First time visiting through the drive-through. The customer service was exceptional. The young lady gave me recommendations and was very nice. The cashier was also very friendly and it only took about five minutes from ordering until I got my food. Brought it home and was surprised at the portion size being as large as it was. The inside was clean and dust-free except for a lampshade, but I didn't think of that as a deal breaker. We came here after grocery shopping to get lunch to go and went with the chicken and shrimp hibachi for both of us. As someone who is unable to eat wheat, I inquired if anything was breaded and was told it wasn't, which is great. We ordered, the staff were pleasant and informative. So when you drive into the parking lot, it doesn't really look like they are open or busy. So my wife and I pulled in and we ordered the Steak and Chicken Teriyaki and the Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki. After talking with 2 patrons in the restaurant they assured me that this place was a very good choice. So after about 5 minutes our food was ready. So we both opened our styrofoam box and the steam came pouring out of the box as we opened it. There was SO much in the box. We both ate all of our meats, our vegetables and the rice that was left on the bottom was too much and we finished as much as we can. We were so full as we got up and walked out. My wife looked at me and said "I now know where we are going to be coming back to whenever we drive through Winchester again. I told her that I couldn't agree more!! This place is kinda hidden. But it's a rare gem. The food is amazing. I'm loving the sesame chicken and the egg rolls. The Hibatchi chicken is equally as good. Best yum yum sauce I've ever had. I don't live close. I'm about 60 miles away but it's worth the drive. And the prices are unbeatable. read more

Not bad, consistency seems to be an issue. Definitely one of the better "fast food" places in town. Nice to have the rice and green veggies in a fast meal in a smaller town. The meat can be over cooked sometimes, so i usually order teriyaki style which is covered in a sweet sauce. read more

This place was amazing!! So delicious, I got the steak and shrimp hibachi soo good. The portion size was huge. The prices are wonderful. The food was ready in 10 minutes so fast. The food was fresh and gluten free, didn't have to worry about getting sick. They have yum yum sauce that was made from scratch. I shared the plate with my spouse. Bravo for Winchester on getting a fast food Japanese Restaurant. They really dumbed down a menu concept that allows for fast friendly service. They offer hibachi with your choice of meat/veggies and rice or Soba noodles with your choice of meat/veggie. That for the most part is their menu. They do sell egg rolls and other items as sides but its all kind of straight to the point. I reluctantly stopped in here one night and was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean on the inside with the normal Asian decor and colors with a very friendly and smiling staff. My food was bagged and ready in just a few minutes with huge serving sizes. It was a thousand times faster than the McDonalds here. I have stopped here a couple times already and have not been disappointed either time. And they have a freaking drive thru. I really think this is approachable for those people who haven't ever had Japanese food. Good job guys. I am impressed. read more

Great addition to the Winchester area. I got the hibachi chicken for a little less than $7 and it was just as good as some of the hibachi places in Lexington which cost about $13 for the same meal! This place does not cook in front of you, but it is a great option if you are only concerned about tasty food, big portions, and a low price. Hopefully they stick around. read more

I love the vegetarian noodles: the veggies are fresh and it's loaded with mushrooms, zucchini, cabbage, broccoli, onions, and mixed between house noodles. The portions are generous for the price, and the spring rolls are not to be missed! A better (and healthier) option than traditional burger fast food joints for a quick meal in Winchester. The meat was prepared well the and the sauce resembled the taste of a Japanese sauce, but that's about all that was Japanese about this place other than some of the decorations. Large portion Japanese food for a reasonable price that tastes great and is quickly prepared (drive thru is available). I typically get the steak or chicken hibachi and the cuts of meat that they prepare are always of higher quality than other hibachi places I have gone to and are cooked just right. The soba noodles are a great option as well and while I have not tried the shrimp yet, but my coworker swears by it. If you are wanting something different than typical fast food, give Sakura a chance and you will not be disappointed. read more
