We had a friendly and efficient waiter, who helped explain the menu a bit as it was our first visit. The menu is pan-asian, but I thought leaned heavily into Japanese dishes. So many dumpling and Bao dishes, I was tempted to just have those, but also wanted to try a noodle dish. Xiao Long Bao and soup dumplings were delicious, and I absolutely want to return to work deeper into the dumplings here. For the noodle dish, we opted for Seafood Maloney, which was an assortment of seafood with glass noodles. This dish wasn't my favorite, had a fair amount of shrimp, but not much else, and wasn't a flavor that I loved. Next time, will try a more traditional noodle dish. This looks like a "family run" restaurant, and I would recommend a stop when in Dover NH

The staff was so friendly and kind, it was a rain storm outside and they let us stay inside until it was over; so that was very greatly appreciated. It was a very homey, kind of, neighborhood spot. Very comfy and cozy and it feels like your friends are running the business and you can just have a casual conversation with the staff and even other patrons. Even though it was my first time there. I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my recent dining experience this restaurant restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations, and I feel compelled to share my concerns and dissatisfaction. The quality of the food I received was far from satisfactory. The excessive use of oil in the dishes made them overly greasy and unappetizing. Additionally, the portion sizes were disappointingly small, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and hungry while paying high prices. One particularly disappointing incident occurred with the rice noodles in the pho dish, which was not properly cooked. This oversight greatly impacted the overall taste and made the dish unenjoyable. Moreover, the attitude displayed by the owner, Jeanie, was incredibly disheartening. When I kindly expressed my concerns and dissatisfaction, Jeanie showed a complete disregard for her customers. She was rude and dismissive, with an apparent lack of care or interest in resolving the issue. It is disheartening to see such an unprofessional and disrespectful attitude towards patrons who simply wanted to have a pleasant dining experience. As a customer, I believe constructive feedback is essential for the improvement of any establishment. It is regrettable that instead of valuing customer feedback and working towards rectifying any shortcomings, Jeanie's response was to brush off complaints and adopt an unfriendly demeanor. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Saigon Tokyo to others. The combination of subpar food quality, small portions, and poor customer service is not conducive to a positive dining experience. First time here, we're from out of town just looking for some Comfort food. We saw Saigon Tokyo give it a try seeing they have everything we were looking for. They are Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant. Well everything in one menu don't alway mean everything will be good. What we order was ok, very typical food nothing special or excellent about it. Everything we order was ok, fine with us for something out of town. The reason why I write this review is because of the server, I don't know is she also the owner of the place. At first she wasn't that nice serving us. She was rushing us. But whatever that's fine. Middle of our lunch she asked us if we want something to drinks, I told her I'll try their Vietnamese coffee. I am a Vietnamese person I should know exactly how my coffee would taste. But their coffees was weird, there lots of powdery mix in there. So much powder that we couldn't drink it. When I told my server instead of changing for us or just take it back, she throw it in the trash right in font of us siting there, then she say, " I have been here 5 year no one complaint about my coffee". My and my husband look at each other and didn't even know what to respond back. How Rude!!!! She had so much bad attitude. We should of know from the beginning since she was taking our order, we should of know, she didn't help Advising us what's good but instead she was like, " oh I can't stand here forever wait for you to decide so I need to move on," lord!!! Saigon & Tokyo Restaurant in Dover. Kevin and Jenny have opened a wonderful restaurant in Dover with Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese sections of a very extensive menu with something for every taste. The prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent. The real standout is the authentic vietnamese cuisine, this alone should keep you coming back time and again. Do have a Vietnamese dish - Start with Pho - a Vietnamese noodle soup with chicken, shrimp vegetable or beef or all of the above with a delicious broth and a side dish of fresh basil, lime wedges mung bean sprouts and extra hot little red peppers that you can add to your liking. Reasonably priced and you will be hard pressed to finish it. That alone will be a filling meal to remember. That's where I went wrong. I had the excellent duck salad from the vietnamse menu (luckily I got the small which was still plenty for two), a red dragon sushi roll - I have followed Kevin from several other restaurants for his excellent sushi - the the vietnamese spring roll (not fried) all of which were excellent. Every dish sparkles with the freshness of their ingredients. His new restaurant is a jewel of the Seacoast, it is easy to find it you know where Planet Fitness and Subway are in Dover. Skip that $5 Sub at Subway go around the other side of the building and have a great meal for a few bucks more. read more

The upside was the food- quality, price and portions. I live in California and we do not have good Chinese food so when I come home I look forward to it. My friend and I got an appetizer plate so we had a variety and got to try a little bit of everything. We sat at the bar which was fine, the place was packed. If you're looking for a seat a little more intimate with better service I might sit at a table. The waitress was understandably busy, but she was also kind of rude. I've worked in restaurants and I know enough to be nice, smile and friendly especially when you're busy- no one can get that mad if you're being polite, right? Anyways, I am giving them a four star because I know it's a good place, I just think they had an off-night. Maybe just order to-go, that way you can get the combination plates that are normally only available during lunch. read more

I love saigon they have amazing service and the mai tais are amazing the food is amazing I haven't had a single thing on the menu that I didn't like they've also recently added a new servers like Cindy she's all smiles all the time im a regular and she already knows my order and i thi k she o ly been there about a month which is really convient and thoughtful she's very polite as is the rest of the staff I really love the phone guy Lawrence pretty much everybody here is amazing Jenny really runs a tight ship here but she knows what she's doing and I really appreciate her and the rest of the staff at Saigon Tokyo it make the whole thing a great experience and I can really appreciate the authentic music and atmosphere they provide the only thing I can hope for is they get a bigger space. Where do I start. I had to go out back to order talking to the owner Jenny and through the kitchen walkway you can see none of the cooks using gloves. I caught the older gentleman packing our food picking his nose. All you hear is the owner Jenny yelling at her employees. The floors are disgusting, the whole building is to be honest. You can tell there is no hygiene here. Also the customer before me, the host messed up and the owner Jenny came running over saying to her employee that if he messes up he must pay for it! This is absurd and I think illegal,as I haven't seen this kid here until now so clearly he is new. I feel bad for whoever eats her infected food and her poor employees who deal with her. I'm sorry but everyone speaks so highly of Jenny but I believe her workers have a different view. read more

All great. Simple drink menu, good choices with food pairings. A variation of bubble tea/shakes. Wife and I frequently dine here, biweekly. Very good price point. Cindy has been my server twice in a row now and i have to say she has been one of the most pleasant servers at any restaurant ive been to in a long time.
