    It's fan-tastic!

As my local sushi place, they check all the boxes. The sushi is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is always friendly. The menu is extensive with dining options for those non-sushi eaters. The Japanese and Korean food is on point and fills your appetite. I strongly recommend coming before 8pm as the restaurant tends to fill up on Friday nights.

Sakura is a great option when looking for a Japanese restaurant. The menu has lots of options for everyone. Nigiri, specialty rolls, regular rolls and even noodles and ramen. Everything was super fresh and portions are big. Also they have Like half portions so you can try more things in one seating. We had the gym roll which was very tasty, a riceless roll which was very good and of course a lot of Nigiri. Also wanted to try the octopus sunomono to start and again... it was fresh and perfect. If I had to say a bad thing it would be that some of the octopus pieces were to big. (Not exactly a bad thing) but difficult to eat. Service was impeccable, our waiter Gabo was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend coming here!

Love the sushi and prices here. Service is good too. They have Thai and Korean options too. They have amazing spicy edamame. The fried bagel, spicy tuna and Kendall rolls are my favorites.

If you want to enjoy some delicious hearty sushi rolls definitely come to this Spot in the heart of West Miami on 57 ave. I have been coming here for years , since it always so fresh. Today we ordered the Madonna roll since its one of my favorites ! Along with a Thai Tea ! Come check it out

Hidden gem in between west Miami and coral gables! I always come here for pad Thai - it's packed with so much flavor with the perfect balance of peanuts, fish sauce, and oyster sauce. Additionally, their miso soup is one of the best I've had!

What a time for restaurants... not! I was really feeling sushi the other night and after a friend recommended Sakura, I decided to order take-out. Warning: I was super hungry at the time of this order so don't judge me on the amount of food I consumed! :) The ginger dressing that is on the side salad is something I've never had at a Japanese restaurant before. It has a garlic taste to it and I absolutely loved it! The I got two pieces of the steamed shrimp shumai, which were really good and came with a tangy ponzu sauce. I also ordered three roles: kappa, salmon crunch, and minion. The kappa is just cucumber but really great; the minion roll was delicious but it comes with jalapeños and a jalapeño soy sauce (kinda spicy!); and lastly, the salmon crunch roll was to die for as it was huge, full of flavor, and topped with crunch and eel sauce. The restaurant was eerily quiet but everyone was busy putting together orders. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and taking sanitary precautions. Great place to pick up lunch (apparently they have an excellent lunch option) or dinner!

Wow. Just WOW. Probably one of thee best sushi experiences I've ever had. Although they are a really tasty wonton Soup away from perfection, that will not stop me from coming back here. Let me get this out of the way. You NEED, to get the Buffalo Shrimp Roll & the Volcano Roll. Me and my friend Mike were just flabbergasted when we tasted the Buffalo Shrimp Roll. I mean, it's unreal. Do yourself a favor and just unload your wallet at this place!!!

Don't remember the name of this roll, but it was terrible. Like $20 after tip for this crap?!
    Mario R.

I've visited 3 times and really I'm not going to bother going again. I haven't been impressed by anything and it's grossly overpriced. "Lunch specials" that start at $20? You're in a run down building, not south beach. Matsuri down the street has lunch specials for under $10 and their fish quality is one of the best in Miami! I've tried the salmon carpaccio(nothing special), some other app that isn't worth remembering, and a roll that was basically a ton of rice with a tiny piece of fish in the middle(pic attached). Just terrible. Maybe their cooked items are good, but the sushi is crappy and overpriced.

Portions are big. Food is delicious. Menu is so large hard to pick. Donut bites are sooo good come out nice and hot. Pricing is reasonable for the portion.

Madonna roll! It tastes as delicious as it looks!

This place is a sushi gem. Small quaint place where they focus on quality and give you lots of quantity. No other sushi place has rolls like these. You will leave full on fish not rice!

Smoky, glazed eel meeting briny caviar in one bite ...I actually paused for a second on that one. Hotate with seasonal vegetables kept things light before the tachiuo don came through. Then the nigiri run: makogarei( marbled flounder ), kinmedai(golden eye snapper) kohada(gizzard shad), nodoguro(blackthroat seaperch) you can literally taste the sourcing in every piece. And the bluefin tuna trio (a 309lb catch straight from Yamaguchi) was genuinely the highlight of the night. Fatty, clean, melt in your mouth good. Ikura and Hokkaido uni kept the luxury going before the negitoro handroll and tamago brought it back to something simple and comforting. Server was pleasant and friendly but accidentally put in an order for an onigiri that we never ordered and forgot to put in the order for a black garlic ramen my friend ordered. When we asked about the missing ramen order he quickly went to the back to put in the order but ordered the wrong ramen which was a regular tonkatsu ramen. Another thing that was a little irritating was that the bathroom's paper towel dispenser was empty so you couldn't dry your hands after washing. Given that there was only one other table with two customers during the entire duration of our meal, it seems kind of inexcusable that the employees could not check and replace the dispenser while they were also using during the time of service. Regarding the meal, The black Garlic ramen was decent albeit slightly salty and the texture of the noodles was nice. My friends tonkatsu ramen was a little too creamy for the soup and came with thinner b noodles which was a little disappointing and unexpected as it was not mentioned in the menu that there were any differences in the type of noodles in each ramen choices. The sushi rolls were good. They were well made and flavorful. Overall I would recommend this place and think it's worth a try.
