most pho restaurants in modesto only has english on their menu, this might be the only restaurant i came across that actually has both english / vietnamese. because so, i knew it had to be legit. located in the "shadier" parts of town but the plaza was surprisingly busy with a lot of people going to harbor freights next door... the restaurant was clean, i ordered a medium pho tai, but it was a HUGE bowl of noodle, i can't imagine with the large looks like. a little lacking in the steak portion, but it was just enough for me. noodles were perfect, so was the broth! husband ordered the lemongrass chicken rice place and he cleaned it. thai tea boba was just ok. overall great / attentive service. will definitely put it on our revisit list. read more

My husband and I traveled through Vietnam for 1 month and I can attest that the food served here is very authentic. We will definitely return when we need our next fix. Very poor service tonight and sad to say we will NO longer frequent this restaurant! It took one employee this evening to ruin it for us. After dining in and going to pay our bill the gentleman who checked us out proceeded to Accuse us of shorting our bill a $1.46 from our previous visit to the resturant. We were shocked and embarrassed at the front counter. NOT only did we NOT short the bill from our last visit to the Resturant we left a generous tip on the table!! We tried to explain that but he continued to accuse us of shorting the bill $1.46. Feeling the eyes of the other patrons staring at us while listening to the conversation was extremely embarrassing. First time here 3/14/21. Really great pho broth! Appetizers were good. Open for dine in, but was pretty crowded, no AC, doors aren't propped open - stuffy, especially with the amount of people they allowed in to dine in and for pick-up orders. Server or cashier don't make eye contact. Almost a little rude, communications was not the best. Meat for soup was kinda of stingy, as well as noodles. "Medium" was not medium. It was more like kids size. Large was perfect amount of noodles but not enough meat to eat along with the noodles, barely any tripe or tendon given. I give 4 because food was overall quite tasty, and the broth was very good which is very important in my book when it comes to pho. Just portion meat and noodles right for size ordered. And better, friendlier service. And circulate air! We're still in a pandemic here! read more

Of the Vietnamese restaurant in this area, I've tried 4 spots, each one okay. This one today truly says Vietnamese from the menu to the coworkers talking. I felt almost at home. But this is Yelp, so here's the food review, today I ordered the Pho Dac Biet (M) and the Com Thit Nuong, Bi, and Cha hap - I've had the rice so far and I wasn't disappointed. Of course this can't be compared to food in Vietnam not food in SoCal but it is a great substitute. (The rice can however, be a bit softer, mine was a little dry and hard), some improvement may go great lengths here. As for the Pho, I haven't yet had it, I'm saving it for dinner, but I'm actually excited to try it. Review to come. . . . And here it is, the review for the Pho Dac Biet, drum roll please..... 4/5 stars - I'm bias when it comes to my mom's pho but last night when I constructed the bowl of pho, it was pure bliss. I finished the whole medium bowl minus a bit of the broth lol. The special was not lacking in meat nor the pho noodle, it was just the right amount of everything. (Next time I'll just ask for extra green onions and onion plus a little bit more of the Gan) but overall two thumbs up. I am satisfied. I'll give this place a try again but my experience sucked for my first time. I ordered a wor wonton soup for my lunch at work. We picked up the order and when I got to the office and opened up my soup.. there was no wontons in my soup. I agree this place is great! Good pho . Another reviewer said the spring rolls are lacking. That i do agree with. They could use more ingredients and love. I always have the tofu ones and they put so much Cilantro in my last order it was ridiculous. They also could have at least chopped it up. They have really delicious food! I had the shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce and pork ramen. My Husband got a grilled pork plate and it was really delicious. Would definitely eat here again. The ramen is a Vietnamese style ramen that tastes like pho but also has eggs and mushrooms. I had a party of 3 and the guy only brought 1 menu, after he tells us to go order inside. Um ok wtf? Whatever I go ask for another menu and went back to order inside. When this guy was done taking my order he took off from the counter and I ask ok was that it? He tells me no you have to wait for her (the lazy young lady) the lady after just literally threw utensils on the counter and said thats yours and the 3 drinks. If I had known that a restaurant that use to serve pretty decent was going to start changing to a damn (taqueria) style service I would have went somewhere else fyi that poor guy was the only one working with no help. 3 other people were sitting down on their Ipad and phones smh. read more

Medium pho was big! I wonder what size the XL looks like lol. The broth was flavorful, and there were good amount of meat. The chicken wings were fresh off the fryer, it was tasty and tender. All these came out to be a little over 22, the price was on point. Will return in the future for the XL size pho. read more

Been going to this place every Sunday. Today the sriracha tip came off onto the bowl of pho without touching it. We normally don't make it a big deal but the fact we know lots of people touch it with germs all over that thing. We asked for a new bowl. The server stated its not his problem nor it's their fault, and would need to pay for the new bowl. Hearing that when I used to run a food business, it really upsets me. If a spoon fell on the floor, you asked for a new one and they stated its not their fault to wipe it off and use it!. I would like to see if he himself would eat with that spoon. The young kid server is awesome and helpful. The guy that didn't care is either family to the owner maybe. He needs to go retake his food serving course.. On this note he failed. read more
