My favorites here are #80 - Sautéed Beefsteak and #88 - Char-broiled Pork with Egg, Shrimp, & Egg Roll. Their Egg Rolls are different than other Vietnamese restaurants that I'm used to---there's a lot of carrots-- but I love them! So just be aware of that in case you don't like carrots. The service here is always quick and attentive even when it's busy. read more

So, I was in Wichita for a conference, and one of my colleagues recommended Saigon for the perfect lunch spot--all I can say is: Thanks forever, Gideon! This spot was definitely worth checking out. Not only was it fast but it was also so delicious! Our whole group left feeling full and very satisfied. I ordered the fresh spring rolls--they had shrimp inside and came with the traditional peanut hoisin dipping sauce! Delish. I also got the pork banh mi--it was delicious and only wished there was a little more sauce on the bun to make the whole thing a bit less dry! I loved the Beef and Meatball Pho! It was so yummy and warm! The service was amazing and our waters were always full! I really liked the decor, it was super funky and fun with giant lobsters that were hard to miss!! Went here hungry after work and was extremely disappointed. I was so hungry that even decent food would have been good. Ordered fresh rolls and bahn mi. The rolls were clearly made a long time ago because the wrapper so so dry it was nearly inedible. The bahn mi was a giant piece of dry bread with next to nothing In it. Consistency is key and the consistency at Saigon is always delicious. As a couple we get a fried rice and a pan fried noodle dish, mix then together and slather the meal in sriracha. Very comforting food. read more

Mom and pop restaurant, clean and festive decorations, interesting place, #45 grilled pork is testy but could have more veggies in the bowl, size of the pho is kinda small, like Ramen size. My noodle it's little over cooked. Eggs roll was very surprise different, has to get it to try it, it's has sweet potatoes . 5 stars for the Egg Roll! The service at Saigon Restaurant is outstanding. The restaurant seems to be family run, and the members serving are very courteous and attentive. We ordered egg rolls for an appetizer and the egg rolls were amazing. Unfortunately, our entrees didn't have a lot of flavor, we ordered Pho and a dry noodle dish. We had to add a lot of Hoisin Sauce and Condiments to the entrees for flavor. Overall, this is a great staff and good restaurant. read more

Hum, where do I start? A friend and I went in for lunch. I order bun and my friend ordered whatever the table next to her ordered. I don't know what that was and I think they just downright messed up the order. The waiter told us what the next table was eating, however, my friends food looked like my order and my order did not look like the table next to us.????? I was on business in Wichita and I already tried the other Vietnamese restaurant down the street so I figure I would give Saigon a try. What blew me away was the LARGE menu that this restaurant has. I am from North Texas where we have a very large Vietnamese population and most of the restaurants in my hometown is not this large. The dining room was very clean and the staff was friendly. May be we don't know what to order, we ordered 83. Char-Broiled Pork rice and Pho. They are so tasteless! The Char-Broiled Pork is so so so dry and so 'colorful', I don't taste any 'Char-Broiled'!? Honestly I made BBQ Pork at home also, so that is so not good, not sure why a lot of people recommend it, may be I am just unlucky. Regarding the Pho, I don't know how to describe, not enough 'meat' and just like you put meat inside a boil water? plus noodle.....Anyway, not a very good experience for we have Pho very often on different trips. read more

Best egg rolls in Wichita. Pho is bomb too, especially with bbq pork. Owner clearly works his butt off with this place, as he is almost always here -- along with his friendly family and co-workers -- and the result speaks for itself in quick, tasty, and inexpensive food. Note that the neighborhood is sketchy. Strange people roaming the nearby streets. Never had a problem though, and wife and I have come at all hours. Overall, there's something homey about this place, too. Like you're just eating in their big kitchen. I came in once and an older lady worker was using one of those electric massager things on her back. Was hilarious, and fitting with the realness of Saigon. Anywho, we come probably once every week or two, and highly recommend it.. Keep bringing the good stuff, Saigon! read more

Decent prices and quick food. I ordered a pineapple smoothie, egg drop soup and vermicelli noodles. They don't have the option of beef and pork but I asked to swap the chicken for beef in the chicken and pork bowl. The beef was good but the pork was a bit dry. Saigon has become my #1 favorite restaurant in Wichita. Since I discovered it about 6 months ago and have returned there about a dozen times since. Best is their #45; noodles with pork. The flavor of the pork has a smoky quality that sets is apart. The freshness of the cilantro and consistency of the noodles is perfect every single time. The egg rolls are the best I've ever had in my life...simply wonderful. The proprietor and his staff are always super friendly, professional and attentive. I love the atmosphere at Saigon and everything about it! If I ever have out-of-town guests, I love to take them to great local restaurants. Saigon on Broadway is at the top of that list! read more

We stopped into Saigon Restaurant on our way from Kansas City back to Oklahoma City and were VERY pleasantly surprised by the modestly priced, fresh, and extremely flavorful fare offered there. (We're HUGE fans of Vietnamese cuisine, and OKC offers a vast panoply of Indochinese cuisines in its famous Asian District/Little Saigon, so, to say the least, we're REALLY spoiled, and maybe even a little finicky.) The venue was exceptionally clean and well lighted (albeit a little dated), and both the restaurateur and the staff members were friendly and helpful. I LOVED THE PH GÀ HERE, TOO! First time to this restaurant. Was recommended by a person we just met here in Wichita, Being that we're newcomers to the area. Wasn't sure what to expect, but our experience was wonderful. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. It was early evening, the sun had just gone down,yet the parking lot lights were not on. Once inside, the service was great, the menu had great variety and what we came in for did not disappoint. I had an egg noodle soup with pork and shrimp. It was very tasty and on that particular day, it was quite cold out, and the soup hit the spot. We'll definitely be back in the future. Lots more things on the menu that we want to sample. read more

This place is very casual, there are no uniformed servers. Don't let the look of the restaurant fool you! The first time I went in here with my hubby, I was not pleased that he brought me to this weird looking place. The front of the restaurant is very cluttered, however I soon realized that this didn't matter, the food was so tasty! They put the greatness where it belongs, in the food. This stuff is AMAZING!! I like the #46, this is the same as the #45 only without an egg roll. If I am with my hubby I will sometimes get the #45 so he can have an extra egg roll. Either way, the combination of the noodles, cilantro, nuts, and charred beef it is just AMAZING. I love how their charred beef is so tender, yet the edges give this crunchy texture that lifts the taste of it to newer heights. Every time I get their bowls,I think there is just too much noodles to beef ratio. Then when I am done eating I have a few noodles left and quite a bit of beef. You would think I would learn by now! This is a Coke place so this makes it even better!! If you like Pepsi and don't like this place it is probably more the fact that you like Pepsi rather than the taste of the food. (Your taste buds have been driven insane due to the Pepsi poisoning ....) Anyway, I definitely recommend this place. Just remember this is Saigon, NOT Little Saigon!! read more

Horrible. One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. We got a huge Banh Mi sandwich - well the bread was huge. It have 3 little strips of carrot and 5 tiny pieces of over done pork. The rest of the sandwich was dry bread. The sandwich was almost all dry bread 95%. Our hungry teenager got a fried rice dish and hardly ate any. We also got Com Xao Ga according to the receipt. It was a chicken veggie noodle dish that was not good. Then, I put my card on a handwritten receipt that was dropped at our table and no one took it. I finally took it to the register and I think that was what I was supposed to do but no one told me. Then, I never got a itemized bill and when I asked for one she refunded me something over $1.00. I have no idea why, I guess they were over charging me. I would not go back here if you paid me. We only came here, because we were from out of town and we were looking for Little Saigon and missed it and made a mistake. I come to Wichita often and am always looking for good places to eat and this is not it. How does this place stay in business. I wish I could rate a minus 1. With some help deciding, I got the rice noodles with beef & onion and an egg roll. Super authentic tasting and some of the best food I have had in a very long time. I've been eating here for 20 years, it's a great place for vietnamese food. The service is fast and the quality and freshness is great. The spring rolls are a must try as is the french coffee. For those who don't know, the french coffee is coffee that is slow dripped into a glass with a little sweetened condensed milk in the bottom. You let it sit at your table as it drips. After it's done, you stir it all together and then pour it over ice. It tastes very chocolatey but it's just the coffee and the milk. Very rich. Their jack fruit drink is good as well. Their chinese food is good also, seasoned a little differently than traditional, but a nice change. You can't go wrong here. Don't be afraid, just jump in. read more

I really have tried to like this restaurant especially since the staff is so kind. I even stopped eating there for a year after having an allergic reaction to the garnishes for their pho. I ordered the stir fry noodles with combination meat. Meh. There were scattered pieces of chicken and beef and 2 shrimp. Sauce with little flavor. They have good egg rolls but that's about it.
