I think they're a good Thai restaurant, but I just don't like their take on it. Too sweet. I'm a salty/ hot person , and their interpretation seems to reflect the sweet end of the Thai spectrum , which is enormous. I have friends who like the establishment , just not my thing. read more

I'm operating in a vacuum here because I'm no Thai food guru. I am what I am. But ignorance notwithstanding, I really liked the Pad Thai. Nice sauce, plenty of chicken and shrimp, the egg, the veggies. What can I say? I thought it was very good. So, I've never been to Bangkok, but isn't it enough that the food tasted great and the service was fast and friendly? THE FOOD AND SERVICE WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We loved the appetizer platter. We ended up ordering more crab Rangoon because they were out of this world. We both got pho and a mango sticky rice dessert that was recommended to us by our server! It was different but we loved it. We finished with two drinks that were also recommended to us by our server, the sticky rice drink and thai fizz. I've only gotten takeout here, but the food is excellent! The staff are super friendly and the service is excellent.

I love their food so much! They are the first restaurant that I ordered take out from when moving to this area. They're always very polite. I feel that they are better for takeout than they are for dining in. I dined in once and I felt that the table set us, interior design and plating felt a bit fancy. Their music clashed with the appearance of the place. Late 2000s song Party In The USA was playing and it was awkward. I honestly love this place so much. Considering that the place had these many high ratings, I had high hopes. It's meh at the best. The service was honestly okay, except for that when I asked for chili paste, the server just kept the container in front of us and left without even checking that it was empty. The food was just a waste. Drunken noodles was icky sweet...any chili paste or sauce could not rescue it. And the confusion started because their menu used a different spice-scale than what the servers recorded. Menu had a 3-level spice scale and I asked for 'fire'. Sometimes food is great her and other times not so good. Hit or miss most times. I have enjoyed their wonderful food at a different location when it was very, very good. They certainly don't need my review! This place is incredible. We live down the street and we always forget about it. Which is a shame. The fresh rolls are so fresh and tasty. The chili oil they have on the tables is KILLER and makes anything pop with such a nice kick and heat. (We asked for a little container and they obliged) dining room is cute and clean. Pad Thai is easily the best around. Mango curry is mouthwatering. The staff is so sweet and lovely to chat with. We popped in at 4 on a Saturday and we were the only ones there. Not for long. I would actually rate 4.5 if I could. A hidden gem. The food here is spectacularly fresh, consistent and seemingly made fresh each order. The standard of quality is high with lovely vegetables, quality protein and generous servings. I'm a bit of a noodle snob, and these are the best wide noodles in the area that I've had. Thai iced tea is lovely, not sicky sweet like it can be other places. Fresh spring rolls, dumplings and noodles are highly recommended. The restaurant is small, and ambiance could be better, but the food makes up for it. The staff are very pleasant, attentive and welcoming. I could tell this place would be spectacular by the cars waiting in the parking lot and the line out the door. Asian cuisine isn't hard to find in the seacoast, but unfortunately great food is rare. Sara Thai is one of those places that I forget exists. It's in a strange location without much else around, unlike the destination of Bed Bath & Beyond that's near Ikko, or the new shops including Old Navy up by Eastern Paradise, two Asian food places that have high quality food and that I frequent often. Sara Thai's food is simply delicious. Rich flavors and melt-in-your-mouth chicken and beef. Crispy spring rolls and delicious rice. I didn't even take any photos because I absolutely inhaled the food. I really need to make an effort to stop here more often. read more

Sara Thai is delicious. We regularly order their noodle dishes. They have lots of ways to customize dishes to make them vegetarian and they're great about making tofu or adding veggies and things like that. Love the Mee Pad, spice level adjustable and I like it just how they make it. The noodles have the perfect amount of chew and flavor. I really like their friend vegetarian spring rolls. Just writing about it makes me want to go and order some more. read more

Really? Maybe people around here dont know what good thai food is. The TomYum had literally two ingredients floating in it, yep thats right just TWO-- shrimp and mushrooms. Not exciting but the flavor was about right just not enough in it. The spicy fried rice was bland as ever, and had old shrively peas and tiny bits of carrot in it. I doubt I'd be back. Small Thai restaurant with 8 or 9 tables for 4. Good menu. Staff is very knowledgeable and very cheerful, friendly and helpful. We had the Seafood Lad Nar which had a generous portion f shrimp, scallops and squid and was delicious but a bit pricey at $19.95. Still, a very good meal. Wine was a very poor value at $8 for a 5 oz glass. Will be back to try some other dishes. read more
