This is one of hubbys and my favorite lunch spots. We have been coming here for a while. I like the consistency with the food, I always get the steak cooked medium. Hubbs gets the same and we will throw in pork dumplings and a spicy tuna roll every now and again but I will always get the steak. I like that you can serve your own sauce. The food is delicious. The tempura was crispy and light for the batter. The shrimp was sweet. They give you a choice of sauces, but you have to ask for them. The "teriyaki"sauce was not your typical flavor. It was a bit sweet with a hint of vinegar. The hibachi rice was simple nothing added to it which was great! Thee hibachi shrimp had a sweetness to it. Cooked just right and the hibachi steak was tender with broccoli vegetables sautéed in teriyaki sauce. The tempura vegetables were Broccoli, onion rings and large carrot ring and zucchini. Crispy tempura veggie were fresh. The prices are comparable. Sit in or take out. Clean restaurant and bathrooms.Nice People working there. read more

I tried this place for the first time since I've been living in Anderson. Everything went great. It was after lunchtime and before dinner do the restaurant wasn't busy. I ordered my food to go and didnt have to wait long to get it. I ordered the chicken hibachi and everything was really good. I have been missing going to Myabi Express in Easley but they closed about 3 years ago. I've been trying to find another Japanese restaurant that serves food like Myabi but no other restaurant has the same experience and the food at Myabi was always top notch. This restaurant comes very close but although it isn't the same, I think I will be back. They advertise that they have filet steak but when I asked about what kind of steak it was the server and the cashier didn't know. I asked if it was filet mignon but was told it was not. That was one of the things I loved to get at Myabi Express. I understand it costs more, but I'm willing to pay more to get it. read more

A quick eat with affordable food. They actually advertise a $1 "Sakura sushi roll" but I was too scared to try it. Some of the food was so cheap that it made me nervous thinking about what I was actually eating. All-in-all, I got a sushi roll & crab Rangoon. Both were surprisingly good. Great little place for takeout hibachi. Yes, ordering can be difficult and the parking lot is small, but they do a lot of volume out of this little store. As with all places post COVID, check your order before you leave, and be courteous to the people still choosing to work. read more

I like to eat here on my lunch break. The lady could not hear me through the plexiglass. She took my order wrong and I didn't not notice until I got back to work. I called and they let me know the best they could do would be to give me a side of vegetables, if I come back the same day. So, I am having to pick out all the zucchini and did not receive any veggies. I'm not really a picky person, but I would have preferred for them to remake it for me to pick up. I'd have cold chicken and hot veggies. I actually like their food though. My thing is if I should get what I paid and asked for. I did also leave a tip too. Just not satisfied with the customer service for this issue. I will make sure I check every time from now on. read more

I frequent this restaurant at least five times a week...but not anymore! I was just in there and was charged .20 cents for a small cup of water. I just happened to notice this because I was in yesterday and my order was the same but cost me more today. I have never been charged for water in this restaurant and when I questioned the cashier she stated " sometimes we do ...sometimes we dont ". I asked what made her charge me and she stated " I dont know" The manager or ( owner) was present and seemed to find humor in our conversation. There is an old saying and I'll tone it down for Yelp " screw me ?......no screw you". Food is always great and fairly quick. If you go at lunch on a weekday then you should expect long wait times as the line is sometimes to the door. Recommend to go orders if you are in a rush but you still have to wait in line to pick this up which defeats the purpose. All in all definitely give Sakura a try. read more

I went with my friend to have lunch. I ordered shrimp tempura with a side of eel sauce, a house salad and a medium drink. The cashier forgot to give me my cup at first and I had to ask for it. Then when my number was called I went up to get my food. Only the tempura was ready and I was told they were cutting lettuce for my salad. I was really disappointed in the presentation of the food but I decided to give it a try anyways. After one bite I decided the food was awful. The batter on the shrimp was the exactly the same as what you would get on McDonald's chicken nuggets and the eel sauce tasted like reduced soy sauce. I went to the counter to tell the cashier I didn't like the food and wanted my money back. He went to get the manager and I was told I could not have a refund no matter the reason because the shrimp was already cooked. I didn't argue and went to sit down and wait on my salad. When that came out I took a bite of it and the lettuce was room temperature. I threw my food out a decided I wouldn't be back. I wouldn't recommend this "restaurant" to anyone. Great food at a very good price! I've gone here several times and I've never been disappointed. I usually get the hibachi chicken with broccoli and rice with a Philly roll and crab Rangoon and I love it! There's plenty of food so I almost always have leftovers to eat a little later. I've also tried their spring rolls and they are always fresh and crispy! I definitely recommend this restaurant because everything I've tried there is always fresh and very flavorful! The staff is also very friendly and patient if it is your first time, and typically don't have to wait longer than 5 minutes for your meal. I'm a college student so this is a great "fast food" alternative as opposed to other restaurants that are similar. I'd recommend this place to anybody! read more
