Extremely disappointing experience with the pharmacy. I dropped off my dog's prescription…read moreapproximately a week ago and received **zero communication** from the pharmacy during that entire time. My dog has been taking this medication for over a year, and I know it takes about two days to ship to the store, which is why I planned ahead and submitted the prescription nearly a week in advance. When I finally called on September 9 to find out what was happening, I spoke with an employee named Ahmed. He did not introduce himself, I was left on hold for more than five minutes, and when he came back he told me the medication hadn't come in because of the holiday weekend and that my veterinarian's DEA credentials were supposedly "expired." I contacted my veterinarian myself, and they told me there was **no issue with their DEA credentials** and that the problem was on the pharmacy's side. What makes this even more frustrating is that the medication apparently wasn't even ordered until September 8 -- approximately six days after I dropped off the prescription. If there was an issue with the prescription, why didn't anyone contact me or the veterinarian when it was first identified? Why was I left to discover the problem myself nearly a week later? When I asked Ahmed why the medication hadn't been ordered sooner, his response was essentially that there had been a holiday weekend and that I could just pick up the prescription and have someone else order it for me. When I tried to understand what had happened and what I could do differently in the future to prevent this from happening, he became dismissive, stopped meaningfully responding to my questions, and was sarcastic when I asked to speak with a manager. Thankfully, I was eventually able to speak with the pharmacist, who was professional and actually gave me a clear answer about when the medication was expected. The frustrating part is that this could have been handled so easily. If there was an issue with the prescription, **call the veterinarian. If there was going to be a delay, communicate with the customer. If a mistake was made, acknowledge it and apologize.** Instead, there was no communication for nearly a week, the prescription was apparently delayed unnecessarily, and when I called for answers, I was treated like I was inconveniencing the employee. I understand that pharmacies get busy and that prescriptions can encounter issues. What I don't understand is the complete lack of communication and the dismissive, sarcastic attitude I received when I tried to get a straightforward explanation. This was not just a frustrating experience -- it made me question whether I can rely on this pharmacy to appropriately handle an important medication for my dog. I sincerely hope management addresses both the prescription-handling process and the customer service I received from Ahmed.

Pharmacy review In…read moreshort I know I can't complain much, because it isn't even Bartell's anymore--it's Rite-Aid in subsidiary form, responding to that company's leadership. But this was ridiculous. In long I was overdue for a booster and wanted to get in to the closest pharma to my house. I've had a handful of solid experiences here, anyway, through the years. Booking was easy online, even got to pre-load my insurance info and all that. Rescheduling online was also easy when I ended up making fun plans during my originally-scheduled time slot. I finally get in and the store seems the same--multiple rows, multiple aisles, clean, brightly lit, seems well-enough organized (though that's coming from someone who wasn't shopping). Get back to the pharma counter and 4 folks are working. 2 folks in line. One finally finishes and I step up. Been about 5 minutes at this point, but all is normal so far. One person peels off to help the drive-through folks. Were they really next? I dunno, but it's easier to feel abandoned at the window if nobody comes over, so I get it. 10 more minutes go by. Dude isn't paying attention, and neither am I, because I hadn't realized there was now a line behind me. Dude jumps the line. He, uh, clearly needs his meds, and has some difficulty walking, so I don't feel the least bit bad waiting a little longer. I'm still standing at the window, big dude wearing a bright-red plaid shirt. Somebody else jumps the line. She is able-bodied, and also needs the tech to ring out a couple bottles of wine from her shopping. He does. I am now almost 30 minutes into my visit, no one has said hello, and I am the least thing from invisible. Finally the tech working the drive-through comes back over, apologizes profusely, gets things started, and I stand there for a few minutes. Another tech comes over, points to me, says they had better "verify" me, and they walk away. Who thinks this is the right way to behave around customers? Approaching 45 minutes of waiting, the main pharma says they don't have the vax I've been on. Asks if I'll take another one. I say I have no idea whether I should. I have to ask him what I should consider before deciding, and he says people switch back and forth all the time without issue. Okay. Why hadn't you said that up front? I wait 10 more minutes and finally get the jab. He's pleasant and competent and I am in and out quickly. The "consultation room" is a combination storeroom/washroom, with stacks of boxes blocking a sink. It feels like the washroom in any strip mall restaurant on 99. In the end, a visit that could have taken maybe 5 minutes took almost an hour, while they ignored me, made odd comments within earshot, and asked odd questions. This does not seem like the kind of work environment where people can thrive. Unless you're just using the retail side, I'd avoid.

So far, the changes have destroyed the good customer service that went away when Bartell was disolved. Every change made by CVS is counterintuative to customer advocacy and support. CVS does not give a damn! You are no longer a person or a customer of a human being. You are a number and a paying business opportunity. CVS is going to have try a lot harder if they really give a shit--which does not seem to be the case. They don't care. Struggle on your own! Shame on CVS. Shame. Shame. Shame.

I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I've been extremely disappointed. One of my meds they told me they do not have in stock and will not be ordering it. When I asked why not or if they'd ever order it they said not many of their patients request it. Other times when I've asked about it they said there is often a shortage because it's being over-prescribed which seems like the opposite issue then no one needing it. Still they never offered to carry it so I had to go to a separate pharmacy just for that med. My other meds became more expensive at Edmonds Pharmacy than the other pharmacies so I ended up transitioning them elsewhere. There is never a notification of meds being ready via text/phone or any other method so sometimes I'd go and they'd not have gotten the order or they had something waiting for me for a long time that I didnt know they filled. Today was the last straw though, I tested positive for Covid after having severe symptoms and wanted to get the prescription for Paxlovid filled nearby but when the provider contacted Edmonds Pharmacy they were told that they don't carry Paxlovid. My provider called me shocked and told me it was unbelievable they dont carry this of all things. Please think about the community you're serving and re-evaluate the decision to carry meds your customers are requesting.
