This place is by far one of the BEST sushi restaurants on Long Island. My cousin and I ordered takeout and could not have been more pleased. The lunch special is such a good deal!!!!!! $11.50 for 2 rolls, soup & salad?!?!?!?!!??! I actually didn't know the lunch special came with soup & salad and I was pleasantly surprised. I got the spicy tuna roll & yellowtail roll. Both were very tasty. The yellowtail roll was coming a part a bit, I think the sheet they used was too small, it just needed to be a bit longer to fully seal the sushi roll. They garnished the yellowtail fish with finely minced green onions. The spicy tuna was mixed with crispy rice. Which is kind of interesting, because I think they usually use panko. The salad was very nice and refreshing the salad was super crispy with small amounts of carrots & tomatoes, and the carrot ginger dressing was nice. This is the perfect thing to eat when it's 100 degrees outside. It was healthy, quick and very affordable! I waited a bit for the soup to cool down before drinking it. There were little bits of tofu & seaweed. I also saw that they have free delivery with a minimum order of $15. This small restaurant in the heart of Lindenhurst sticks out in the crowd because of how darn good it is. Went here with a large group of 9 people and we ordered and ordered and ordered. Everything was amazing and I mean amazing deff one of the best Sushi spots on Long Island. We spoke with the owner asked him about any off the menu good stuff and there were imported Waygu that he got in that day so we got that sliced and it was one of the best slices of meat I have ever had. We had yellow tail, oysters, Uni wrapped in toro and the list goes on and on with speciality rolls one thing better than the next. The service here was great and the waiter was really nice, I will say they can be slow but the food was so good it is worth the wait. Kabuki has become a new fan favorite for me being newer to this neighborhood. Today is #ThankYouThursday and I feel blessed that there is a great local business like Kabuki that serves up tasty, authentic, delicious Japenese bites no matter how big or small. The few times I have dined, I tried to pick a variety of different items so that I could truly get a feel of their menu. I haven't had a bad bite yet and still have a lot of the menu to try. So giving #Thanks to this local business that I know I can always rely on, and I believe the community would agree. Some TLo fan favorites are their Kani and Seaweed salads, Beef Negimaki, Vegetable Tempura & Sweet Potato Roll as appetizers. Then on the main entrée front I would highly suggest their Pink Lady Roll, Spicy Girl Roll and Lindenhurst Roll. There are so many more to try, along with sushi and noodle options and can't wait. We went there because we're looking to replace our favorite Sushi Bar for 25 years that closed during Covid (June 2020). It's been a disappointing journey so far. After 40 years of Sushi Bars, sadly most aren't Japanese owned anymore and something has been lost, and most that go for sushi are clueless because they've never experienced how it's supposed to be.. All I can say is Alice is a SWEETHEART! Kabuki has Truly HQ FISH and doesn't cut any corners. EVERYTHING was as it should be, including the Seaweed Salad and real wasabi.. Best part, because we only sit at the sushi bar for a reason... To have a relationship with the Sushi Chef and order what's best THAT DAY. Kabuki still does that. I HATE when sitting at a sushi bar and a waitress ONLY takes our orders and says EVERYTHING is good and don't talk to the Chefs. NOPE, Wrong Answer. They made it as we ate it, so the fish was cold and the rice was warm, as it's supposed to be, unlike when a whole tray finally gets to a table. BIG DIFFERENCE. And the Beer was COLD! And their prices are Very Fair, especially for the quality they provide. As well seasoned Sushi Snobs that know when it's being done right, this is the first place in 4 years that has sent us home completely HAPPY! I have been coming to this location for close to 10 years since their opening. Usually, I order take out. Spicy tuna rolls are my favorite. However, over the past couple of years, the spicy tuna was slimy and very soft where it was fall out of the roll without much manipulation. At times, the rolls are consistent, but lately, I have seen a decrease in the quality of the fish used. At times, I add avocado to the spicy tuna rolls, but the slimy fish is a different consistency than the smooth and soft avocado, which I immediately noticed the difference. The ambiance is quiet and quaint, ideal for catching up with friends, a first date, or simply grabbing lunch. To that point, I would highly recommend the lunch specials due to the value, such as, three rolls at a reduced price with soup and salad. read more

Nothing outstanding and certainly nothing lacking, but nothing extra either. Attentive without being annoying, which is good in my book. It's a very nice looking restaurant. I wanted to like it more because I have something I do weekly in the area and would have loved a local sushi place to put in the rotation. Great place great service very attentive and followed instructions also answered all questions when asked. I'm glad I chose this place in a whim without any planning or scheduling ahead of time. I had the spicy tuna cracker appetizer and spicy tuna gyoza both tasted great not too much sauce so I could taste the fish marvelous. I then ordered individual pieces all great sushi and sashimi the eel is great and their toro very creamy and fatty. I've heard so many good things about Kabuki recently that I knew I had to go in and check it out for myself. My fiancé and I arrived at 8pm on a Tuesday night. The place was practically empty, just one other patron finishing up his meal when we sat down. Our server was quick to bring hot tea, ice water, and hand towels to our table. After that we were given pickles as a house starter which was nice. We ordered 4 rolls to split and some assorted sushi and sashimi pieces. Everything came out quickly. What we ordered: spicy scallop roll, eel avocado roll, ocean roll, and sexy girl roll. Ocean roll had this strange mango sauce on top that had vanilla in it and it was a little off-putting to be perfectly honest. Vanilla and fish do not go together. Everything else was crazy delicious. I ordered 2 pieces of scallop sushi. So fresh and tasty. And a steal at $2.75 a piece. It's average $4 at other establishments so I was excited. Service was great and the place was clean. Portions were large, and even the sashimi pieces were cut thicker than I am used to. On our way out, after paying the bill, our waitress came by with a large bottle of sake as a holiday present to us to take home. It was so nice. Okay, I'm just going to say it, right off the top: I've eaten a few pieces of sushi before, at buffets and catered affairs. But this was my first time venturing into a "sushi restaurant." All I can say is, what have I been waiting for?! I loved it. We had some spicy tuna appetizers that the server brought us gratis. And then I ordered a volcano roll which was so delish. I had wanted to order and try more, but I was just full from what I'd had. Next time I'll try the tornado roll, the hurricane and some other disastrous weather that sounds yummy. read more

It pains me to say that this was horrible. I used to really enjoy my lunch here and ate here frequently. I ordered my dinner through uber eats and am incredibly disappointed in the food quality. These Philadelphia rolls were 95% avocado. Barely any salmon. Barely any cream cheese. Horrible! They got cheap with the ingredients. Philly rolls do not contain avocado which I hate btw. It's just salmon and cream cheese. Some places add cucumber. Avocado is not even listed on their menu for Philly rolls. I didn't eat these. What a waste of money. The seaweed salad wasn't even enough for a child. It was a little seaweed on top with decoration underneath to make it look bigger. Again, cheap. Idk what happened to this place but can they afford to go cheap now? When places are going out of business? I won't be ordering here again. Too bad bc they used to be outstanding. read more

Had dinner here this evening with my 3 year old daughter. We came here after I checked out the reviews on Yelp. The restaurant itself is pretty simple and clean. The waitress was a little rushy to take our order I was a bit surprised since there was only one other customer sitting at the table For appetizers I ordered the edamame and entree i ordered the kids hibachi salmon for my daughter, came with fried rice a small side of vegetables 1 shrimp and a small side salad. My daughter food was great she enjoyed it very much. I got the Godzilla roll which I believed was salmon with avacado and it was ( lightly fried) I also got a spicy salmon and tuna roll. My issue was with the Godzilla roll it came with 6 pieces for $12. I took a bite off the first one and wasn't pleased it had a weird rancid taste, I tried a second piece with some soy sauce thinking it would elevate the taste but that just made it worse. It could've been the oil it was fried with who knows. I told the waitress that I didn't like the roll and would like to get something else and it all went downhill from there. She was not happy she scolded me for eating 2 pieces and told me I can order something else but I still need to pay for the roll I don't like. Now I am reasonable I said I can pay half price for the 2 pieces are. She walked away started to talk to her other coworkers loudly not in English then had the manager came over to scold me all over again that if I didn't like the roll why did I eat 2 pieces By this time my patience had diminished and I did not want to lose my marbles in front of my daughter.
