Tried this for lunch, review only for banh mi as I did not go in person. The ratio for meats look good, wrapping is pretty simple with paper plastic bag and rubber bands. They do take zelle :). Unfortunately, it didnt taste good. The bread was dry and hard, not fresh or fluffy. The pickled vegetables seemed a bit dried out. The cold cut one was okay, but none of the cold cuts had their distinct flavor just a buttery taste. I chose a 6. Grilled beef but ended up getting something that looked similar to the fermented beef (nem chua). The reason for the low rating was that this had huge freezer burn/old food left in the fridge taste. I had to take it out. It reminded me of when you dig through your parents fridge and find that food stuck in the back of the shelf. Overall, it was not fresh. Their spring rolls looked okay, probably sell out fast because by 11 only 2 left. Maybe it was an off day because this place was an authentic recommendation. Banh mi is crunchy with good amount of protein and crunchiness. Very simple and delicious. I do like that their sauce is a tad on the sweeter side compared to other places. It's a very traditional Vietnamese shop. Felt like a kid again walking in here. As for certain Yelpers here with unrealistic standards, I would remind them that this is a small mom and pop shop. I don't think the owner realizes it, but the bananas were boiled way too early (to fulfill the demands) and they are too green still. They need to wait a bit longer (another 2-3 days) for the bananas to ripen up just a bit more. Not overripe & mushy when boiled, but at least a bit ripened so they would be a bit sweeter, but still firm. I have to throw them out now since they are no good. Still one of my favorite banh mi place. My go to order is the banh mi xiu mai + Bi, with extra sauce. The banh mi heo quay is also really good, crunchy pork belly skin with green onions. Those 2 are my favorite and go banh mi. The xiu mai bi with extra sauce banh mi, you have to eat it right away or at home, it gets messy but so worth it. I find that the banh mi here if you eat it right away, its really good, but if you leave it for a few hours, the texture of the bread changes. But overall its delicious. read more

Get here early. Maybe like before 2. We got here in the evening looking for baguettes and they had run out. They couldn't make you a banh Mi if you wanted to order one. The silver lining is they will sell you bags of small 3-4 inch sections of baguette at a discount. I guess the banh mis have to be a certain size so they have a lot of these leftover pieces. Khoảng 5 hay 7 phút sau thì cô phụ bán từ bếp bước ra nói hết cà ri rồi, cũng vừa lúc cô chủ tiệm làm xong bánh mì cho mình. Lúc đó mình mới nói với cô chủ tiệm vậy cho mình order thêm 2 ổ bánh mì đặc biệt loại mua 2 ổ tặng 1 ổ. Tự nhiên cô chủ tiệm sừng sộ nạt mình "Bánh mì bì đã làm xong rồi nên sao bây giờ mới mua thêm 2 ổ loại mua 2 tặng 1? Vậy tôi phải lấy bớt thịt trong ổ đã làm ra!" Mình nghe cô ấy la mình như vậy nên trả lời là "Vì lúc đầu cô nói còn cà ri nên em chỉ mua 1 ổ bánh mì bì thôi. Giờ cô lại nói hết cà ri thì em mua thêm 2 ổ bánh mì. Sao cô làm dữ với em?".
