Lines often trail into the food aisles. Sometimes self-checkout is one line, other times it's two lines. Savings: Coupons that I've put on my card from their website are not always honored (not expired, correct size/amount etc.). Also I personally don't like the constant promotion of gas deals with Exxon...the gas company that had record quarterly profits. read more

I'm about done shopping here. Several times I've been over charged for items. The last time was a few days ago. We went to the deli to get turkey for sandwiches. The sale sign said $7.99 a pound. When the guy weighed it to put the sticker on it came up $11.99. My husband pointed it out and the guy ensured him it would ring up $7.99 at the register. Well, it didn't and we were charged $4 more than what we were supposed to. I'm sick of it. I'm about ready to strictly shop at Wegmans. There's too much competition out there to continually overcharge people for their groceries that are supposed to be on sale. If Safeway weren't so close, I'd never go back period. But I'm also done throwing my money away!!!!! read more

This is the only Safeway in the area so I do shop here often as I love Safeway. Unfortunately the service here is touch and go. I've encountered attitude in the deli a few times, as if I was bothering them, and it was off peak times. Some cashiers care more about gossiping with their counterparts than helping check out customers timely and accurately. The bathroom is hideous and always dirty. This location is smaller than others in the chain but they do carry a good selection. Still much better than the other local grocery stores. Starbucks is convenient and a plus. They also have a coinstar I've used quite a bit. Overall the store is clean. Just wish customer service was more of a priority. Produce can be touch and go also. Try and catch them on a day they are stocking. Biggest complaint though is lack of open checkout lanes during peak times. Long lines are common. And why not have all four self checkouts open? read more

I really like this store. I've had some really friendly cashiers. But if you are coming pretty late at night( they're open til 12 am nightly), beware there'll only be one checkout lane open. Definitely download the Safeway app if you regularly shop here, you do need a loyalty card to partake in the specials. If you don't want to DL the app, access your card online. You can load coupons to the card Based on the items you buy, they'll have special prices "just for you" but you do have to load them to your card to take advantage of them! Regular priced items are quite high, so try to get what you need when it's on sale. Shop on Fridays for their $5 deal selection, sometimes there are pretty good specials for $5( like deli meat for $5/lb, cereal 3/$5, seafood...)! Try to get in early, their stock can be quite limited on some of those steals. read more

The management is not doing the right thing with this store. The checkout lines are consistently understaffed, resulting in unreasonable wait times to checkout. I come during lunch (when there is a rush) and there's always only one cashier, and usually at least one of the 4 self-check-out terminals is out of order. The staff is not very friendly, either. There have been several incidents of finding expired products on the shelves - not good. Management needs to get this store in order. read more

I travel a lot for a living, and usually Safeway is a decent grocery store anywhere I've been. Anywhere EXCEPT here. The clerks make it overtly obvious that they give zero ****s about customer service. Most of the time, they stand around talking to each other or texting on their phones instead of helping customers, even when the customers are asking them directly for help. Their latest "innovation" was to remove all handheld baskets. It would work if they also had carts, but apparently they're happy with the "1 cart to 20 customers in the store" ratio they have going on. I give the store props for being consistent, but please recognize that they are consistent only in visibly demonstrating contempt for customers. If you need to buy a lot of groceries, perhaps camp out the night before so you can grab one of the few carts available, or maybe troll the parking lot to see if you can find any strays. Assuming you do find a cart and can find products that haven't been sitting on the shelf two years past the sell by date, then good luck ringing up your load at the self checkout or begging the express lane clerk to ring you up, because they only ever open the Express Lane or self-checkput lanes. Assuming you go to the self-checkout, start waving down the clerk right away, because the scales and machine are going to guaranteed screw up at least once, and you want to give the clerk enough time to finish her texts to her fellow checkers or her discussion with the bag boys who are on break, because hey, why be rude to these "hard-working" staff? FYI, don't expect consistency in what they stock on the shelves. Their training seems to be on the order of "if someting sells out, that probably means people don't like it, so just move other cans or bottles over to that spot and never order or speak of that item ever again." read more
