Wish I could give Saffron more stars!! Hands down my favorite place in Twin to eat! There is not one dish I don't like. Food is fresh, full of flavor and the service is excellent. The butter chicken or lamb are my favorite! If you're vegetarian, you have to try the aloo ghobi! My hubby and I choose this for our date night every time and it never disappoints. The owner/chef is so kind to all of his guests and takes the time to explain how each dish is cooked. This is a one of a kind restaurant and I'm so glad they brought this to Twin! read more

I am from bay area California and have many many Indian restaurants around here but the "mutter paneer" we ate in "Saffron", twin falls is outstanding - just like they make in India. In Town from Houston and heard about this new place and we were not disappointed. Seriously good Indian food-and I've tried a lot. We had this amazing mango and coconut tandoori fish chefs special and basically licked the plate clean. Didn't even have time to snap a picture. This place was fantastic. A much needed and welcome change from the burgers, pizza, or tacos choice that has so flooded our area. The flavors were all unique and complex. The variety of tastes within each dish was amazing. I was happy with every item we tried. The lamb curry was nice and paired well with the garlic naan. The only downfall was that the "hot" option was definitely lacking in heat. The service was phenomenal and very attentive. Our server took time to explain anything we asked, in detail. I have been enjoying Indian food for many years, including dishes from Saffron. I had not been there for sometime; a friend and I went there for a meal yesterday. I ordered the Lamb Curry; it had a lot of fat in itn and it was greasy. The mint chutney (they do not serve the usual chutneys and do so in SMALL quantities) tasted like the mint was too old - it was just bad. They need to improve the quality of the food in order to give diners good value for their money and to display the cuisine of the culture with more pride and respect. read more

The food was incredible! The chef/owner makes a taste of India for lunch that gives you a wonderful spread of different foods. The service was also delightful. The chef and his fiancé took the time to have personal conversations with the diners and to explain to us the different parts of the meal. The husband and wife duo who started this modest restaurant have a solid training from the best restaurants in the Bay Area, India and Peru. Sanu (the chef) and Rosemery( the front of house manager) are humble and explain their dishes with passion and authenticity. Love the flavors - they are complex but not over-powering and the presentation is top notch. If you are new to Indian food - definitely give Saffron a try. I'm from a place with a fair amount of Indian options and this restaurant could compete in a more crowded market easily. Everything is good and they weren't weak sauce with the spiciness like so many other restaurants are in Idaho (I get why though). I think the limited menu is generally a good sign and we'll be coming back regularly during our Twin runs. Owner told us they'd be opening a Ketchum location by the Tamarack this summer and can't wait. read more

I was very excited to try this restaurant and was very happy with my overall experience! As someone who isn't overly familiar with authentic Indian foods the waitress and staff were very accommodating and patient to explain the flavors and what naan and breads pair nicely with each entree. Spectacular Indian food! I have had Indian food all over the world & this is the real deal! We had fabulous Butter Chicken (Makhani) & Chicken Curry & garlic naan & were in heaven! They asked hot spicy we wanted it & we asked for medium & it was the perfect amount of heat! They just opened 2 months ago & the owner was so friendly & our server was too! Let me say I love Indian Food, I love supporting local businesses. I love to review on Yelp because this is where I go when I want to check out a restaurant before checking it out. But I've now gone to Saffron a few times in this last year and this time I stuck to some basics, Samosas and butter chicken. Again it was almost flavorless (for Indian food). Buyer be cautioned, I can only give you my opinion based on only my experience, I have eaten Indian food from east to west coast. I have eaten in restaurants and in Indian and Pakistani homes. The samosas were tasty, and I would absolutely order them again. They failed to put any of the chutneys after we requested them. The butter chicken was beyond disappointing, there was just oil, no salt, no heat or spicy. Tonight I wanted my choice of comfort food. Indian! So my disappointment was heightened I guess. Little India is no better, at least Saffron is in a better location. I want them to be better, we need more Indian food in Twin! I'll keep trying and keep reviewing. read more

One of the best places for Indian food that I have visited in US. The ambience is good, staff is extremely enthusiastic and food is delicious and authentic Indian. I tried the mango lassi, garlic naan, chicken Tikka masala, Dal makhani. They also served a little bowl of rice along with Dal makhani. This place is quite affordable, and serves really good food. It has opened just 12 days ago so one wouldn't find many reviews. I completely recommend trying out food here. I wish the hotel owner good luck. read more

My first time to Twin Falls driving through to Montana, found this place as the brew pub we were going to could not accommodate us. So happy to find this restaurant, to say it was good is an understatement and I love Indian food. It was so good we are planning to come back for lunch on our way back through town. I am not a regular Indian food diner, so when my friend in T Falls suggested Saffron I thought, ok, not my first choice, but we'll see. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. It is not what you would call an "intimate dining experience" but the food was great and it's not expensive. The service was friendly and they were happy to explain the various dishes. We had the Somosa and one of the 65's (second one down on the menu) for starters, and a salmon and a lamb dish over rice for entrees. The salmon was small but very good, and the lamb dish more than made up for the small salmon plate. All of it was very tasty and well presented.
