Who doesn't love banh mi. One of my favorite places to get banh mi. They have that special where you buy two sandwiches and you get a third for free. Line can be long depends on day and time you go. We went during the lunch hours and the line was out the door. But service was quick. You can't eat here since there are no table. It is more of a to-go place. We ordered, got our banh mi, and on our merry way. Will definitely stop by whenever we are in the neighborhood. read more

Stable banh mi place in OC. They have a handful of stores within OC and they're quite popular with the VNese community. Reasonable prices, favorable taste, and have all the snacks and coffee. This location has a big parking lot but can be busy most of the time since it's next to the VNese market. The place is cleaned, very organized plus nice, friendly staff. It's one of the popular place therefore there will be a line (2-3 people in line), but during the high time, the wait can be 10-20mins long. read more

Very unprofessional. After paying for a baguette, the cashier said to wait 7 min. I waited in the car, came in to pick up the baguette at 7 min, they all sold out. Great food, great service, plenty of parking available. My fave bahnmi is the origional on a long bread. The bread is good here. A slight sweetness of hoisin sauce inside sandwiches. This parking plaza is a mess especially on the weekends I suggest park far and just walk to the bakery. The line is long at times too but moves quickly. There usually two workers at the front and they do an awesome job moving the line and reading your order back to you. Some of the best breads in the OC I love their round breads so chewy, crispy, and hearty. I usually buy just the breads and eat it with eggs, butter, and make my own sandwiches. Recently tried their buy 2 get 1 deal. I got the deli cold (#1), the grilled pork (#2), and meat ball (#9) with the veggies on the side. I actually enjoy the veggies here they all seemed fresh they have pickled daikon/carrots that aren't too pickled and cucumbers, jalapeños, and cilantro. My favorite was the grilled pork it was flavorful and had a lot of mayo. The deli cold and meat ball were just okay. I also tried their banh pate chaud which is also buy 2 get 1 free it was really crispy but not much meat and a bit dry for my taste my son loved it though. Wow! Where have you been all of my life? My son was craving Bahn Mis and I wasn't complaining. We were in Newport Beach and knew we'd have to travel to get something good! We wanted a place we hadn't been to before and we ordered a variety, along with a fresh baked baguette. My son also picked up a basil seed drink from the fridge, which they will add ice to, if needed. I picked up a chrysanthemum tea. We both can't wait to go back for more! I stopped by here after visiting the dim sum place inside the grocery next door. Figured why not give them a try since I'm already here and love trying out new places anyway. I was surprised at how average the ratings are here. Line moves quick and I saw a lot of people going in just for their bread. It was hard to read the menu since it was so far and tiny. I was able to just snap a photo and look on my phone. The round football small sandwiches are buy 2 get 1 free. They are $6.50 each. I ordered 2 cold cuts and 1 grilled beef. Last night I only had the cold cut and I was surprised at how good it was! The pate was pretty good which is rare when I'm trying out different businesses. read more

I love the bahn mi sandwiches here and they're only $6! The bread is perfectly crisp and baked onsite. Yes, there's a line, but it moves pretty fast and most people are purchasing the Baguettes for $1.75. The round baguette sandwiches are buy two get one free! It took a bit fot the sandwiches to be made, but the grilled pork bahn mi was so worth it. Take out only for this spot, no seating is available. Been coming here since high school for banh mi sandwiches but with new banh mi shops opening constantly I only come here for the egg rolls now. (catering only). Don't get me wrong, the banh mi sandwiches are good but I feel they kind of skimp on the meat. I love the buy 2 get 1 free deal though. But back to the egg rolls. For any parties or pot lucks I always cater egg rolls from here. They are fresh and delicious. Everyone always compliments how good it is. Plus the price isn't bad compared to other places. The bread for the Banh mi is nice and crisp, but they were a little skimpy on the veggies inside. I think for my lunch meat sandwich I only had one slice of jalapeño, out of the entire sandwich. This improved the second time I went here, but I had asked for extra jalapeño and cilantro. Overall the flavor was good, but missing some of the veggie flavor. I think the bread made this sandwich. I ordered the roast pork & cold cut banh mi. The banh mi were made to order, the food came out quickly. The flavor was definitely there, the meat and the veggies were well balanced. However, the roast pork meat was a little hard and the skin was not crunchy. It wasn't bad, i finished the sandwich in no time. The place is cleaned and there are so many options like banh bao, cha and drinks. The service was good. Stopped by to pick up some snack and some banh mis for the house. The service here is always quick and fast, even if it's not always super friendly. I don't care, I'm used to it. Just because the staff isn't being overbearingly attentive (I prefer that they aren't) I came here for the good food. As long as the food is good, that's all I care about. And people who aren't used to the kind of brusk service and think it's "rude" need to get a reality check. It's efficient and it's how all these little Viet bakeries are. If you don't like it, then don't come here and clog up the line... I'm trying to get all the goodies before they sell out. Saigon Bakery has one of the best breads, and in turn.. One of the BEST banh mi sandwiches you could get in Orange County. I usually get the cold cuts sandwich on round bread, the round bread is just softer and more fun to eat compared to the baguette. It also still has that nice crunchy texture but it's not as crunchy/hard (which is good for me since I have braces). They also have the Buy 2, Get One Free deal here! So pick up a few for yourself or share with friends! read more

I like buy two get one free round banh mi here although I can eat better ones at another Saigon The area around here is very ghetto with homelesses sitting right in front of the store but then again we can't really do anything. The social distance is not enforced. People technically aren't lined up 6ft apart. The service is very friendly though. At least they let us pay with card without charging extra fees. read more

A gem of a find amidst all of the great Vietnamese eatery choices in Westminster. I'm surprised that nobody has yelped about this place sooner. Sorry, I was so distracted by my excitement in finding it that I did not take any pictures. What a total Yelp amateur move! I happened to be in the area, starving, and was debating what to stop for to take care of my hunger pangs. I happened to pull into the strip mall parking lot where this is located in order to consult my trusty yelp, and low and behold, this place was right in front of me. I'm not sure why I didn't see it at first because the signage on the front of the shop is fairly prominent with the words "Banh Mi Saigon" prominently displayed. But what really caught my eye was the small line up of Vietnamese people waiting to order. I get to travel a fair amount in Asia and don't speak or read any of the local languages. That has never prevented me from finding great food. And by great, I don't mean fancy or expensive. I mean great food by local standards...What real people eat. One of my failsafe measures of being fed well is looking for local people lining up somewhere. 99% of the time, it is always for food and the lineup is promising for something good! Despite the large signage, the shop is relatively small with no table space. This is a take away joint only so get in line, check out the small menu while waiting and know what you are going to order when you get to the countertop, order, pay, and GTFO of the way off to the side to await your sandwich to be made à la minute. They usually take cash or credit and they don't do the annoying miserly Asian practice of app charging for credit card usage. That alone is almost worth five stars! I grabbed a steaming hot Banh Bao which was fantastic. But the.Banh Mi was even better! It was stuffed full, and definitely a two handed eating operation. I have actually not had a Banh Mi that heavy and full of great ingredients. And the best part was that it was only $6.50! Where I live, I can get a serviceable smaller one, but at nearly double the price, which should tell you something. I probably just screwed this up for everyone because once the owners see this review, they will realize that they are probably under charging for what they are providing. In addition to the great internal stuffing of the sandwich, a respectful paragraph needs to be devoted strictly to the bread. This was a classic enlarged French baguette, pillowy soft on the inside, and extremely crusty on the outside. I made the mistake of eating this in the front seat of my car. Luckily, it was a rental vehicle but I felt bad about the amount of detritus left all over the front seat and floor mats from the crust coming apart with each bite! Simply awesome! In addition to what I have described, this place also sells individual items to make your own at home. There were imported cans of pate, as well as specialized Vietnamese deli cold cuts that I have not seen elsewhere. They even sold their pickled carrot and radish garnish to take away. It would seem to be a great resource for DIY Banh Mi although I'm sure it would not be nearly as good as the ones made in house! This place is now on my list of spots to hit up for a great local sandwich at family friendly prices and should be on yours too! read more

Saigon's Bakery has really tasty banh mi sandwiches. While they may be slightly pricier than average banh mi, the quality and taste justify the cost. The two standout options are the egg banh mi and the BBQ pork banh mi. They have perfect crusty baguettes, which at other banh mi spots can be soggy. We called in an order for my daughter's birthday and it was a big hit with our guests. They made it very easy and I was even able to make adjustments to my order after I realized I made some mistakes with my initial order. It's perfect for catering. I will definitely be back in the future to order more. Four stars only because it was a little more pricey than I expected. read more

This is my go to spot for hot and fresh baguettes in OC! Price starts at $1.50 per baguette. The center of baguette is nice and airy. Baguette has a nice crunch to it and doesn't scratch the roof of your mouth. My usual go to order is 2 baguettes and a side of pate! It's the perfect go to snack. The thit nuong and bbq pork has ample filling, just the right amount of pate and mayonnaise. The bread is fresh and doesn't scratch the roof of my mouth. The cafe sua da here is solid too, and holds its strength well - longer than Vietnamese iced coffee from other places. There is usually a line if you come on the weekends - but if you get here early enough, there is a shorter wait. Even with the line, they move pretty quickly. Parking is shared with the bustling Vietnamese supermarket next door - so definitely expect to have difficulty finding parking on the weekends. I ordered 6 coconut bread (3 for $5.00) and 2 cup coffee ($4.00 each). I paid by 4 of the 5.00 dollar bill and got 2 dollars back. When I return home, I find only three coconut breads in the bag, so I drive back to the store. I was told the lady who services me is gone and she is a part-time worker.
