Not usually a French food frequent but wow this place was great! Went on a Thursday, there was live music, a really fab prefix, the French rose was great, the wedge salad had such a great green goddess dressing on it, the lemon tart and chocolate mousse were lovellllyy, mussels were another hit, the inside was warmly decorated, dimly lit, service was fast and friendly, 10/10 recommend!!

The pros are that it has easy parking, the ambiance is really nice, the waiters are friendly, and they have a wide selection of food options. My mocktail was also good and interesting, different. The seafood options looked interesting, but we didn't try them. The shrimp they subbed for my foie gras were very good. The cons are that my husband and I were not impressed with the quality of our red meat. It was too chewy to be good quality, we almost wondered if it was frozen and then cooked. The sauces were also mediocre for a French restaurant. I'd come again to see if the seafood options are better but overall I'm surprised this restaurant has as high of a Yelp rating as it has.

Came here for restaurant week with my bestie. The food was delicious and the customer service was amazing. The chicken with pasta (of course we had to ask for truffle) was out of this world. Highly recommend! The lemon tart was perfection, the crust to custard ratio was spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and would definitely come back to try other menu items!

This spot is the perfect spot to grab a drink and a great appetizer and go on with your night, they always have incredible specials going on which I love coming here for. Overall a local great spot!

Charcuterie board for the guests before appetizers and entree!

just hosted my daughter's communion party last weekend at this wonderful place. Chef Aless was so easy to work with. She was straight forward, professional and made the process stress free. The service and the food were excellent! Would definitely host another event here.

Wow, what a great find! After moving from the city to the south shore, we have struggled with finding a good French restaurant. We finally found it! French chef + the best and friendliest staff! Great for date night, large groups, and families.

Brasserie is a relatively new restaurant in the Massapequa area, off the beaten path of the majority of the restaurants in that town. Don't let the venue fool you! This place is WORTH IT! Chef Aless has truly outdone herself! Every dish was a flavor explosion. The mussels were colossal and incredibly flavorful - a must-try! The hangar steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and simply seasoned. And don't even get me started on the lava cake - pure indulgence. The price point is surprisingly reasonable, especially with their Wednesday price-fix deal. Chef Aless's creativity and experience shine through in every bite. This place is a hidden gem! And this Dining Deal Foodie LOVES that there are different meal deals offered during weekdays--be sure to check them out and tell them I sent you!!!!!!!!!

We all came here last Tuesday night. Our waiter was amazing! He was handling the entire place solo it seemed and never wrote a single thing down. Kept checking on us and brought us more wine when wanted and water without even asking. We got the 2 different types of mussels (the white was amazing) and I got the shrimp and scallops for my main and it was very good! Everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. Would def be back! 5 stars for service!!

Absolutely outstanding experience at Brasserie in Massapequa! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a lively yet relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The food was exceptional -- beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Between the incredible dishes, friendly staff, and cozy yet upscale feel, Brasserie has quickly become one of my favorite spots on Long Island. Whether it's a date night or dinner with friends, this place is a must!

Fantastic new restaurant in Massapequa that features some great French food in a nice casual setting. Came here for happy hour during the week and had a great experience. We sampled a bunch of small plates with the oysters, tuna tartar, and mussels being our favorite. The French onion soup and fries were also delicious. The service was top-notch, and we even got to meet the owner/executive chef Aless. She was super friendly and nice. The wine list featured some great wines, and the bartender was very helpful in choosing the right wine and let us sample a few prior to ordering. Overall, it's a great spot to try.

The entire process was seamless -- the staff was so kind, professional, and communicative throughout every step. The food was delivered with such care and everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. We ordered the shrimp, oregano, penne alla vodka, and the chicken Parmesan, and every single dish was outstanding. My guests could not stop talking about how amazing the food was -- people were genuinely raving about it all day. Mama's helped make such a special occasion even more memorable, and I would absolutely recommend them for any event or catering needs. We will definitely be ordering again!

** THE FOOD WAS GOOD. THE SERVICE WAS ABYSMAL **…read more This is a beautiful restaurant and I wish I could base this review on aesthetics alone. My family and I are still reeling from our experience here this week. The food here is very good. We all agreed. Unfortunately, we also agreed that the "service" was about the worst we can remember having anywhere. Our server was a male, perhaps mid 40s, light hair, little ponytail, not very tall. We did not get his name. Right from the beginning we noticed something seemed off about him. He was rushing, was clearly agitated, aggressive, and rudely interrupted us when we attempted to ask questions. Appetizer salads arrived at our table even before we were finished ordering our dinners (we still had menus) and when we asked him to *please* slow down, that we wanted to enjoy the dinner, he raised his voice and got visibly angry. We saw him walk away, throw up his hands and shake his head, all in plain view of us. His behavior continued throughout our meal and made the entire experience so unpleasant and uncomfortable. When he brought over a bowl of soup, he said, very loud and sarcastically, "There's a spoon there for ya!" Honestly, he seemed so worked up, I was worried he was going to dump the thing in my lap. Dude clearly has issues he brought to work with him. We also noticed this person openly coughing into his hands, rubbing his nose, and then serving food to another table. (We did mention this to another server as that is pretty disgusting.) We were celebrating a birthday and when we came in we asked the host at the door to please put a candle in whatever dessert we ordered. We provided a bag with a candle. Well, we ordered dessert, but the candle was MIA. Nothing, nada. When we left, they gave us back the bag, but the candle was missing. (!) By this point we weren't even surprised. (And they told us the candle had been in the dessert. It definitely wasn't) One star is for the food, the other is for the kind woman with the long dark hair who also tended to our table for the first hour or so. This is clearly a nice restaurant with a good reputation and good food, but sadly, our visit was terrible; a very bad experience and one we wish we could forget.
