Food was nice and service very pleasant. I had lobster bisque soup and my company ordered pappardelle with meat. Cozy nice place to eat dinner or have a glass of wine! Will come back again:) Thank you

I was invited to a family party held at Sage Bistro recently and it was my first time visiting but it definitely won't be the last! It looks small when you first walk in but the back really opens up and I like when restaurants have booth seating. The service was phenomenal, we were a large private party and everyone's drinks were always filled, both alcoholic and non. I really enjoyed my appetizer and dessert, my entrée was just okay but it was, again, a large event so I'm sure that's part of why. The personalized menus for our party weren't clear on what came on the steak and ultimately I think I would've enjoyed another dish better but that's no fault of the bistro. Can't wait to come back here for date night to try some French cuisine!

This is just an update of my previous reviews. We still love it. At 6:00 PM on Saturday night, when we arrived, there were still several tables available, but by 7:30, it was full. My appetizer was just a straightforward cold shrimp cocktail, except (pardon the oxymoron) the four shrimp were very large. My wife and friend split the shrimp avocado tower (salad) appetizer. It looks small (see photo), but it was enough for two and they enjoyed it. This time, my entree was the filleted branzino, tonight served with green beans, almonds, and onions (see photo). The two pieces were thick and thin, well cooked, but juicy in a delicious sauce. Again, I love their crispy crusted French baguette with butter plate.

Tried out Sage Bistro during restaurant week. We came in on a rainy Sunday evening and while we had a reservation, they had plenty of open tables. Ambiance and decor in the restaurant is very nice with the tables set back behind the bar. We did order from the Pre-fix menu, but started by sharing the zucchini pancakes (not on the pre-fix menu) which were really good. I then had the Lobster bisque, which was OK but definitely needed more lobster and my husband had the grilled chicken flatbread- which was large enough to take some home with us. For main courses I had the moules frites- the mussels had plenty of sauce and were good but the fries weren't thin and crispy like I am used too, they were thick frozen fries. My husband had the linguini and clams which was also O. We both finished with the pumpkin bread pudding which was really good. Glad we tried someplace new, especially with the option of the restaurant week menu.

It's pretty spacious inside but you wouldn't see that from outside. Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Had their flavorful french onion soup which was really good, no wonder it's popular! For our entrees we had the pecan chicken which was really good, pecan breading was a great touch and came with sweet potatoes, however I don't remember seeing that on the menu and thought it came with mashed potatoes. My husband had the rack of lamb which he said the meat melted off the bones and wants to come back for this next time. Our friends had the steak with pepper sauce which was also flavored well, the sauce was divine, French onion pork chop which tasted like French onion and was so pretty plated and the grilled chicken salad. We ended with a warm apple pie and raspberry compote which I didn't think I'd like because I'm not a fan of raspberry but was very good! Better than the apple pie!

I was looking for a French restaurant near the Nassau Suffolk border and I found Sage Bistro here on Yelp. I was very impressed by the ambiance, waitstaff, and of course the food! The Spinach/Artichoke Dip appetizer was kept warm by a flame underneath the bowl, and toasted pita were provided for dipping. The warm slices of crunchy-crusted bread, served with butter, were also excellent platforms for the dip. I ordered the Filet Mignon Salad (asked for no cheese) and had 3 delicious, tender medallions of steak, on a bed of greens, apples, walnuts and more. For dessert I had an apple tart with Hazelnut ice cream and an espresso. It was an excellent meal, and moderately inexpensive for a Saturday lunch. Will definitely return!

Every plate felt carefully put together, with classic French techniques and just enough creativity to make each dish feel special. And then there was dessert. The profiterole was the perfect ending to the meal--a light, airy pastry filled with ice cream, covered in a crisp hazelnut shell, and finished with a smooth chocolate glaze. For some of us, this is a return visit after 2 years. A reservation was easily made for a party of 4 for dinner tonight via OpenTable. Upon arrival at our table, my partner, our friends, and I were greeted by the chef/owner, Michael Latour. Inside, this cozy, inviting, and casual vibe transported us to Paris. Various art pieces and designs were spread throughout two dining rooms. The menu is a culinary journey through flavors and textures. As an appetizer, we opted for the Scallops Rockefeller, Lump Crabmeat Strudel, and Roasted Beet Salad. Our main course featured Apricot-Glazed Duck Breast, Garlic and Mustard-Crusted Lamb Noisette, and Mac and Cheese with Lump Crabmeat Gratinée. Complimentary warm rolls with butter started our meal. Every dish was more impressive than the last. The sauces were perfection. Everything was tastefully delicious, well seasoned, and authentic. The price was comparable to the area. From the ambiance to the cuisine and the service, every aspect was executed with excellence, which we continue to recommend.

CIA students alternate between doing the cooking and doing the serving at the CIA restaurants. Since we went in February, it was $30 each for a three course meal. It's $45 starting in mid April. We started off with freshly baked rolls and artisanal butter which was delicious and they asked us throughout the meal if we wanted more. For my first course I chose the garlic and butter drenched escargot which was deliciously marinated. Then I had the chicken in cream sauce with potato purée. Delicately delicious. And lastly my four layer chocolate in a glass had different chocolate and other flavors at each layer point. Overall a feast for the senses. Our student servers were charming and patient. They answered all our questions about their study. I look forward to trying additional CIA restaurants- they have Italian, New American and more.
