Amazing restaurant for comfort foods and Dhaka vibes! I especially recommend the keema puri, murog polao, barbecue chicken, naan, and finni!

We always hear so much about this chain of Bangladeshi food. Thought we should give it a try and was hoping to really have our minds blown. I mean, it was good, but not that great. There is no decor or ambiance to the place at all, just a hole in the wall. The staff was friendly and helpful though. We are used to experiencing the "rude/I don't care" attitude from many Bangali places, but the staff was legit nice here. We ordered a few items and some were okay or just plain bad. The goat curry had an awful smell to it, we couldn't even eat it. The veggies, samosa, bread and chicken were meh. I think the fish was the only winner, everyone seemed to only enjoy that the best. There wasn't really much else to say about the place, nothing exciting.

I have tried quite a few things from here so I'll start off with what I would not get again: chicken with biryani. The chicken is not fresh and the rice is not any better. The goat version was good but it was mostly bones and not meat. I like the omelette, very nice and homestyle. The rotis and parathas are excellent- not oily at all. The samosas are not bad. My favorite thing from here is the chai, it's lovely!

If I could I would have given them 0 stars. My dad take out samosa from them and after he came home he saw it's completely burnt! They didn't look at the food before giving it to their customers! Are you kidding me! It is totally unacceptable! Look at the pictures for clarification. They look greasy and disgusting

Great Bangladeshi Chinese food place. Always kept the same quality and taste. I guess the best seller is the chicken lily pops.

Not consistent with their food quality, once their roast is really yummy and 2nd time ordered, it was the worst roast ever tried.

The cashier, Sahan, was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from the start. What stood out the most was how unfairly customers were being treated. I had been waiting to be helped, but instead of serving people in the order they arrived, he skipped over me and chose to help female customers who came after me. It was very obvious and felt extremely disrespectful. When I tried to address my concerns, the situation only got worse. Sahan claimed he was the supervisor, but when I asked to speak with management, he refused and would not provide any way for me to contact someone above him. Rather than trying to help resolve the issue, he acted like he didn't care at all and made the whole interaction unnecessarily frustrating. On top of the poor attitude, he seemed unwilling to answer simple questions properly and came across as incompetent when handling basic customer service. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the issue, and no effort to treat customers fairly or professionally. I came here expecting good food and decent service, but the way I was treated left a terrible impression. Customers deserve respect, fairness, and professionalism regardless of who they are. Management seriously needs to pay attention to how staff members like Sahan are representing this business, because experiences like this are exactly why people choose not to come back.

Based on the menu we wanted, Khalil Biryani ended up being the one with the best rates per person. A few restaurants had cheaper fixed catering packages, but once we swapped in the dishes we actually wanted, their prices ended up being higher. We worked with Rubel at the Jamaica location and he was patient, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. On the event day, the food was delivered right on time. Everything was packaged well and they included clear instructions on how to handle the food so it stayed fresh until serving. For appetizers, we ordered 70 chicken samosas, but they gave us 80. In fact, they were generous with all the catering trays and gave us noticeably more food than we expected which we really appreciated. For the mains, the beef biryani was awesome. The taste actually reminded me more of a beef tehari than a traditional biryani but that wasn't a bad thing. The beef was cooked perfectly, tender, and very flavorful. The eggs for the biryani was given seperately so they didn't get soggy and broken. My only room for improvement here is the meat distribution between the trays. The overall amount of meat was perfect, but the first two trays had too much meat and not enough rice, while the last two trays were mostly rice. The chicken roast was another standout. The spices were well balanced, the chicken was fall off the bone tender and it received compliments from just about everyone. The shami kababs were probably the weakest item. They were okay. I've definitely had more flavorful versions elsewhere. There was also a simple salad that was included. For dessert, the gulab jamuns were the best we've had in NYC so far. Overall, the beef biryani, chicken roast, and gulab jamuns completely exceeded our expectations. We had several guests ask where the food was from, including people who live in the area and have plenty of access to Bangladeshi restaurants. That says a lot. Kudos to the Khalil Biryani team for helping make our event a success.

So on my way to meet my friends I decided to stop by. Upon searching on google it says opens at 1 pm, but they actually opens around 3/4 pm. I Gus's because it's a snack place, most desi people will come in the evening. Some young Bangladeshi friends decided to open a authentic Bangladeshi snack place, what an awesome thing to do! Rather then living on minimum wage at Dunkin' Donuts or McDonald's ! They decided they wanna try something different & make money for a better future! The owners are nice, very welcoming & super helpful. I ordered chatpati & lemonade! Both tasted great! Was full, so could not try out fuchka or faluda. Maybe after a month I will stop by again just to see how it's going. I hope this place does really well & have more Bangladeshisnacks in time, which we all Bangladeshis miss terribly I also wish I lived in Jamaica I would been their every day customer! I saw someone in google complaint about the price being high. I have to say this, so here it goes : 'We desi people will pay way more to an American food place without a single complaint! But don't wanna pay decent amount to our own kind! ' Really sad & disappointing! Please lets help our small desi restaurants to grow ! Don't be be so judgmental, they just opened. Give them some time so handle things! It's not that easy to open a business & make everything perfect in weeks! Btw , the food is actually pretty good. As long as their food is great & they keep the place nice & clean please don't complain! Instead encourage, so they do much better in future

Eater has this place listed as one of the best burgers in the city - specifically the lamb burger. They describe it as thick and juicy, which to me is say no more! I love lamb. I did enjoy the burger, but was hoping it would be cooked to medium (I forgot to specify), but mine was well done. The lamb flavor shined through. I will get this again asking for it medium. The fries were medium cut thickness and crispy. Besides this, our group also tried the Shag Panner (I usually see this spelled saag paaner), which was the sleeper hit. Everyone enjoyed the amount given and thought it was delicious. The lamb biryani was also enjoyed by the group with chunks of lamb meat buried inside the rice it had a good flavor. I like they had a bottle of white sauce on the table which is really delicious on everything. Mango Lassi, or intensely flavored milky tea or cans of soda round out the drink options. Karela is controversial as far as veggies are concerned given the namesake pronounced bitter aftertaste, but Panshi's technique of generously drowning the gourd in mustard oil removed any misgivings I may have harbored.
