Good food, horrible owner. Always have food delivered. We actually used to spend hundreds of dollars every christmas. A month ago i ordered one sushi roll and soup for delievery. 2.5 hrs later the soup was cold and the sushi roll was wrong so we called to let them know. Since then the owner, jenny will not deliver to our house. Shes rude, and quite frankly the restaurant has become quite busy that she doesnt care about her loyal customers. NEVER AGAIN. I have been coming here for years and I am not sure what has happened to thus place but my meal was absolutely terrible. I could not finish part of it. The boneless spare ribs were really dry and it was like eating pieces of wood...hard and dry. The rice was eh ok and the steak teriyaki were so fatty and not one bit if my meal was nearly what it used to be. I'm surprised they're still in business if this what they are serving on a regular basis. Unfortunately I came here because there aren't any Chinese restaurants close by where I live. No doubt about it, Saigon & Tokyo is the best in the area for Asian Cuisine. It is a little on the small side and there isn't a lot of parking but don't let that stop you from checking this place out! We eat here all the time and we always try something new. Me being a lover of Pho, this time we got Pho Ga which was outstanding. Great flavor and generous portion size. We also got the sushi special. It came with miso soup, tuna roll, and six piece of assorted sushi which consisted of shrimp sushi, 2 salmon rolls, and 2 Alaska rolls. Everything was prepared fresh and tasted fantastic. We also tried the kiwi Boba tea and it was so good. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Haven't had 1 bad experience here ever, which keeps us coming back. It is usually very busy from 11:30am to about 1:30pm and then again at from about 6pm on. They also deliver to Dover and Somersworth. read more

You will likely have a long wait here if you go during peak hours. (Get there before 5:30 or after 7:30 to avoid this!) It is worth it! The food is amazing. On a Friday night, it feels like half of Dover comes through the doors (most for takeout). Their sushi is delicious and beautifully presented. (Try the spicy California Tempura roll!) The prices are reasonable. They have a wide variety of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes as well. Everything we've ordered here has been wonderful. Two caveats: 1. The Mai Tais are very strong. I like a strong drink but I have stopped ordering them because the last time I had one, I felt dizzy afterwards. 2. There is no waiting room, so be prepared to wait outside or in a very crowded space with wait staff dashing through all the time (or just go early or late). They need a bigger space! read more

This place is legit! I got the phò with eye round steak and sesame chicken to take home for tomorrow. I couldn't decide if I wanted Thai/Vietnamese or Chinese, so I got these two items. The phò is authentic with a little fattier of broth than I'm used to but that's ok! It made the soup have more flavor. Good thing is that I didn't get that filmy residue in my mouth after I ate it. The sesame chicken is SOOOO GOOD!!! The sauce isn't too sweet or too tangy and they don't douse the plate in sauce. It's just right. Overall, we will come back as they even offer sushi and I'd love to try a roll or two for date night! read more

Talk about looks being deceiving. Here is a place that's a diamond in the rough. It does have an extensive menu, and a bit pricy for some items, but it's made up for it with the flavors and the portions. If your looking for something new, give this place a try. By far my favorite restaurant in the area. I have been going here for years, but just now leaving my first review. The value is incredible. Huge portions (especially with lunch plates) and at a price I almost feel guilty in paying. I'm not one to switch it up, so pretty much always the same number 9 or 15. Teriyaki is huge. Both chicken and beef. Absolutely nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. During these times of Covid, if I could choose only one place to support, Saigon would be that place. I LOVE VIETNAMESE FRESH ROLLS. Like Fried Spring ROLLS, but not exactly. Traditionally filled with julienne vegetables: Julienne carrots, sliced fresh mint leaves, fresh bean sprouts, sliced lettuce. Simple mix of vegetables, sometimes sliced, fried tofu & other fresh ingredients. Then, the whole sliced bundle is rolled into a softened RICE PAPER roll up & served COLD! DELICIOUS! fresh and healthy. I have ordered Fresh Rolls, here twice. The ingredients are never COLD, as they should be. The rolls should be well stuffed, but not excessively, and they were not. The dipping sauce is nice, here, but not enough from those tiny, little plastic cups. Spring Rolls are my most favorite item on their menu, I just wish they did a better job making them. Rest of the food, is ok. Nothing, impressive. read more

I really like some of the foods served here but not everything is stellar. For instance, I love their pho and teriyaki beef. The good: The pho broth is delicious and it's never a miss here. My kids love the teriyaki beef because each skewer is generously cut and well seasoned. The mi bo kho (beef with carrots, potatoes, onions with Chinese seasonings) is also really good. The beef is tender and the broth is full-bodied. A good broth is essential to soupy noodles! The not so good: There are other items on the menu that I don't like as much, such as their general tso's chicken. The sauce is tasty but the chicken is tough somehow. The shrimp tempura was a bit disappointing for lunch. I got 2 shrimp with vegetables--but the vegetables were mostly carrots and sweet potato with 1 skimpy green bean. From all the other places I've eaten, I expected some more variety when in terms of the vegetables. The bad: The wait staff--probably the owners--could use a bit of help with providing better service. After all, I'm their to spend our money, I don't want to get attitude with my food. There are lots to choose from on their menu. I'll be going back and trying other things. read more

After finishing a job in the area, I decided to get lunch takeout at Saigon & Tokyo while my coworker went to Dunkin' Donuts next door. This cozy Asian restaurant offers takeout & delivery service and a full service dining room, offering Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese cuisines including a good variety of pho soups, noodle & rice dishes, and sushi. However, I decided to order off the Chinese section of the menu on this visit since my coworker was only getting coffee and a sandwich at DD and wanted to get back on the road to Concord. I ordered L16 Roast Pork Rice Noodles & Egg Roll ($6.95) served with Pork Fried Rice for takeout and took a seat next to the counter. My food was hot & ready to go in about 7 minutes, good timing! I enjoyed my hot lunch back at the office, which was a good portion sized portion of carbs. The rice noodle dish had plenty of tender roast pork strips, carrots, cabbage, & onions tossed in soft cooked thin rice noodles. The pork fried rice (light brown color) had a soft texture with ground pork (red dyed), onion, egg, & scallion. The egg roll was wide filled with ground pork cabbage, celery, & seasoning. The food was very good, enough for lunch and a light dinner. I will definitely have to return to Saigon & Tokyo on my day off so I can dine-in and order from the Vietnamese section of the menu. read more

I'm updating my review. I've been a customer here for 10+ years. I went there today for take out. The woman upfront was a complete asshole. They put an extra order of chicken on my bill and in my bag. When I told her, she removed one from the bag and THREW IT ON THE FLOOR... then she tells me to read the menu better before I order next time. Unfortunately there will not be a next time. I used to love this place but unfortunately the quality has gone down. I got lo mein today and by the time I drove 10 minutes back to work the entire paper bag was completely soaked through with sauce leaving a huge puddle of sauce on the seat of my car. This place is excellent. I recently had the vermicelli noodles with pork and jumbo shrimp (I think item #47) and was very satisfied. This was mainly due to the high quality preparation of the pork. I think I love you... The Pho here is excellent. The food is fresh, hot and comes out fast. It's a fusion menu (Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese) but I come for the Vietnamese Pho and fresh spring rolls... The inside is small and it is often busy, but the turn over is fast. The bubble tea is delicious and the selection of choices is huge (smoothy type drink with tapioca pea sized pearls). Very authentic in taste. read more

I can not believe how rude and inconsiderate the female owner was! We are here from out of state. We called in an order to pick up. When I arrived I noticed that there was an up charge because I requested garlic sauce instead of the ginger sauce my dish came with. On the phone the woman told me this was not a problem. But she NEVER mentioned it costing extra. When I brought this to her attention, she got an attitude and told me that it is my fault because I didn't ask! What?? Why would I ask? How would I know to ask such a thing? It would have taken her two seconds to tell me. Where we come from, business owners want customers to be happy. I expected her to take the charge off.
