The time flew by and everyone went on and on about it. Took wine, beer and snacks for our appetizer cruise. Sailing was smooth, no rocking. Easy to walk around. Lots of folks visited with others while others were quiet. We even had a proposal. Lots of laughs, photos and memories. Had a fantastic sundown sail on the Seawolf catamaran on 05/07/16! Weather was perfect and had a really gorgeous sunset to enjoy! The boat was full with 49 sailors, but there was plenty of room. It was a festive group and a great way to spend a balmy May evening. Eating on the boat would be OK, I guess (finger food only, pizza, sandwiches, etc.). But with Gloria's, Campisi's, 3 Sheets and Dodi's right there, why not go early, enjoy a nice meal and then go sailing?!? We opted to have Campisi's and it worked out fine. The boat was ship shape and Captain Scott Self was a gracious host. Music was provided and was predictably sailing themed, kitschy cool. I'm not sure why anyone would give this a 4 or 5 star review. My husband bought a groupon for the two of us. Normally $30/person but this was $30 for the two of us. I wouldn't pay $5. We went nowhere at slow-boat-to China speed with no entertainment other than a crummy radio station and a birthday party on the top deck with us consisting of about 20 people getting drunker and louder. Well, at least someone was having a good time out there. Though the weather was perfect and it was a gorgeous early fall day, it was just a slow and overpriced boat ride to nowhere with nothing to look at along the way. The final straw was when I went below to get our "complimentary" water that was promised on the signs. Nope! The bottles were $1 and I was directed to a water fountain. We couldn't get out of there fast enough when it was all over. Please don't waste your precious money and time with this rip-off. read more

It was really boring. We went on Valentines day thinking that a night 2 hours cruising and fireworks will be romantic but it turned out opposite. You won't feel if the boat is sailing, it's extremely slow and boring with zero entertainment. read more

It was 16 of us and asked if they would play more upbeat party music. We were told they can not play explicit music because kids were on board. One of the best things you can do in Dallas is taking this boat tour, I definitely recommend! Scott, his wife and the boat crew are fun, they let you steer the boat, will even teach you knot-tying tricks. My husband and I went sailing with Scott yesterday for our anniversary during the pre-dinner cruise. WOW! We had such a wonderful time sailing around Lake Ray Hubbard for the 1st time. Still can't believe that we got to go on such a beautiful, relaxing 1.5hr long cruise for only $25/person! After 30 min of sailing, the boat stopped in the middle of the lake so that those folks who wanted to could jump in for a swim. The views & the breeze were great as we sailed & helped keep everyone cool in the 100+ degree heat... along with the bottled waters that cruise provided (for free). You can also bring your own drinks, which we saw some folks indulging in some home-made brew they'd brought along. This cruise is something my husband and I will remember for a lifetime. Highly recommend - we just went today and already want to go back! This was nothing short of an absolute pleasure! Scott and his crew treated all guests with great hospitality and took time to chat with and take pictures for all onboard. This is a great location in Rockwall, TX close to shops and restaurants - it was great to grab a bite to eat, a bottle of wine, and kick back and relax while watching the sunset on the boat. It's a short drive from the city, but makes you feel as if you're on a tropical vacation. And, if you're a boat fanatic like me, you'll fall in love with with gorgeous 40 ft wooden catamaran which was custom built by Scott himself. We booked a late afternoon cruise for four adults and four kids on a Saturday. The boat and trip were fantastic, but the real charm of the trip is Captain Scott and his wife! They are running a business but they make the trip as close to perfect as possible. Our kids were given a chance to explore the boat and steer once we were underway. Just had an excellent experience sitting on the top deck of the Harbor Lights. We had friends from out of town who enjoyed 90 minutes on calm waters and a cool breeze with us. We sipped champagne and watched a sparkling shoreline as we sailed. A marriage proposal even took place, on bended knee, right in front of us to great applause! Our 3rd time on the Seawolf with Captain Scott & crew and it was more than a charm! Took our 79 year old mom from Ohio (also her 3rd time) and invited 4 other friends. The Captain and crew are most welcoming and engage with the customers throughout the sail. It was Wed. night sail race night on the lake so that made it even more interesting of a sail. Mom can be hard to please and she was in her happy place the whole sale! She wants to come back and pay to be on all 3 sails for a day! Thank you for making mom happy!
