This was not our first time dining at a Qui Korean BBQ, but it was our first visit to the Gainesville location. Overall, we had a great experience! The ambiance and location were fantastic--modern, welcoming, and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail in the decor really set the mood and made it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. We arrived on a Sunday right before noon, and to our delight, there was no wait, which was a huge plus. The service was amazing--attentive, friendly, and efficient. The food, as always, did not disappoint. We opted for the AYCE option, and it lived up to the high standards we've come to expect from Qui. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection at the table. The only reason for the 4-star rating is the bathroom cleanliness. Unfortunately, on this day, the restrooms were not as clean as expected, and this was consistent across both the men's and women's bathrooms. Other than that small issue, everything was excellent, and we would absolutely recommend this location to others. We look forward to coming back!

TL;DR: Solid KBBQ spot with great options for meats/AYCE I have been to the QUI in Chantilly (not a fan) and Fairfax (my favorite one). Tried this location since we were in the area and craving KBBQ. The inside is spacious and well decorated with a nice bar area. The hostess and our server were a little awkward, but attentive and nice. I had told our server that I could cook our meats for us (out of convenience) since I have done it a lot throughout my life and did not feel like having to wait or worry about the meat burning, in case our server was busy. We did the AYCE with 1 premium option. My favorite meats: ~Fatty Brisket Plate ~Thick cut pork belly ~Spicy Pork Belly ~Prime LA Galbi Favorite sides: ~Fried Rice Cakes ~Beef Radish Soup Would I come all the way out here for this location specifically? No. Would I come here again if I were in the area? Yes.

Went here with family, including my in-laws, brother-in-law, and his family with three kids, after some Black Friday shopping. We needed a meal before heading home after a long Thanksgiving, and this place was perfect. It wasn't too crowded, and they were able to seat us with two BBQ grills. We went for the AYCE BBQ, which had great options. The server did an excellent job preparing the food for us and checked in regularly. We tried the bulgogi, and while the kalbi and some specials were extra, the base options like pork belly, seafood, and chicken were all solid. They also offered sides like steamed egg, creamy corn, and traditional banchan. Since we had kids, and there wasn't a kids' menu, we grabbed pizza from a place across the street, and they allowed it without charging for the kids--super accommodating. Overall, it was a great dining experience!

Went here for my birthday last Saturday, May 11, 2024. I've tried a lot of the Korean barbecues around the area up to Centerville and this was by far the best one I've had yet! The quality of the meats in the marinades fantastic! The beef and pork Bulgogi, the honey butter squid, the brisket and the top blade steaks were all phenomenal! Just like every Korean barbecue restaurant I've been in. It was very loud however, the atmosphere and surrounding was very nice. The service was also also excellent! I will definitely visit this restaurant again and I would recommend you do so as well!

3rd Qui location we've been to (Gainesville). One of my favorite. Went on a Thursday, 7pm, not too busy. Got a free pint of beer for tagging them on social media! Meat is always good, though sometimes the spicy options are consistent (sometimes too spicy, sometimes not). Staff is nice, venue is nice (opened 4 months ago).

Bottom line: this is good location with a fun atmosphere. The food good quality, bountiful, and flavorful. We will return in the near future. Overall the experience was good. The restaurant is a little understaffed which slows service. The price point is above average for Korean BBQ in the area (centerville & manassas) but is the only location in Gainesville which makes it an easy decision for locals.

The food in this kbb is AWESOME. The waiter was really nice and was really generous. the ambiance was good and was chill

2 meat orders on the grill, limited veggie side dishes, 2 aluminum dishes on the grill are the steamed egg dish- come out cold

Came here finally! Bday celebration for a lunch and we opted for the AYCE. All the meats were good. Waiter came and were attentive and felt they came out several times when we were ready for another order. Everyone in the family eats and tries to maximize their orders with the time limit they have. I feel like I can't talk when I come with eaters like this. Their one mission is to eat now talk later. Not as much side dishes as So BBQ in Centerville (is our go-to place). No dessert- Korean rice drink like you get at the other place either. Steamed egg dish can get on the side is also better at So restaurant (here I believe it's frozen as they had to heat it up on the grill before we ate it- at the other restaurant it comes out steaming hot in a hot clay pot. Overall may come back again but I have a feeling I'll be out numbered and may end up back at So BBQ.....!

We went here at 4 PM for dinner and it wasn't crazy packed like the Qui in Chantilly is around this time (it definitely picked up by the end of our meal). Ambiance was also much more relaxed than other KBBQ places (music wasn't blaring to the point that you can't hear the person across from you). We did option #3 AYCE and it was great and worth the price. Our favorites were the cumin pork belly, bulgogi, and thin sliced brisket. The beef radish soup was surprisingly delicious; The well balanced broth was comforting on a cold day. The steamed egg was just okay. The food tasted great but our server Jessica was absolutely wonderful and truly made the experience stellar. She was attentive, anticipated our needs, and she actually grilled our food for us. I find that at most places, you end up grilling your own meats because it gets so busy. She switched out our grills regularly, refilled our sauces, even offered to bring my toddler more rice when she noticed she finished her first bowl. We will definitely be coming back. So glad to have a KBBQ place much closer to home.

Very expensive for what you get and it's not real Korean barbecue. The one in the MANASSAS mall breakers is much better.

Omg so many thoughts on this experience…read more I'm so glad i didn't immediately know it was a restaurant located in a hotel. This prob would have deterred me, even a little bit. The Apple map directions here confused me a little due to this, but parking was really plentiful so that's a huge plus! I went on a Sunday morning and lo and behold there was a hole farmers market or pop up set up all through haymarket! Busy weekend for a brunch but haymarket is SUCH a cute little vibe and town with so many hidden gems, like this one!! Literally every single item I saw waiters bring out from the kitchen looked so scrumptious, every person around us immediately began digging in and enjoying their meals...and honestly, no crumbs were left behind pretty much every time. We started ordering a yummy cocktail. I was really in the mood for the Paloma with grapefruit juice but sadly they were out of grapefruit juice fortunately, they had plenty cocktails available that were not explicitly on the menu! I ended up having a delicious espresso martini, prepared, right and honestly, I would have had another!! Not too sweet. Not creamy. And with 3 beans. Impeccable no notes. I ordered the red House breakfast. Man those home potatoes were so delicious....they clearly cooked them seasoned deliciously and then flash fried, so crunchy!!!! Amazing. I found that their execution on their meals was really impressive. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly and paired so yummy with the toast. The bacon had delicious flavor too. I ordered a biscuit because I had heard that their biscuits were really yummy but unfortunately they did not have their bacon biscuit so it was just a classic biscuit. It was good, certainly dense and clearly homemade. My girlfriend got the poutine. Looked so delicious and was really enjoyed! The gravy was thick and flavorful! We sat down and enjoyed plenty of conversation and a really nice environment. Nobody rushed us, service was just the right amount of attentive without interrupting conversation constantly, and the floor to ceiling windows let in beautiful natural light and views of the town. It was the perfect brunch spot for a low-key, but delicious meal. Just a hair out of the way without being too far. I came out with a really good friend of mine to celebrate my one year wedding anniversary with her and it was the perfect possible location. Shout out to the staff for being so welcoming and kind, and even taking a picture of us when we asked to commemorate the occasion. I'm sure they are used to people walking in to the hotel lobby looking as confused as I was looking for red House Tavern.

The food was average at best when it came out. Super disappointed. We came here for my mom's 5 year beating cancer anniversary and it wasn't much of a celebration.

I liked that you could request music to be played but you did have to download an app and sign up for it. The music was also uncomfortably quiet. Like hard to hear even though it wasn't loud in there. After sitting down we immediately ordered the bacon cheese fries. I love the self serve because I got to try a few things, I also love that there were a lot of non beer options! I originally got a cocktail at the bar which the bartender made because I love watermelon schnapps and it was well priced. Next I tried the pineapple cider and it was delicious. Me and my sister also got some green tea shots from the wall which were delicious. We also tried the walls blue Hawaiian which was good but I'd prefer it over ice. After almost an hour of waiting for our food we got nervous it wasn't coming so I went and asked at the bar. As the girl was checking, they came out. We had to ask for the side of ranch that was supposed to come with them and I'd I'm glad I did because it was delicious, tasted like it was made in house. Now the fries were burnt and not good. At this point we'd waited so long and wanted to head over to the venue so we just ate them. Over all I would definitely go back for the drinks, maybe bring a game to play but I wouldn't come here for the food. Especially if there's a concert that night nearby.

Stereotypical decor and menu, Grains and Grog stood painfully empty on a Saturday afternoon playing music nostalgic to anyone who graduated high school before 2010. I ordered a Manhattan. Hallway through, looking down at the bottom of the glass, I saw two tiny flies floating at the bottom. As disgusted as one can reasonably be, I asked for another one to be made (why I bothered, I can't say. Maybe it was because I had already drank half). I found another small fly in the second before the server left the table. Another fly in the third as well. We didn't finish our meals for obvious reasons. They brought us the check, discounted the manhattans and 50% the check, though I didn't feel I should have paid anything. After paying the check, they said it was a mistake. They brought us the wrong one and would void the sale. The "correct" check they brought us was the full meal sans the 3 botched manhattans. We won't be going back
