I was visiting Dover to go see family and I stopped by this quaint little place right next to my hotel and it was amazing. I had never gotten to try Thai food before and it was a great introduction. The dipping sauces are literally to die for and I know that's a weird thing to obsess over, but they were sooooo good. The staff was so friendly and kind, it was a rain storm outside and they let us stay inside until it was over; so that was very greatly appreciated. It was a very homey, kind of, neighborhood spot. Very comfy and cozy and it feels like your friends are running the business and you can just have a casual conversation with the staff and even other patrons. Even though it was my first time there. I hundred percent recommend it because the food was really good and I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff was very kind and welcoming. read more

Historically I have not been a fan of Thai food. A friend asked me to go here so we did. It was pretty good. We got a couple of apps-the dumplings were the best ones. Spring rolls did not excite me. She got a soup and Satay. I got some broccoli and chicken. All tasted good Waitress was kind and didn't rush us. There was one other table at any given time. So very quiet in there. My husband and I went here for the first time tonight. We thought the food was about a 3 1/2 overall. We weren't crazy about the Fresh Rolls or peanut sauce, but it's one of our favorite appetizers and so we thought we would try it. I got a Thai tea, which I normally love, but left some in the glass and was pretty much making myself drink it. It just was not one of the most favorite ones I'd ever had. My husband got Pad Thai and he said he would give it about a three. Honestly, I was kind of surprised because they brought his out without mine and we had to sit there for 5 to 10 minutes for them to bring me mine, therefore, his had pretty much cooled down by the time I got my dinner. I don't know that I've ever really had that happen at a restaurant for that length of time and I was really kind of shocked. There were several people picking up their orders, and they were taken care of, but I'm not quite sure why we weren't brought our dinners at the same time or shortly apart. There was no explanation or apology for the different delivery times, and my husband's dinner cooled down while waiting on my plate to get there. Overall, it wasn't that great of an experience, but it wasn't horrible. We were just glad to be out together and hoped to have some really good Thai food. Perfectly balanced sweetness to go with the salty Rangoon. We also got golden bag and they were great! I've never had them before but they were lit. Both of us got pad Thai. I got spicy 1 and he got spicy 2. Id reccomend 1 if you enjoy spice but mostly the flavor, I'd recommend 2 if you want to get your nasal passage cleared. Love this place! Hands down the best Thai restaurant in NH that I've been to. Compared to all restaurants they have the #1 crab rangoons. the crab rangoons are bit-sized, crisp and light with the perfect wrapping/filling ratio. Their lunch specials usually include some crab rangoons on the side ( I believe 2 or 3). My go-to is the pineapple fried rice with chicken but you can sub the chicken for beef, fried chicken, tofu, veggies, or duck. Tastes even better if you sprinkle some of the sweet and sour sauce over the rice (their sauce is the bomb! This is also the sauce that comes with the crab rangoons) Go the combo appetizer plate. Comes with a variety of fried apps and a good amount of crab rangoons (6). Also came with fried egg rolls, golden bags, dumplings, shrimp rolls. All of it was great. Atmosphere is casual and the restaurant itself is small and cozy. Service was good. There is usually only one server working and they get a lot of takeout orders. This place closes between 3-4 pm so make sure you get your order in before or after that time. Overall this place never disappoints! read more

Horrible sanitary precautions. Host was handling cash then in the kitchen putting food in containers without washing or gloves, then sampling the food that was being sent out with customer orders. We stopped in here for dinner one evening during our stay in Dover, NH. We were the only folks dining in when we first walked in, although that quickly changed as suddenly a number of other parties appeared. I opted for my usual trio of dishes when trying a new Thai place: Som Tum, Tom Yum, and Kee Mao Kai (also known as Pad Kee Mao, Drunken Noodles, etc.) They call their version of this dish "Crazy Noodles." They offer a spice level system - with a four being the max spice level and one being the least spicy. I opted for a two on the Som Tum, a three on the Tom Yum and a 4 - max spice level on the Crazy Noodles. And water to drink. The Tom Yum was brought out first - and man was it ever spicy and delicious! Wow! What a great broth! It looked radioactive! :-) Next, the Som Tum and Crazy Noodles were brought out together. My coworker ordered the Tom Yum soup and the Crazy Noodles as well - also at the max spice level. He also ordered their fried spring rolls. Our server seemed at first a little concerned that we wanted the Crazy Noodles at max spice level - but we both assured her this is a way of life for us. Which appeared to assuage her concerns. Of course, we demolished everything they put in front of us food-wise! The Som Tum was fresh and crisp with a wonderfully zesty and zippy spicy lime dressing and the Crazy Noodles were crazy spicy. My one ding here would be that some of the noodles were clumped together and therefore lacked the desired tenderness of the noodles - and that also means that some of the sauce did not get to saturate those noodles as they were clumped together. Thai food is usually fresh, but this spot was VERY FRESH. The appetizer combo had a few apps that I hadn't tried before including the golden bags, which were fantastic. Crab rangoons were very creamy and had a great crisp. Fried pork dumplings were some of the best I have had. Just ate at Khaophum's for the first time ever and I am pretty blown away... It's so relieving to find a really good, tasty Asian restaurant in the area! My husband and I have lived near this restaurant numerous times during our twelve years together but had never gone here as he absolutely does not like any Asian food that tastes like fish, and we'd had bad experiences at a few Thai places already (as in, he couldn't even stomach the food because it was overwhelmingly fishy). We took a risk on Khaophum's after reading the rave reviews on Yelp and are so happy we did! We ordered the chicken satay, veggie rolls, crab rangoon, crazy noodles (1 star) and sticky rice. Everything, and I do mean EVERYthing, was beyond delicious. Not sure how you can make something like sticky rice so good, but it really was! You can tell that (as another reviewer mentioned) they use above-par ingredients, and nothing is greasy, even the fried foods. Crazy noodles were definitely spicy enough for me (and I'm no spice wuss) at one star, so I'd caution not to go any higher your first time eating here if you're not used to incredible spice. The satay was delicious, seasoned perfectly and the peanut sauce was to die for. Nothing tasted too fishy at all. I think we've found our new go-to for Asian takeout... Seriously great! read more

These are the best rangoons I've had anywhere. They are small, savory, and packed with flavor. Not a lot of excess wonton either. These are efficient little flavor bombs. Been meaning to review this place for a long time. Khaophums is the best Thai restaurant in New England, hands down. Start with their crab rangoons and Tom Yum soup, the best I've ever had and I've had alot. Next order one of their curries and the pineapple fried rice. Their's is particularly good. The pad thai is good but their star dish is the crazy noodles. (their name for drunken noodles ) It's crazy good! I will drive an hour for their crazy noodles! The food tends to run a little spicy so ask for 1 chili if you don't like too much heat. I hope that Kaophums never goes away. read more

A huge breath of fresh air after many disappointing attempts to find decent food (especially Asian cuisine) in the area having moved from Portland to Berwick. This place stands out and could compete the the best of Thai restaurants out there. This might be the best Thai I've ever had, after the second time doing business there hopefully I'll know for sure! Unless there was some miscommunication with the lady on the phone, this place has a different spice-rating "star" system than most Thai restaurants, with a 3-star scale instead of 5. CAUTION! I order 2-star Pad Thai and it was by far the most spicy meal I've ever consumed! I enjoyed it thoroughly but I certainly struggled through the affair.
