Me and my husband got up to get our food and came back to sit down our plates and beverages were gone... we hadn't even been there for longer than 20 mins. We let it go because maybe it was just a mistake but then we got up for more food and yet again when we were coming back she was cleaning our table and taking our bevs again... and not even 10 mins before that we had just asked for more plates. This is the worst place I have ever eaten. We've all almost finished...we got our own drinks and refills from the girl behind the counter...we still don't have a server...I went to the front and told them all of this and to not bother giving us one because any kind of tip would be inappropriate at this point. I have cleared the dishes from our table. My son was asked to sit down for "disturbing the table behind us" when all he did was come back from the bathroom complaining that there was s#!÷ everywhere in the stall and could I please take him next door. I stopped at this Golden Corral the other day. The service was pretty good. She kept my drink refilled. They have tons of seating. I arrived during breakfast, but it was close to lunch so I got to experience both meals. I wish Golden Corral in general would offer some non-pork breakfast options. But, I do eat bacon so I enjoyed that. The grits were good, just needed salt and pepper which I added. They also had cubed hash browns in addition to the shredded kind. I also appreciate the salad bar being open during breakfast time. They didn't have any Parmesan cheese; hopefully they put some out for lunch or dinner. read more

Golden Corral gets it done every time! Can't go wrong with the catfish. It's always fried so well. The cornbread is just the right amount of sweet and really moist. The fried chicken has that down south, home-fried kinda taste. The sweet potato casserole is sweet and creamy. End it all with a few sweet treats and you're in buffet heaven. Get the bread pudding. You'll thank me later. Shoutout to Sussy who despite the self-service nature of a buffet checked in just the right amount of times without being intrusive, made sure our drinks were refilled and plates cleared. read more

First things first? I rarely give bad reviews, rarely but this place needs a lot of attention. The customer service? was the worst I've ever received in a long time. I mean they all seemed annoyed when I would ask nicely about silverware or when our drinks would arrive. Not a smile from anyone besides the man in the blue button up that was dancing to a song playing from the speaker. I think he was the manager. But the staff looked miserable. Food? I was barred from this establishment indefinitely on Dec 20, 2024 accused of stealing food on Dec 13, 2024. I have my receipt to dispute this allegation and it was presented to the Corporate Office. After speaking to them on 2 separate occasions, I emailed them my receipt 1/13/2025 and even visited on 1/15/2025 and have a copy of that receipt. Additionally, no one in management has yet to speak to me about this alleged incident. After speaking to Kenny Newman (Regional Mgr) and Melanie Corsage (HR) from the Corporate Office, the only thing was said that the decision remained the same. (Guilty before proven innocent even with evidence) I have been a long time customer of this establishment and it wasn't about the food, it was about the awesome staff and the camaraderie with some amazing customers that I've had the pleasure of meeting. I am demanding an explanation and/or apology for the false allegations that have been spoken against my character. I have never had any issues with anyone in this establishment yet I am barred. I would be a fool to steal food, put it in a bag and walk out the door right past security. This is a very packed location. There was a lon line when I went. The staff was nice, though. Especially our waitress, Keisha. But the downside is that because it's so popular, it's very chaotic and can get messy quickly. That's not on the staff, that's more because of the patrons. Especially the Largo Location.... I have non-visible disabilities... I enjoy the butterfly shrimp I enjoy the fried chicken I enjoy the coconut cream pie but the crust.... maybe just use golden grahams instead of the weird crust. It could be better overall. The other regular fried shrimp, looks like the shrimp from the cup of noodles. Just take that out and please add steam shrimp and shrimp fajitas. They can have steak fajitas/ chicken & veggie fajitas too. I got a chance to try some of my favorite such as the fried cat fish and sweet yams. I had a lot of dessert. Service was slow but the waiters were kind. Went here for a Mother's Day late lunch/early dinner. I must say that for a popular buffet that has something for everyone, this place does have an interesting ambiance that you will not experience anyplace else. It has been a very long time since my last visit here and today was a test of taste, variety and patience. The staff did their very best to greet and make everyone feel welcome as though you were invited to a special seat close to the very kitchens were all the food is being prepared. The staff carried small communication devices to keep the chaos under control. The food was very good and I was satisfied with the seasoning and availability when I went to the lines for my selections. To watch how a buffet staff coordinates the dance of preparing, presenting and keeping the serving lines clean and visually appealing is not easy to do. BIG thanks and appreciation to everyone who worked on Mother's Day! Patrons are a show unto themselves! Let's start with experience aka hospitality. 0 stars for disrespect and potty mouths. No questions, " is this your first time here" and directions on how the place is run. Like seat yourself and new plates are given, etc. As we looked around and pretty clueless because no directions or clarification was given, most of the tables were not bussed. This is where a manager or front staff should chip in. In my party, there were 3 seniors therefore, I have to rush quickly for a table and seats. Of course one is handicapped and a seat must always be accessible for these guests. I cleared one table and got scolded for it by the waiter. She later tried to sugar coat by saying I appreciate it but I'll get in trouble. If that is a fear, again the managers should get fired! No person should ever feel nor say that. Says a lot about management. Now the waiter, wow. Awful and could pass for a discriminating person because the things that came out of her mouth. And the way she spoke to me, excuse miss but I am born in the nation's capital with a very mix family and grew up in an English speaking family. So don't talk to me like I don't speak English or muted. She so rude to the point she loudly told the table next to us, that they are the best table because they're so patient. I have never eaten at Golden Corral before. I was in the area and decided to stop in. There were a number of vegetables as well of cut fruit available along with a salad bar. That is always a plus for me. I was very taken aback by the conditions of the ladies room. It needs a deep cleaning. There was green corrosion around the pipe of the toilet that I used. The small trash can in that stall and others was overflowing. The floor needed to be swept. The walls were spotted. This shows a level of neglect that means I won't go back. read more

First things first, this is the newest setup I have ever been to in all the GCs I have been fortunate to ENJOY myself at. The walk-in and order queue is the same but soft drinks/tea are now via take home cup. That takes the bite off the +$3 beverage IMO. You'll then notice gloves at every station that is required for handling serving utensils. The night I was there (Saturday) it was heavily enforced. You'll see the master grill right in the center of all the action, prepping your next steak, with additional hot bar items (think some of the best chain fried chicken you've had) and the current promotion (currently seafood). The salad bar is to the far right (various types of greens, toppings, and cold salads available) while dessert to your far left (cookies, pies, cakes, ice cream and ICEE machine!). Everything I had was good. My steaks were cooked just like I was asked and seasoned to perfection. Fried chicken was probably the best I'd ever had at GC. They're doing it right at this one, trust me. It was so good I wish I'd come last month when they had the buffalo wing promo. I can only imagine how solid their wings were... Also, don't sleep on the mashed potatoes, chili, sliced ham, pot roast or sausage w/peppers. The salad bar was ripe with spoiled greens (spinach was the worst) and had empty tray after tray of toppings. I'm glad I like beets cause I had my pick of all the beets! No croutons, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms... Look, I go to town on my salads, but this night had me stuck in the 'burbs. -1. How about desserts? Well, admittedly, it was the worse than the salad bar. There were only oatmeal cookies (not many) available nor banana/chocolate/vanilla puddings, only empty tins. Same goes for the ice cream toppings. Thankfully the hot fudge and caramel pumps had some left. This issue was from the time I did my first *walkthrough till I left. Oh, and for cakes/pies? Only one restock of the following: black and white cake (fantastic), OG carrot (staple), chocolate cake (skip), vanilla cake (skip), and cherry pie (decent). The latter, cherry pie, I watched said restock come out of a box they were in no rush to open. I noticed many just standing at the dessert bar hoping to get noticed, empty plate in hand. I know that look and it was rather difficult to see. -2. My brother and I were thankful for our server and tipped her rightfully so. She was on top of our drink and plate refills, pleasant in her demeanor and prompt on cleaning our table so we could enjoy our seconds. +1. Could have been an off night? No idea. With seemingly easy to fix shortcomings (buffet out of food?), I can't recommend nor discourage you from visiting this particular GC. When paying for the cashier was so rude and spoke to me as if I didn't understand English. Later when we found a table we cleaned it up ourselves and even had to chase down a waiter to get our drinks and silverware. He continued to ignore our table and helped everyone else. My husband and I had to wait for 10 minutes to get clean plates and the waiter assigned to our table didn't even pick up our dirty plates or came to ask if we needed anything. Mind you I have a 1 year old and a 3 month old with me. The food was tasteless and unappetizing. The meat was burnt and the cooks were rude as if they didn't want to be there. A complete shit show! My issue and reason for low review is, once I went to get my food for myself and nephew. The guy that was restocking the food said to me that I needed to get gloves which wasn't a problem. He comes over to me and says ma'am, sir, or whatever you are... I'm sure he clearly knew I was a female and if not then when I acknowledged him he should have just told me I needed the gloves. Absolutely terrible. If a restaurant is bad, then it is either the service or the food. In this case, it is both. When we got to the front counter to pay, the host was not professional on top of that after we payed we were not given plates and were not instructed on what to do. Instead we had to find our way. We stayed at a nearby hotel for football travel team. The cashier was awesome. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Most food options were little to none, then their no utensils so you have to wait for your wait staff to get it for you which made the food colder than it was.
