So I'd been hearing about this restaurant for a while and decided to check it out. Must say it is a very nice restaurant. Decor is simple and true to tradition they even play Indian music which was a plus. I had the vegetable Biryani with naan, Aloo, Goat curry, Tandoori chicken, Chicken tikka masala, Chicken curry, and Mango Ice cream. Food was hot and fresh. All of it was very delicious you get the items that are most popular to sample. Next time I will definitely order from the menu since I'm still new to the food. Saffron has more variety than any other Indian buffet that I have been to. Not only do they have variety, but quality, every item is unique and cooked perfectly! The place is clean and the servers are very polite and helpful if you have questions( which I had a lot...:) ) Their deserts vary by the day. Sunday they have Gulab Jamun, which is my favorite. I normally do not do buffets as I find them lacking quality in the food. Saffron was a pleasant surprise. The Food quality is high. Everything was hot and fresh. Very flavorful and just enough spice. My husband and I have eaten at well over 35 Indian restaurants over the years and this restaurant is an all time favorite! We always have Chicken Tikka Masala when trying a new restaurant because it's one of our favorite dishes and it's a good indicator of the rest of the food. Saffron has the best we've ever had. Several items on the buffet were cooked homestyle which gave us the opportunity to broaden our experience with our favorite cuisine. The Poriyal and the Aloo cooked as a stir fry were delicious. Passing through Montgomery and we were starved. Found this gem of a restaurant and now we are stuffed. Best Indian food we've had in a long time. If we lived here we would definitely be frequent repeat customers. We will have the opportunity to pass through again and we will definitely be back. Had the Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) and their signature dish, Saffron Chicken. And one order of the Cheese Garlic Naan was so delicious with all the fresh garlic; one was not enough... Well one was enough, but it was so good we ordered a second one... Hence why we are stuffed... And we still had some leftovers to take home. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more

I will say the food is good. Customer service is ok but a little bit slow. The Indian salad is great however it seemed Everytime we went it started getting smaller and smaller. This place was a very welcome surprise. I had a six week training in Montgomery and managed to eat here four times! The food was very flavorful and buffet was well stocked. I love this place. My whole family thoroughly enjoys the buffet, even my son who can be picky at times. They always have fun items for kids and he loves the mango ice cream. I love the variety they have. My husband loves non-veg and I love veg so it works out great. When we can't make it to the buffet, we order pickup or use one of the delivery services. The food always arrives super hot, well-wrapped with Saran Wrap to avoid spills. The food is always fresh, high quality, and just delicious. Raj, his wife, and the rest of the employees are super nice and serve with a friendly smile. If you haven't tried it before and not sure what you like, check out the buffet and try a few things. This is an excellent restaurant. The food is great and very fast and courteous service. We were back to Atlanta from Florida and visited this place . We got delayed beyond 2.30 closing time and still they let us in as we called in before . We eat at a lot of Indian restaurants. This is the best we've had in several years traveling around the country. They had some unique dishes. We especially liked the Andhra curry. We had not seen that dish before. Their garlic naan was the best we've had in a very long time. Very garlicky. The spiciness of the food was just right. I got medium saffron chicken and it was not too spicy. My husband and son got the spicy vindaloo and Andhra curry. Both had a good kick but not too spicy. I'm not from the area but came up to visit my sister. We both love Indian food and she told me we had to eat at Saffron Indian Kitchen. I'm glad we did! One of my favorite dishes is Rogan Josh and was happy to see it on the menu. My sister was nervous doing a lamb dish but once she tried it, she was hooked. We also had a chicken dish and Aloo Gobi. Based on reviews, my family and I decide to dine at Saffron last night, while visiting the Montgomery, AL area. The staff was friendly and welcoming and helped us navigate some of the menu options. I was unsure if I should order a mango lassi to drink. The waiter wanted to make sure I would enjoy it, so he offered me a sample to try. It was delicious!! So I ordered it. The waiter said the the yogurt in the lassi was made in house. The rest of the food was extremely good with well sized portions.
