People love this place I see. It has a wide selection of food from Asian to American foods. You pay as soon as you enter, all you can eat and it has plenty of seating. Buffet style, they keep the food coming in hot. They also have a sushi section and a Hibachi section. Great for small parties or large groups because they have a separate section to host big groups or events. They serve fountain drinks and boba teas. So if you like buffets, it's decent. I like a more upscale dinning style but the space is great for children and affordable.

Hey everyone, I'm from out of town I'm just visiting family here but we went to this place and I saw the grill area was very dirty. While I was there I saw none of the staff make and effort to clean up. The food took a while just to cook too, there was a long line. I'd stay away from this place.

If I could give less stars, I would. 53$ for two people is ridiculous for this place. Mother's Day today was so crowded and they claimed they had crab legs and lobster. The lobster was like chewing on an eraser and the crab legs tasted like a salt lick. The sushi sucks and you would think the bathrooms would be usable. None of the stalls locked and it was disgusting. This place is horrible. Should've went to McDonald's.

Decent food for a decent price. Nothing here that I would purposely drive out of my way for, but it's okay if I'm in the area and just want to eat a buffet for a good price.

The food here is one of the better places in a buffet type setting. Service was not too bad either.

Good Japanese buffet at great price. It's not the best but for the value it is good.

It's a cheap, well maintained buffet. Nothing bad to say and the sushi is worth it alone. Go hungry, leave full.

Ask the Community - Sakura Seafood and Supreme Buffet

Do they use MSG in their food?

Being that it's a Chinese restaurant, probably so. I didn't ask when I went there, but I'm sure there are probably things you can choose without MSG. I'd call & ask :)

If you don't want a lot of oil, fine -- focus on the fresh-made sushi and the Hibachi pick-your-own-ingredients grill.

Kanpai is in a prime place along Rockville Pike, but depending on when you go you may find easy parking. (If you're not bothered about where to park, ignore what I just said.) Out front there's something that looks like a tuk-tuk or rickshaw. Tbh, don't know if it's theirs or the business next door. The restaurant itself is clean and elegant. Also, not as loud as some Korean BBQs (thinking of KPOT off of Randolph Rd), which is important if you don't like being overwhelmed by everyone else's noise. That is one big '+' in Kanpai's favor. The waiter was cool and very helpful. Because of him I now know what the thin meat slices are meant for (which is for the soup), before then I had no clue. The food itself is good. Like, why wouldn't it be? I actually prefer the shabu-shabu (soup), makes me wish I knew how to do that myself so I wouldn't have to go out as much. Yes, the grill meats were great, as was the kimchi. These places are not cheap, but it was enjoyable while I was there. If you're not in a rush you can go a few doors down afterward to an import store selling everything from K-chips to puzzle-kits. So I would say...take your time. But don't warm your seats for more than 90 minutes, as Korean BBQs tend to kick people out (nicely, nicely) if one overstays. P.S. I'm sure they have some great drinks there, but even if I wanted to I couldn't loiter. That's what Bethesda is for. (Or at least how it used to be.)

Our server, Kelley, was great. She explained how everything works here. The buffet is pretty extensive and you can get full from that alone. They have an option to just do the buffet (during lunch hours). There is a good selection of meats. there's a robot here that brings stuff to the table - pretty cool. We were stuffed! It's a bit pricey but was worth it. I would visit again.

I had been here several years back with my sister but finally made it in again with my husband…read more Now that we live nearby hopefully we will come more often. You have a choice between AYCE or by the pound. I know last time I came I got AYCE but honestly I don't eat that much anymore, so by the pound is more cost effective for me. There also are two different prices based on whether you want BBQ + sushi with your buffet. (Sushi??? I'll stick to BBQ when going Brazilian.) I tried to sample small amounts of the dishes on the buffet and then got some picanha and another steak cut (maminha). Both BBQ cuts were very good - I liked the maminha more. (Fraldihna is my usual favorite, and it's kind of similar to the maminha.). They had a chicken with capers that was probably my favorite of the buffet dishes. The stroghanoff wasn't bad. Some of the other meat dishes on the buffet were a bit dry. I got a mystery empanada which turned out to be guava & cheese, if it had been warmed it would have been better. I love guava, but there was just a little small rectangle of guava paste in the very center; probably 80% of the empanada had no filling. Similarly, the cheese bread balls were cold and hard. Those need to be right out of the oven to be worth it. It's a shame, they probably were good when they were first made but they weren't by the time I got to them. The potato salad was ok but the balance of mayo to potato & other veg was off (too much mayo). I had some fresh fruit too. All in all, I'd definitely come back (I love the steak!) but I'd focus on the things I know are good rather than trying a lot of things.

There are other places to enjoy Brazilian food where customers receive much better attention and better food.
