Well this is my favourite kebab place. They make great kebabs and breads. Their meat is always fresh and tasty. I usually order ground beef kebab that comes with choice of rice or bread. I'm not really fond of rice in most restaurants - I'm very picky with rice selection so I go with their fresh Turkish bread. It's handmade, soft, fresh and filling. Not to mention it's made on the premises. These guys distribute their bread to tens of businesses in the lower mainland. Only problem with this Iranian restaurant would be the language barrier. You must be clear with your order to make sure they get it right. For example they forgot my kebab plate today so I had to remind them. Another thing, they usually carry breakfast cream which you won't find elsewhere. It's so good, creamy and fresh. They have ayran, shallot yoghurt and some beverages on their fridge as well. It's a bummer to have to write a negative review about a business who seems to provide decent quality food. The encounter I had this morning with a delivery driver was beyond comprehension. Calling me a f****** idiot while I'm trying to shop in a store he was making a delivery. The man was blocking the products while texting and paying no mind to his surroundings but proceeded to lose it on me for not respecting social distancing. The rude comments were completely unnecessary but on top of that being berated and sworn at is beyond me. Safe to say no one in my circle/ family will be supporting such a business. ** edit, sad to say that my family speaks so highly of the older gentlemen who seems to own the business but it's beyond me how one can employ such a disrespectful and rude individual. Amazing food and family business. Best kebab I ever had. The couple running the business are old couple who are immigrants, so sometimes they make mistakes with punching in but they fix it right away. They treat everyone like family. It makes me proud to see an immigrant couple at that age running a business even though I am sure English being their second language they have their challenges. They are probably in their retirement age but work extremely hard. I would highly recommend this place. read more

We were hungry so we decided to try this place again after a few years. First, it is Wayyyyy overpriced. The kubideh wraps and chicken wraps are way over priced. Generally a wrap with kubideh or chicken go for 8.99-9.99 these were 13.99 and when you break the ingredients down it was 1.5$ of sangak and 1 skewers and some lettuce. In north van this would be 8$ maybe 9$ Next the cleanliness. 3 people rotated cooking and handling our food, none of them washed their hands, none had masks, multiple high touch surfaces were touched and our food was placed open on those surfaces like Tupperware and countertops. One disposable glove was put on to handle the lettuce which had been chopped by bare hands in the first place. My wife's comment " why would someone open a restaurant if they can't even cook. There's no flavour" Pre Covid, we were willing to overlook cleanliness issues. With Covid, they should up their cleanliness game. My mom placed an order for 11 orders of koobideh and 1 joojeh over the phone. When she got there to pick up, she paid by CC. Since she's not familiar with the tip option using the machine, she didn't leave any tip. The owner (lady) looked at her receipt and "demanded" at least $5 tip. My mom explained her reason for not leaving any tips. The lady then asked for cash. So my mom had to go back to the car and get cash. She brought the food home and 2 of the orders were missing their BBQ tomatoes, there was also no somagh or utensils. I called to talk to the lady. and when I told her that if she demands tips then she should at least check for the order accuracy and that what she did was not only embarrassing to my mom in front of other customers but also not a good business practice, she first offered to bring the tip $$ back to us, then when I asked her to do that and to bring the tomatoes with it, she hung up the phone on me The owner is extremely rude and the food was just ok I prefer the other Persian restaurants in Coquitlam read more

These guys are crooks! They will never give you a proper receipt even with credit card payments. They also collect too much tax and probably keep that tax as a profit. They are tax evaders and criminals. Furthermore, they also have crappy service. It has happened twice now that I came in, placed my order, was told it would be 10 mins, came back in 5 mins, and discovered these guys gave my order to someone else. I once had to wait 30 minutes because they did this twice in a row to me. No apology and in fact they ripped me off with their tax scam too. Stay away. read more

These people are very disorganized and unprofessional. We ordered our dinner 3 hours earlier, and told them we will pick up our meal at a certain time. They agreed so off we go to pick up our dinner and meal of 10 people only to arrive and the rice was not even cooked. Here we are, guests waiting for dinner at our home, and they start to cook the rice right then and there. I think they work on their own planet. The beef kabobs were alright. ( nothing like "Shiraz" in Langley which is thee BEST!) and the rice was very good, especially since it was cooked fresh right in front of us! Kebob is ok but the service is a joke. It's like going back in time 30 years in Middle East. Owner doesn't speak English, wife doesn't either. Very dirty. If you don't pay attention owner always ALWAYS charge 0.50 to a $1 extra per item. When you ask why, he makes some stupid excuse that doesn't make senses and continues to over charge you. We've passed by this place several times because we've eaten in at nearby restaurants, but today was the first time we actually tried it...and I'm so glad we did! They serve freshly baked naan (which is also packaged to go for only $2.50), and the kebabs are made to order. We got one chicken kebab wrap and one chicken kebab rice platter - both were delicious. The chicken was super tender and flavourful. I'm guessing it was the owner who served us. Very nice man! He even offered to give us an extra roasted tomato (though I said No thanks since I don't eat tomatoes) and threw in some lettuce for my rice platter, as it usually doesn't come with any veggies. Next time I'd love to try their chicken shawarma but the broiler wasn't working today. Minus 1 star for the ambiance...super crammed seating and doesn't feel the cleanest, but we were pleased with the service and thoroughly enjoyed our dishes! read more

LOVEEE eating their fresh grilled beef kabobs (koobideh) and juicy chicken skewers (joojeh) served with your choice of bread or rice. And that soft whole juicy tomato! Seriously the best. Favourite restaurant in the area for fresh grilled food. It's a little gem of a place! If the people running the place don't seem too smiley or chatty, I wouldn't be thrown off by that - their food speaks for itself. Kind of a small place for dine in, I believe they could seat about 6 people comfortably casually inside, more of a take out place. Unfortunately I have to give a 1/10 for their customer service. They could take over Persian food market in Coquitlam if they could fix their customer service issue. Despite enjoying a KOOBIDEH WRAP, the low rating is from after being overcharged by 20% approximately without proper clarifications. When paying, the cashier casually inputted $9.50 on the card terminal. I asked if the $9.50 charge was due to an extra charge added for BBQ'd tomatoes that I ordered. Cashier simply told me to press enter on the terminal and then tap. Would absolutely not return and highly advise everyone to not do business with them. read more

Have been to this place a couple of times for lunch and I am really impressed. They freshly cook your food in front of you. They have excellent nan bread that they make your sandwich, wrap or donair on. They are a specialty bakery as well and are always open. read more
