This was a rough dinner service. We sat down at 6:30 and it was about 45 minutes before our order was taken. We ordered rock shrimp, which was very fresh but it needed more sauce. The dish also came with a little empty sauce bowl. We asked what was supposed to be in there and the guy didn't know what it was for. For our entree, we ordered two sushi rolls. They were good but they fell apart. The service was horrible, they only had one server. She was nice but it seemed like there was a language barrier. The food was decent, and I'd go back, but they really need to work on service. We were there for two hours, and we should've been in and out in under 1.5 hours. read more

What we ordered here was good taste wise, but the portions were quite small. It's obviously a family business. The guy was doing all the order taking and serving and the gal was doing all the cooking and preparation -- including the sushi. It seemed a bit harried and unorganized. Luckily, we were not in a rush when we stopped by for our lunch. They advertise on their storefront window their $15 lunch specials and also list them on the menu, so that's what my husband decided to get. He chose their sushi box. It came with soup or salad. I got a salad with one of their appetizers. The small salad that we both got was generous with iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, and a tiny tomato. We both chose their ginger dressing. The dressing came in a small plastic container and my container was barely half full. There wasn't enough dressing for the salad. I did request another container not realizing they would charge me for it. The price of the additional dressing was cheap enough (50 cents), but it would have been nice to get a full container to start with or to at least have been told that there would be a charge. We also requested another paper napkin (they gave us only one and there were none on the table) which we never received. My husband's sushi box had one fried spring roll, one fried crab Rangoon, 4 small pieces of a California roll and three pieces of sushi. He was still hungry after his lunch. After my salad, I had their salmon in a blanket appetizer. I'd gone online to see what this looked like. Online, this was shown as 5 triangles with a flat square of salmon wrapped in each piece of dough and even though it was an appetizer, it looked quite large. What I got was five little rolled up fried wonton wrappers with a touch of salmon inside. They were crispy and good with the sweet eel sauce, but way too small for a "meal" and a tad overpriced at $12. I'm glad we came to try them. Now we know. read more

Another fairly new Asian restaurant located in the Polo shopping center. Huge menu of sushi, Thai , and Japanese items. I tried the Thai Crispy Wings, chicken wing served with Thai sauce. Huge wings that lacked taste and flavor except for the Thai dipping sauce. Craving sushi for lunch today and stopped in to give this place a try.A bright and nicely decorated place with tables and booths. We took a booth and looked over the menu.I chose the Sushi Bento box which sounded like it would be enough. .. it fell short of the typical bento boxes I have enjoyed at other locations. The fish was fresh and good, just a bit sparse in portioning. My wife asked for extra napkins, (for her messy husband), but we never received them. It was New Years Eve and the nearby Italian restaurant that had our reservation for a group of twelve had overbooked and was not able to serve the large crowd of customers already in the restaurant. We noticed the nearby Saka Asian Kitchen had open tables. They are a take out restaurant with tables. We asked and they said they could accommodate us. They were outstanding! Food was very good, their attitude and service were excellent. They really went above and beyond. You do not find this kind of attitude and good food that easily. We all would recommend that you give them a try. The staff that evening were the owner and his wife and one other person in the kitchen. We will be back. read more

This restaurant is only been open for maybe two weeks. I must say they are really trying hard. We went there seven of us for dinner tonight. The chef actually came out and helped us with the menu to explain everything the food was very good. An Asian kitchen with sushi We had pineapple fried rice with tofu pie Thaidrunken noodles with tofu, delicious jackpot soup, nice large portions very hot when it comes out service was a little slow but they really are not fully equipped with help yet. I think this one is going to be successful. They seem to really care about making everybody happy we will be returning. Parking is easy. It's a big shopping center parking lot. Wow! Was on way to Publix by Clint Moore road and military trail. Saw this place, stopped and asked my wife to go in and grab a menu to go. It looked good so we skipped Publix and came in and gave it a shot...boy was that a great decision! So fresh, nice portions, amazing chef! A little hidden gem that is totally worth a try. Heard good things so thought I'd give it a try. Was redone and looks nice and open. We had wonton soup and the papaya salad then chili paste with chicken and tuna. From the soup to the main meal, each dish had a delicious flavor. I was truly impressed and I'm picky. There isn't one thing I would say needed an improvement. Wonderful use of spices and portions were just as good. Staff was really friendly. I'll definitely go back. If you like great food, give Saka a try! read more

We ordered take out yesterday to pick up after sports practice. The food was tastier than any Thai that I can remember having in years. And they had sushi which my daughter loves. We tried the papaya salad, red curry chicken, pad Thai, fries, and two sushi rolls. Everything was excellent and had so much flavor! We ordered the papaya salad medium. It was SO SPICY so be careful. This is an authentic Thai place and their medium is our hot I guess. I already am counting down the days until we can order from there again. This time I'll ask for mild seasoning on the salad. I ordered take out (Tom Kha Soup and Pad See Ew with chicken and extra vegetables). They were polite when I picked up the order. It was packaged well. However they gave me the wrong soup, and the noodle dish had barely any noodles. The vegetables were over cooked. Maybe it was a bad night for them. read more

If you're looking for great local family owned small business, Saka Asian Kitchen (Thai sushi) in the polo club shopping center is the place to go to. Newly opened and great service, you can tell the family truly cares about each one of their customers. We started off with the Dumpling dozen which we highly recommend. The sauce was a perfect pairing and each dumpling were moist and juicy. For dinner we ordered the Snow White roll (not pictured since we devoured it before we had the chance to document) - which was a spicy krab roll with seared white tuna spicy mayo and red tobiko which was fresh and delicious. To finish we ordered the Singapore noodles with beef and we ordered it extra spicy and it came out perfect just to our liking. Tender beef', flavorful noodles, and a curry sauce that was just to die for. We will definitely be back again soon read more

I went to Saka w a group of 15 people. We couldn't have been happier w the food. It was presented beautifully and will give you plenty of leftovers. The prices are exceptional considering Saka is located in the Pollo Club shopping center. You should put Saka on your list for your next try asian restaurant. read more

The food was good. The menu was enormous with all Asian foods. The service was very good. The decor was traditional.

I was in the neighborhood and decided to try this new restaurant. It was completely empty at 6:00 PM on a Sunday afternoon. That should have been a warning. I ordered the Panang Curry with Udon noodles (a favorite dish of mine) to go. I specifically told the woman to make it mild w/no spice. When I arrived home 20 min. later and opened the order there was NO Udon noodles; only white rice (I can't eat white rice). Since I was hungry, I tried the dish plain. OMG!!! It was so spicy that my eyes started to water and my mouth was on fire! This was from just one bite!!! I threw it in the garbage and hoped that it wouldn't start a fire! If you like your food EXTREMELY spicy and NOT made the way you ordered it then by all means eat there. As for me, I will stay FAR away from this restaurant!!! read more

Saka and her husband greeted us warmly immediately when we entered, seated us and made sure to explain items on the menu to us. The restaurant was very cute and cozy. I ordered the wrong noodle dish. Saka noticed and made sure to ask me if anything was wrong then proceeded to go the extra mile of letting me try a new dish (that I loved) after listening to what my preferences were. I've been searching for a good Thai restaurant in the Boca/Delray area. I still haven't found it. The food here was mediocre and the service was very poor. It was almost as if they had no experience. First of all, the menu is far too diverse. It's not really a Thai place. They serve Japanese, Chinese and fusion as well. I stuck to the Thai offerings, but they were far from authentic. Having lived in Flushing Queens and having made several trips to Thailand I know authentic and this ain't it. There were 4 of us so we ordered multiple apps. The first thing they brought was a sushi roll that we did not order. The waiter told us to keep it and then we were charged for it. OK, no big deal. Another app failed to arrive. We reminded them twice. It showed up after we finished the main course. Crabs for desert. My final complaint is that the staff did not know when to bus the table. We had to ask that it be done on two separate occasions. The second time, they moved us to another table that was clean. I admit that was creative. But if the place was busy the experience would have been much worse. Ambiance was "take-out with tables". Another reviewer called this a family business that truly cares about their customers. That I could see, but they just don't know how to run a restaurant. I'm afraid they won't last with the discerning Boca dining crowd. read more

Interesting dishes. Mostly Thai and Japanese. Chili Paste Chicken (Excellent, similar to Bluefin) Crab Soup (Excellent), Vietnamese style Fresh Rolls with ground chicken, shrimp, and other goodies (Excellent) It's a large menu and family-run restaurant so be patient. The owner is the Chef and she can cook. My father had the Red Curry which he enjoyed and a glass noodle dish with chicken which he enjoyed. read more

My husband and I went to this wonderful family owned Asian, Thai and sushi restaurant. Saka, is a mother and daughter owned restaurant that creates authentic cuisine. The menu has a large selection of food to choose from. I had a sushi sampler which was very fresh. My husband ate a Tropical Salad that he said was the best he every had. All the food is made fresh and was delicious. The service was personal and very friendly. The daughter came out of the back to see how our food was (which was amazing!). She was sooooo happy and grateful that we came and enjoyed the experience. This is a new restaurant in the Polo Shops by Clint Moore and Military Trail. It is open Monday - Sunday 11 AM- 3 PM and then 4:30 PM - 9 PM. I highly recommend trying it out. read more
