Today saw a young woman just got cut slowly into the line by this not so good looking older woman, slowly at the side entrance but surely enough she was completely cut after 2 more. They have a few locations and we usually go to the one up the street but there was a line out the door so we decided to come here instead. Yummy is known for their buns but their roast pork sandwich is good as well. They have various types of sandwiches and desserts for you to choose. Their Suong Sao Banh Lot is 10/10. Although food is good, service is bad and that really leaves a bad taste. We had ordered the roast pork sandwiches and a pound of roast pork. Waited for our order and those that ordered after us got their order before us (they had ordered the same as well). We got our sandwiches and when asked about our pound of roast pork, we were told by the guy cashier that it's being worked on. 5-10 mins went by and other people who ordered the side of roast pork got theirs again before us. When asked again, the lady in the back said it should be in the same bag with the sandwiches. We told them it wasn't and it looks like our order never went through. All this time, not one person apologized and the guy cashier gave us an attitude for following up; as if he's annoyed. I understand if you're busy then things tend to be forgotten but not to the point where we've asked twice and was told it's being worked on or it being pointed back on us that it was given already. The space is small and no real areas to eat there, so the place is more conduce to order/take out/ grab and go. Not a lot of frills here and the service is straightforward, no nonsense. they have prepackaged food items, beverages, and make sandwiches among other stuff. It almost feels like a Vietnamese bodega or what I imagine those NY bodegas are like. I came here looking to pick up some Viet sandwiches (my cousins who live in the area recommended this place for the sandwiches or banh mi). I ordered the crispy pork sandwich or Banh Mi Heo Quay and I thought it was delicious. The bread had a great texture and chew. The ingredients were all good to me. This location is much smaller than most of the ones I've been to and not as busy, but they carry pretty much the same items. The bread is not too thick and the filling is so good! There are other fillings of banh baos that they offer, but I always go with the ones that have egg, pork meat, and sausage. The filling was a tad sweet, but I still liked it. These banh baos reheat very well in the microwave without having to steam them. My only gripe is that a lot of the bread got stuck to the paper at the bottom. I'm not sure if it's because it doesn't do well after reheating at home, or that's just how it is, but it's a bummer because I lose all the breading at the bottom. read more

My sister sent me a TikTok of a snack that was sold at this bakery. They have a few locations in Orange County, so I was hoping this one had what I was looking for! I saw their Vietnamese snacks set up on the counter and found the rice paper with fried onions. The one I actually wanted was the garlic one, but decided to try it anyways. My hubby grabbed a bag of crunchy baguette toasts topped with butter and sugar, but it looks like they get this from Ming's Bakery. The rice paper snack was very chewy, but had a good spicy flavor. My sister enjoyed it was well, but she suggested putting it in the air fryer or oven, which made it much easier to eat and elevated this snack as well. Probably the best BBQ pork Banh Mi I've had in Little Saigon. The bread is so good, freshly baked. They pack the inside with lots of meat and veggies. They definitely don't skimp.
