She let us know we were covered to choose from a couple different cars, talked to us about each one, and helped us make a decision. She was very friendly and professional. The two stars are that the cars are clean and drivable. I've subtracted two stars because the location is basically impossible to reach unless you're physically on site. They text you a message saying, "hey if you need anything reach out here". But then they don't respond to it. If you call them, it just endlessly rings and you hear the message saying location is busy we'll get back to you soon, and after about 12 minutes it hangs up on you. Another star is subtracted, because they make you wait so long to get in your vehicle once you've checked in. At any other Enterprise location I rented from, they check you in, and you're in the car in a couple minutes later. This location typically you have to wait 10 to 15 minutes before they even will talk to you after the check-in (and that usually takes some time also). And probably risking retaliation by posting this before my car rental is returned to them. Biggest Advantage this location has, is that it is in my neighborhood, but it might be worth driving a little further to find something else. read more

I'm being required to pay a deductible when I was rear ended although they have the insurance information for the guy who was at fault. The Price of My Kids' Safety? Apparently Just 25% Off a Rental. Enterprise handed me a 2025 Ford Expedition MAX that had a critical brake failure halfway through my trip. Warning lights lit up, and the brakes started locking violently at low speeds, jerking the car to a stop like I was slamming on them. I had my kids in the car. It was terrifying. I contacted support and was sent to a local branch, where I waited over 2 hours just to be told they had nothing comparable. I ended up in a minivan, a clear downgrade from what I paid for. Transferring all my gear, waiting, and dealing with this issue cost me over 3.5 hours of my time. When I returned the car, the assistant manager offered me $83 off. I was shocked. That's the value they put on: A dangerous mechanical failure Putting children at risk A class downgrade Wasting half a day dealing with it After pushing, they offered 25% off, or about $135. That's it. That's what the safety of my family, lost time, and broken promises are worth to them. What made it worse? The assistant manager told me Enterprise isn't liable for defects in the vehicles they rent, and mentioned that the car had only been rented three times before me. That's incredibly concerning. If a nearly new vehicle is already having brake failures and Enterprise claims they aren't responsible then who is? That kind of statement shows zero accountability and raises serious questions about their maintenance standards and fleet safety procedures. The branch manager was on-site but refused to speak to me. I was told he would follow up. Still waiting on a call back. Enterprise didn't just fail, they tried to put a discount sticker on a potential tragedy. I recently visited the Enterprise location on Redondo and Gardena after being cleared by my insurance to rent a car. I had been feeling stressed due to a recent accident, so I was eager to secure a rental. However, my experience was disappointing due to both the limited car selection and the behavior of the staff. There were only a few cars within my budget, including a Chevrolet Malibu that wasn't clean and had a strong odor, and a white Dodge Charger. After some indecision, I decided on the Charger, but when I went to finalize the selection, the car was given to someone else. I had already been waiting for an hour and felt frustrated, but I remained calm and polite. When I expressed my disappointment to the manager, Hector, he was dismissive and condescending. He insisted that it was "first come, first serve," but failed to inform me of this policy earlier, leaving me unaware of the process. I asked if the fee for a more expensive car could be waived, given the lack of communication, but Hector was not accommodating. His response was rude, and he implied that the financial impact of waiving the fee would come out of his pocket, which I found unprofessional. However, I want to acknowledge two employees who were incredibly helpful during my visit--Jackie and Mayowa. They were both attentive and patient, and their professionalism stood out in stark contrast to Hector's behavior. Unfortunately, employees like them will never thrive in an environment with a dismissive and condescending manager like Hector. What upset me most was Hector's unhelpful attitude, as well as his dismissive and negative demeanor. I've been a loyal Enterprise customer for years, and I've never been treated this poorly before. I have always appreciated the customer service at Enterprise, especially at other locations, such as Encino, where the staff is consistently courteous and professional. Unfortunately, after this experience, I was forced to pay an additional $200 out of my pocket, on top of the hold for the rental, because there were no available cars within my original budget. I had to make the payment quickly because I needed to return to work, and I ended up with a car that wasn't my first choice. Given the poor customer service and lack of communication, I will no longer be returning to this Redondo/Gardena location and would advise others to consider alternative branches if they want a positive customer experience. It's unfortunate that a manager like Hector, who demonstrates such unprofessional behavior, continues to lead this location. read more

Even on super busy days/times, staff have always been helpful, communicative and nice to me. When I first checked in at the Gardena, CA. office, "Jackie" was the rental agent who assisted me. She was very attentive to what I needed and asked for. I was blessed to be rented a VW Atlas. This was such an amazing vehicle to drive. Jackie had a wonderful personality and she was an absolute pleasure to interact with. If I ever need another rental, I'll definitely want to do business with, Jackie. She has leadership qualities that should be recognized. When I returned the VW Atlas back to the Gardena,CA location, I was quickly greeted by "Anna". Anna directed me to the return lane and greeted me with a big friendly smile. She was pleasant and helpful. She checked the fuel level and outer and interior conditions of the car. When she was done, she explained the billing process and promptly emailed me a receipt. The attitude towards customers was unpleasant, and despite my request for a Toyota RAV4, they kept insisting on renting out AUDI Q5, Q7, or BMW 5 Series, lying to me in the process. They claimed that all vehicles except for two AUDIs and one BMW were reserved for Monday, and although there were six Toyota RAV4s in the parking lot, most were apparently booked and one is needed an oil change.. When I agreed to wait for one that supposedly needed an oil change, they suddenly declared it unavailable due to damage to the glass and bumper. I couldn't believe it, so I checked for myself, finding no damage to either. They then cited a minor dent in the trunk as a liability issue, refusing to rent it out. Feeling compelled to settle for an Audi Q5, I discovered damage to its bumper. I questioned why damage to Audi bumpers seemed acceptable while a minor dent on a Toyota RAV4 caused liability issues. However, all I received was another lie, claiming the bumper was fine but the trunk wasn't. As someone working in automotive engineering, I know the dent posed no problem for vehicle operation. In the end, I had to go to another Enterprise location to finally get the car I wanted. Money wasn't the issue due to the fact that my insurance's rental car coverage is $90 per day, but their insistence on renting out expensive cars to me, coupled with their willingness to resort to lies, left me infuriated with their customer service. I wouldn't want to set foot in that place again, ever. In the future, if I have an accident, no matter how far it is, I will definitely visit a different location. read more

They will inform you that they have plenty standard cars available, and when you get there 15 minutes later, it's a different story. They will inform you that this particular size car is no longer available, and then they will try to up sale you on a rental car that's more expensive. Had a small issue with one of their smaller Nissan car, brought it in and the situation was taken care and I was given a bigger Nissan. Place was busy on a Saturday so get there early if renting. Wow, the folks here at this Enterprise shop are all wonderful! I had a fender-bender, and while my car was getting repaired, I rented a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Gardena. First, I took my pickup truck to Caliber Collision down the street in Gardena since they are also contracted with my auto insurance. (The service there was fantastic, too!) So, no joke, Enterprise picked me up, just like the commercials say. But even better than that was the man who picked me up was super, super patient! It took me a while to read all the fine print on the body shop's service contact, and the man from Enterprise didn't make me feel rushed at all. When he took me from Caliber to Enterprise, he drove very safely and was kind and polite. I had called ahead and requested a pickup truck. They confirmed that I wanted a full size one. I said it didn't have to be full size, so they got me one with kind of a short bed. Turned out that I didn't know that not being full size meant it would have a shorter bed. Not their fault at all. You'd think that since I own a full size pickup truck I'd know that! Live and learn! The truck they gave me was fun to drive even if it was too short to transport my 9' surf board. Again, not at all their fault. It was a GMC. The young lady who did the pre-rental walk-around with me was also very patient. She explained what counts as normal wear and tear and what counts as damage. She was very patient while I took pictures and videos of the vehicle during the walk-around. The gas was almost at the full line, so that was convenient. The truck was very clean, ran perfectly, and was fun to drive. They also made sure that I got a nice vehicle that was within the rates my car insurance would pay for. I am pretty sure that since they have an agreement with Connect Insurance by American Family (through Costco), that Enterprise charged me a discounted rate. I was super happy that I didn't have to drive a bucket or a tiny tin can around while my own vehicle got repaired. They even washed the rental truck right before giving it to me. The only thing I had to do was replace the gas I used. When it was time to pick up my repaired truck from Caliber Collision, they allowed me to leave the rental car at Caliber Collision. A day or two later, I picked up my receipt from Enterprise, and I was not charged anything extra. read more

A few days ago, my car got rear ended on the freeway. My car got totaled due to frame damage, but I came out unscathed. After squaring away everything with the insurance company and getting a tow, I would up at this Enterprise in Gardena. After checking out their selection, I opted to go with the SUV. The Enterprise people took care of all the paperwork, had the car inspected and cleaned, and had me on my way in a relatively short period of time. In fact, this all happened while I went to get lunch, which took me about ten minutes (I eat fast). The staff was all super friendly, attentive, and efficient. I would recommend them for rental car needs. Now all I need to worry about is the car buying process. But I like car shopping, so no worries there either ;-) read more

Got a car from them for 25 days via my insurance as I was involved in an accident. My insurance had great daily limits, and Enterprise went an extra step ahead and provided a complimentary upgrade to Maserati Ghibli, which became an instant sensation in my neighborhood.
