I think Saigon One is under new ownership or they just have gotten sloppier/lazy. I always come for the same thing #45 with chicken. Its supposed to come with shrimp and an egg roll and a salad. Well to my surprise this is what I got today. Just lettuce leaves when before the lettuce was nicely chopped. No egg roll and no shrimp.....this will be my last time ordering and its unfortunate because it was my go too for this specific plate in town

This is a Pho Sure spot Yelpies The menu is easy to read and the servers are very helpful and will give recommendations. The pho is fresh and delicious and the same goes for the broccoli and beef. I know these are comfort food options but to be honest not all Pho restaurants are created equal and once you eat here you will see what I mean. Flavor and quality at every bite

Came here hoping to find some good food. There aren't many places that sell Banh mi but this restaurant does. I ordered two Bahn mi sandwiches and spring rolls. I was disappointed instantly, from the moment I got my order. The Sandwiches were tiny with barely any meat or veggies in them. Flavors were not there, just very salty. I also tried their shrimp spring rolls. I for sure thought if the Banh mi disappointed me, the spring rolls would save the day. NOPE! Just two shrimp with lettuce and noodles. Service was very dry, and waited over 20 min.( sadly not worth the wait) I ordered takeout, maybe if it was a dine in it would be a better experience?? Who knows but not coming back to find out.

Bowl size and portion for there wor wonton soup worth the visit. Nice amount of seating for customers. Location and parking isn't the worse but understandable. Service kind of slow maybr because of the amount of people at the time of. But once the food arrives, you forget bout it and start eating good. Thank you.

The customer service was horrible! The host sat us down at a table, even though there were booths available, he didn't offer that. He just sat us down. My friend flagged down the waiter to order an appetizer. He said we are busy, ok?! So he didn't even take a drink order, or her request for an appetizer. When he finally came back, she ordered short ribs, shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce, and chicken wings. She also ordered chicken and pork pho. I posted photos of all the items. The waiter must not have understood that my friend ordered short ribs, because he came to ask if calamari was ok. She tried to explain to him that she had not ordered calamari. He said they already made it, is that ok? Ummm...no! That was not what she ordered. So, the appetizer (short ribs) came out last. There was a definite language barrier, we had a hard time understanding the waiter, and he apparently did not understand us. The ambiance is nothing special. My friend remarked at how she likes the asymmetrical artwork, because their paintings are all crooked. I was not impressed, I wasn't eating. I just tagged along with my friend. However, I tried a few of the sauces and they did not taste good. I did not like the taste of the peanut sauce or the sauce that came with the chicken wings. They were just not good. What pissed me off the most was the way they treated my friend. She tends to not let things like that bother her, but it upset me. He kept freaking out when she was ordering a bunch of food. Especially when she ordered take out for her daughter. They acted like we weren't going to pay or something. They asked if it was a split check or not. I'm not quite sure why, we could have asked for a split check if we wanted.

What are the hours for if they stop serving an hour before closing. First time I was not seated I was there 30 minutes before closing they refused to seat me. Second time I got there an hour before and they still refused yo seat us. read more

First time here with some friends for some Pho noodle soups on a Saturday afternoon. Don't see many customers - Pretty empty with many open tables. The friends recommended and like the place as regular customers. For me, typical of many Pho restaurants - You go in, they take your order, you eat, then go up front cashier desk to pay - Which means customer service nothing to mention about. Food-wise, the pho I had was okay & acceptable. Did noticed they give very little meat, compared to more than plenty in noodles & broth. AVOID at all cost!!! This is hands down one of the worst pho restaurant or restaurant I ever been to. The guy in the front is terrible and should just quit, he clearly does not what to be there. The lady in the back was the only nice one there, the man and the young girl in the front should just quit and hire new people that actually want to give customer service. They don't even offer napkins at the restaurant. They don't come and check on you if you need any refills. The food was mediocre at best. Do yourself a favor and pick another pho restaurant, there is plenty other around! Btw the restaurant was empty and obviously there's a reason for it. read more

Restaurant does NOT follow covid protocols. This visit was on Jan 2, 2022 at around 5pm. Our family walked in after a long day, and just wanted to eat some pho and the first thing we noticed as we walked in as that male waiter had his mask under my chin. He moved it to cover his mouth when he walked over to seat us, but when he stops to talk, he pulled his mask under his chin and talks. I asked if he could put his mask covering his face when he talks to us as he sat down and he replied "it's my right to not wear my mask". After he said that, our family got up and left the restaurant because we didn't feel safe eating there with him not following covid protocols or if he would spit in our food for me asking him to put his mask on. read more

I been coming to this restaurant since they opened a few years ago and I noticed that yesterday when I ordered food that my plates were super skimpy. The egg rolls were small like lumpia. My plate normally came with 3 shrimps now they put two and the price went up. Not coming back, I rather go to vietnoodle on coffee road. They still hook up the same portions for the same price. And I give them two stars but Yelp forcefully puts 5 stars on my review! Wtf Yelp ??? read more

Great food. Consistant pho soup. Waiter services are horrible. Especially Bald dude with glasses. Very disrespectful towards customer. Talks and acts like he's the sh*t. I order #1 pho large that is suppose to come with meatball and this time it didn't. I asked about it and over heard him saying that I was wasting his time. I live near this place & tried it for the first time. It was excellent! I ordered Kung Pao chicken with rice & an order of crispy egg rolls. I loved the sauce, variety of vegetables & the chopped peanuts on the Kung Pao. Chopping the nuts added a really nice touch. The egg rolls were excellent as well. They were crispy & light which went great with the lightness of the dipping sauce. I highly recommend that you try this place right away. I know I'll be going back very soon. read more

My poor Grandpa is disabled and usually only leaves the house for Doctor appointments. On this particular day he had the energy to leave the house and wanted to go eat some noodle soup. He ordered a bowl of wonton noodle soup and he found a whole shelled egg inside his bowl!!! Was it purposely put in the bowl as a joke? The egg was taken away, no explanation or apology. It was a very awkward experience for my family. We asked my Grandpa if he wanted a new bowl but he was afraid it would be further tainted. After a couple of months from my review, I've decided to go back and try this place again. I was not let down and especially the main man who I always see runs this place, he wears glasses, greeted me and was extremely sweet and respectful. He always is, just unfortunately I didn't have him as my server the day my bad service happened. He took the time to apologize to me about the service that was given to me and my family. I believe it takes a lot for someone to do this, especially how I was not aware that he even knew because I didn't see him much that night. I had take-out dinner here a couple days ago when he apologized to me. This place has always been my family and I's favorite and because of one apologize that I believe goes a long way, we will be coming back. Dinner was great as always, there was so much food in one plate! More than I have ever expected! Thank you again to the sweet man, I apologize I've forgotten your name, but you know who you are, for taking the time to making me feel welcomed again and feel like I've been heard. It takes a lot for someone to this and I believe that your business will start growing more and showing more this year based on your sweet and thoughtful customer service. read more

The dishes are subpar, which is wha to expected for the area. Boba was very watered-down and lacked any real flavor. The worse part of the meal was the $2 charge for extra noodles you see in the picture. I can probably count how how many noddles are in it. Very disappointing. When I brought this up to our waitress she did nothing to remedy the situation. Won't be back. Attention management 3.5 is a the Black Death for restaurants. read more

Pros: prompt service, reasonable prices, spacious Cons: not enough meat in pho and rice plate, broth was good but once we starting mixing in the pho ingredients it tasted funny. I think the chili oil totally messed it up. The rice plate had a small portion of meat and came out cold. The Thai tea was too sweet. The place smelt like cigarettes, but come to find out the smell was coming from the waiter who took our order. He had a strong smell of cigarette. read more

Went here a couple weeks ago and ordered one spring roll. As I was eating the roll, I saw the cashier /waiter man walk over to the garbage cart with dirty dishes cleared from the table and begin picking the leftover greenery (basil?) from peoples plates. Then he took a handful of it to the kitchen, meeting a woman in the doorway and speaking to her about the handful of greenery before disappearing into the kitchen and returning empty handed. I'll let you imagine where it ended up. I was grossed out and couldn't even finish my spring rolls which were full of basil. i went to the counter to pay and told the man who did this that I had seen him, and he just looked down and said nothing. Don't come here for the service (although it gets marginally friendlier if you're a regular). Do come for the best pho in the area. A well concocted broth that's not too greasy and accompanied by a healthy serving of veggies. read more

We love this place! It's always consistently good and the service is nice and quick. We probably order in from this place on post mates twice a month now due to Covid but even as a take out order it's hot and good! We recommend the fried rice, beef vermicelli, and onion beef. read more

They DO have outdoor dinning. Jason is my favorite server... he always remembers my favorite meal (#46 pork with extra cilantro), he even remembers what the kids order. Love the jasmine iced tea, but the Thai tea is a no go. The food is always good and fills us up. read more

I'm no ramen expert but I've tried over a dozen ramen places in Tokyo, Vancouver, Japan town in LA, San Francisco, Oahu, Seattle just to name a few cities. So we got first the spicy garlic edamame. Not bad at all, had a kick to it and was edible. From a scale of 1 to 5. I'd give it a 5. For the main entree, I wanted the garlic tonkatsu but the waitress said they ran out.... Ok, for a Saturday night at 6 pm, running out of a ramen and they've been in business for several years now?!? never had that happen before in any ramen shop I've been to. So me and my wife both got the Ichiraku ramen which was a miso broth with pork belly. Price $23. I added 2 more pork belly at $5 more. Oh, the waitress mentioned no bamboo shoots and no fish cake........ ok, never had that happen before in a ramen shop. So while eating edamame, I kept track of how long it took we got our ramen.... It took 30 minutes before we got our ramen... definitely atypical to wait that long wait but I guess it's because they offer a lot of items besides ramen. Presentation was fine, the pork belly was seared on one side with a blow torch since I can taste that searing. . It just had green onions, 2 seaweeds and 2 soft boiled eggs which I was impressed the yolk wasn't overcooked. The noodles I chose was thin and was good with a soft texture. The miso broth was average Over all, it was an okay ramen. Me and my wife both didn't finish our bowls... definitely unusual since we love ramen but somehow, it didn't fulfill our satiety to finish and be content. I can tell you that of all the ramen places I've been to. This is average and doesn't compare to Ramen 101 in Modesto that I've ordered many times before my first time here. Sadly, I can only give it 3 stars because the ramen was average and not in the same league as other ramens I've had in other places and cities. And if me and my wife couldn't finish our ramen, that's a tell tale sign it was just okay. Plus, the place is called Konfucius Eats, doesn't have a Japanese name for a restaurant since "Confucius " is a Chinese Philosopher lol. In fact, I didn't see any Japanese or Asian cooks... just saying that's atypical to the other ramen establishments I've been to. For Modesto, it's aight. I just can't see myself going back here for a long time. Lastly, they are open Tuesday to Saturday only .

Bad service. They didn't say welcome to there restaurant. When we came in they didn't ask us what we want to drink. We waited for 10 min. Before someone took are order. And they still didn't ask us what we would like to drink. They didn't come and check on us to see if we wanted anything else we had to get up and go to them and ask. They where not friendly at all. We usually don't try new restaurants because 9/10 times we regret it but I'm so glad we tried this spot. This is our new go to spot especially for PHO. Staff is friendly, seating area is super clean, and the food is DELICIOUS. Try it out, you won't regret it. Glad to have this place closer to our side of town. read more
