Have been going to Schlotzksy's for many years. It's the bread, it's the way it's assembled, it's also very affordable, when we can order a delux original and both of us eats for $12. This is rare anymore even at burger places. Going to this location can be hit or miss depending on the time of day, I suppose. I am not a drive through person, I can't see the menu, and I have difficulty hearing over the speaker. Thus I go inside. Many, and I mean Many times when I go into this location there isn't anyone at the front counter. I was led to believe this was due to being short handed, so this is forgiven. I do, however, worry about the safety for the employees when the front of the store is unlocked and unattended, and not even acknowledged. If you need to lock the door to be safe, I am less opposed to that, I can try to use the app instead of navigating the drive-thru. Otherwise it may be a better choice to have someone cover the front of the store. read more

Went to the W Pawnee location on May 1st. Ordered a Medium Original WITHOUT black olives. Got home and it had black olives and the bread was so hard. Tried to call the store and I let it ring at least 12 times, but no one answered. Had to throw the whole thing away. Money down the drain! read more

I just picked up an order from online ordering. The sandwiches we're supposed to be on jalapeño bread. NOT. one was a deluxe with extra meat, which I paid $2.00 extra for, NOT ANT EXTRA, ordered a bowl of potato soup. The container was NOT even half full. Schlotzsky's has been one of my "go-to" sandwich options for the 25+ years I've lived in Wichita, but somehow I missed this location's re-model sometime around last Thanksgiving. The place LOOKS really nice, but the sandwiches have gone up in price and down in quality. My sandwich (medium Original on jalapeno-cheese bun) was sparsely topped with only 3 slices of paper-thin salami, and about equal amounts of ham and turkey. The predominant topping seemed to be purple onions, and there were only 3-4 olive slices, nowhere near what olive content used to be on the sandwiches. I love the Scholtzsky's bread, but when the stuff between the slices measures up at about 1/4" of filling, I'm taking my lunch business elsewhere. It was $8 for a sandwich, chips and a drink, which is about $2-$3 more than this meal was worth. read more

I was very disappointed with my first time visiting at this establishment. We had No hello greeting when entering. I told the cashier this was our first visit she never made any attempt to suggest a menu item. We were served paper bags with our cup and straw inside. Our food delivered in a paper sack without no napkins No hello, can I get you anything else. When leaving No one said goodbye thanks for coming in. How is everything did you enjoy your first visit? Absolutely nothing good job Wichita Kansas at the Pawnee location. Your customer service is absolutely horrible. We will not return. I drove in from out of town with my girlfriend tonight and we needed a quick meal because we'd been driving all day long. In all fairness we got to the drive through at 8:40 and they closed at 9. But we had already looked at the menu online and new what we wanted. So tell me, is it acceptable to say we can't serve you a salad because you already closed down the salad section? I understand trying to get out of there early on a slow night. But seriously, I'm a cook at a restaurant and it is not that hard to grab ingredients out of the walk-in for a to-go salad. And the sarcastic attitude from the kid handing us the food? The cherry on top of our already long day. Won't be stopping for food in Wichita anymore. read more

Poor customer service. Make you feel unwelcome. When at the drive through they make you feel like you're an inconvenience to them and try to rush you through your order. Unfortunate that this is my neighborhood Scholtzkeys. Also, on my last trip they forgot my chips and I called to let them know so they wouldn't forget food for other customers orders and the girl replied sarcastically "thank you for your advice sir." I came in during lunch and even tho it was busy they had my food out in like 2 minutes. It was delicious. I almost didn't eat here because of the bad reviews but I've been craving it for weeks. So good!!! The lady at the register was also very nice! read more
