2/11/26 - 1st Impression - What a "...clean well lighted place" as Hemmingway wrote in 1933. 2nd Impression - beautiful brick building annex to the WaFd Bank on Wenatchee Ave...how convenient! The Sausage Cheddar Sandwich with egg and peppers on rosemary bread was delicious and oh so rich and filling--half for breakfast, half for lunch. Even with reduced hours Sage Hills is even more busy--not their first rodeo--they began 18 years ago on Spring Street, then moved to this luxurious site six years ago. Beyond sandwiches, I found quiche, biscuits, and gravy, fruit and yogurt, and steel cut oatmeal. This pretty much rounds out anything you'd want for breakfast or lunch. I'm not usually one to leave a review but occasionally I feel the call for it, this is one of those instances. We enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the items that we spent our money on. We chose a two person table to enjoy the products we purchased, my husband got out his laptop to take care of one thing for work, and we could not possibly have been there for more than 45 minutes? Irregardless of that, we were asked to leave by someone I assume to be the owner based on other bad reviews. She said "We have a sign that says we don't support long-term working here and seating is getting a little tight so I'm gonna have to ask you guys to pack it up." As previously stated we could not have been there for more than 45-ish minutes and there were actively several open seating areas, I counted 13 open chairs immediately following the interaction. I would understand this reaction from the owner had we come in, not spent any money, and been sitting there all day.. that was just simply not the case. We came from out of town for the day for work but I guess we won't be back to Sage Hills Bakery. read more

Food is good but honestly it's pretty expensive for the portion size you are getting but seeing as this is a small business (probably paying workers really well) I guess the prices are pretty reasonable. I think I spent over $23 on 2 items not including tip? That being said I wasn't very impressed with the food that I got. The lemon bar was pretty decent but also nothing to rave about. But taste is subjective just nothing I was very crazy about! Not a spot you can go to everyday (unless you can afford it but more power to you!!) read more

Visiting from Ohio--we decided to stop at this bakery for some breakfast. We got there "late", it was about 11am, so they were out of their biscuits already. I ordered the RBF biscuit and they offered it to me with the rosemary toast. Man ordered the Monster biscuit, which was also offered with the rosemary toast. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Yum! Is the definition of this place. I had breakfast at this bakery during my visit to Wenatchee. It was my favorite places that I visited during my stay, not just because they make a mean biscuit breakfast sandwich, but also for their friendly welcoming service. The monster biscuit came with a host of ingredients including and egg, ham, bacon, tomatoes, peppers, Tillamook Cheddar Cheese, all served onto a freshly baked buttermilk biscuit slathered with an herb cream cheese for only $6.95. It was a messy yet delicious hand held. The biscuit was heavenly. It was buttery and soft with a light exterior crust via baking. It broke apart a little when I dig into it, but that was okay. The egg was cooked nicely, the bacon was terrifically crispy and a little chewy, the ham savory with a good salt level, the tomato fresh, she cheddar melted, and the herb cream cheese rocked the house. I can't say enough on how delicious this breakfast sandwich was. It's a king. The bakery offers a melee of wonderful baked goods, additional breakfast items, lunch sandwiches, and salads. The local coffee they serve is quite good too! This place is worth the stop when in Wenatchee! By the way, their scones are top notch too. read more

I ordered a biscuit (one) and gravy (8 oz portion) to go, with the intent to dress it up at home with some eggs. I received exactly what I asked for, but I just about hit the floor at the price. $10.50 for one, average size, biscuit and a cup of rather thin gravy. It's something I would pay five bucks for, but not ten. I will definitely not go back for that. I do like their baked goods but I am no longer willing to pay those prices. read more

The food is divine! Everything is made daily, the scones are amazing, the breakfast sandwiches are filling and delicious. They also make great coffee! This is my go to spot for a bite to eat after a night shift working at a hospital and they never disappoint. The staff is lovely and I get some of the best service, even when they are busy. It is a small space for eating in, as the majority of the space is dedicated to baking, but it is functional. The Decor is quite pretty with the outside wall having windows that take up most of the wall space and I love the color on the walls, it feels like a peaceful color. read more

I absolutely love Sage Hills Bakery's breakfast sandwiches. They put a sort of sweet and savory mustard on their homemade biscuits with perfectly cooked bacon egg and cheese and they are truly fabulous. The cinnamon roll had grainy sugar and was hard to eat it was so overly sweet. I feel like it was not made correctly and the sugar wasn't dissolved correctly. I have yet to try their strata but it looks good. They're coffee is not very good and weak & also wayyy too hot the times I've gone so you can't drink it for at least half an hour. Lines can be long. Interior is cute but not a ton of tables. Family friendly. read more

Attached to the WaFd Bank, this gem of a breakfast bakery coffee shop is filled with delectable breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. The owner is on site creating the breads, scones, rolls, cookies, brownies, etc. daily. The staff is exuberant yet peaceful. I had the CSW. It presents as a panini on thinly sliced rosemary bread with egg, black beans, cheese, peppers, spinach and tomato. Eat and repeat! On the drink specials was one I've not seen elsewhere: a blackberry mocha latte. The fruity chocolate caffeine combo is smooth and warming. Stop by soon, often and say hello to a great local crew while you pick up to indulge in some of the best bites and sips. read more

Discovered this place this month, and have been there twice. Gotta say, I like the coffee, the service and the bakery items. I order the iced americano with 2 pumps white chocolate mocha sauce, since they don't have the powder. The coffee is smooth and strong, the way I like it. I ask to leave room for cream, and I can add it to my liking. They have a display case full of scones, biscuits, cinnamon rolls and muffins. They all look delicious, but I have only tried the ham and cheddar scones, and they do not disappoint! The best way to describe the scones are dense and hearty with flavor. I feel like I had a breakfast sandwich when I order the ham and cheddar scones, they are so good. They offer a few breakfast items and a select lunch menu. Looking forward to trying more from them, and would recommend this place for a coffee drink, too! read more

Prices are a little higher, but that should be expected due to the high quality food you are purchasing and are within reason. The people helping at the counter were friendly and helpful. I have come to classify bakeries in two categories: bakeries that use whole grains and bakeries that don't. There are quality bakeries in both categories, it's just that I'm careful about spending too much time in bakeries that don't use whole grains. They are generally aiming for the most delicious food you can make. Fat and sugar are not a problem. Whole grain bakeries, on the other hand, produce breads and pastries that can be eaten every day or every other day. They make breads that are crunchy and break apart when bent because there is not much squishiness or malleability in an oats or rye flour. Over the years my taste buds have been conditioned to prefer grainy over white flour. Therefore, I preface my review by saying that maybe I am not the true intended audience for Sage Hills Bakery. Sage Hills seems to be all in on white flour treats, which were decent. We ordered one of their ham and cheddar stratas, a mixture of chopped white bread, ham, and cheddar, a scone and a lemon bar. The lemon bar was the winner. Interestingly, the lemon bar, something that should be the unhealthiest item because they are generally filled with too much sugar, delicately balanced the ledge between sour and sweet. Turkey Jam sandwich is an absolute favorite! Cinnamon rolls, scones, brownies, cookies & breakfast sandwiches too. Coffees are very good as well. Try the Maple Cinnamon Iced Latte! Absolutely delicious!! The only drawback is the reduced hours they are open. They close at noon. read more

Arrived in Wenatchee at the tail end of morning in search of some nourishment. After making the long trek I wanted something quick and easy, and came across this place via Yelp, and it was close to my final destination. I circled the block three times, FYI, it's attached to I believe a credit union or bank, kind of tricky and easy to miss. There were no customers and 4 staff inside. I opted for an iced mocha, and remembered I needed food and chose an egg and sausage sandwich in a fresh biscuit, and got a blueberry peach scone and a brownie to go. The iced coffee was delicious, just the perfect amount of sweet, usually they're far too sweet. What I was most delightfully surprised by was the sandwich. A huge, hearty sandwich of a freshly scrambled/folded egg, sausage patty, I believe some type of cream cheese and a sweet red bell pepper topping....so so so good. I opted for the biscuit, so buttery and moist, a little flaky, reminded me of a good southern biscuit. It had that melt in your mouth texture with a little bit of a crisp top. The sausage and egg were cooked perfectly and the red pepper added this wonderful tangy and sweet kick, which balanced the richness of the biscuit and sausage. I also liked that it wasn't at all salty, which I sometimes find with sausage breakfast sandwiches. It was so good, and I will gladly detour here again to have one! The scone was delicious as well, great texture and flavor. Hubby had the brownie, and I haven't had a chance to steal a bite, but it looks delicious.
