Good food and excellent customer service. We loved the flavorful spicy wings appetizer and couldn't get enough of the sauce it was tossed in. We also enjoyed the Eggplant with chicken, Praram Long with chicken, and the Crab Fried Rice. It was nice that each dish came with a little side salad on each plate. Ended our dinner perfectly with the delicious mango sticky rice. The owner Dave was very hospitable. We will be coming back to try other dishes.

The food, service, and ambiance is great!!! I've come here often for a year now and I'll say this is my favorite restaurant in Richmond! David is so nice, he treats his regulars very well.

We have been to Sala Thai many times- and thought it was time for a review! What we got: Bbq Pork Crispy Shrimp Pad see ew - sub onions and mushrooms (no cabbage or broccoli) Bbq Salmon (forgot the pic of this) As usual- everything was fabulous! We have never had a bad meal here. It is delicious every time! The owner is friendly and funny! And the space is very welcoming! If you are craving delicious Thai food- give Sala a try -you won't be sorry! P.S. I need to come here more often!

Everything is good here, as far as what we have tasted. Had lunch Christmas Eve and it was very satisfying and delicious. Service is great, a little pricey but overall it's worth it. Local neighborhood and we will support them anytime we want fresh rolls and good curry. Atmosphere is good not too crowded so we liked that.

The host was great and the ambiance was perfect not too loud or quiet. Now, the food was AMAZING, we were surprised of how amazing everything was. Wish the food we ordered would come around the same time but other than that, it was fucking delicious! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Friendly service, really good food one of my family's favorites. The restaurant is run by a really sweet family, and we're always greeted with a smile

Delicious food! Very Very tasty! A Bit overpriced for Crab Fried Rice I paid Almost $25.00. Would go back if the prices went down a little.

The name of this nondescript takeout operation is actually its address on Macdonald Avenue. Ironically, the most popular place to eat in this neighborhood is McDonald's. I barely found it because it looks like a vacant storefront with a For Lease sign. A red OPEN sign was the only giveaway. I happened to read that this place offers some excellent Korean-style dishes. I think the menu can be more accurately described as global. It's apparently a mother-and-son business with the kitchen run by a Korean-American chef named Daniel who doesn't share his last name. His mother works the front of the house, and people order beforehand and come in for pick up. There's a community table presumably set up for dining, but the space felt more like a dental waiting area. Through the order window, I could see Daniel way in the back beyond a passthrough. I used their QR code to review the menu and order on the spot. All the entrees appeared enticing including Grilled Short Rib and Fried Pitman Farms Chicken. I chose the $24.50 Market Grain Salad. It was beautifully presented even in a takeout box (Photo 9). There was a mix of arugula, iceberg, romaine, and Treviso radicchio at the base topped with visual jewels: Fuji apple, Sonia Rojas cara cara orange, blood orange, mandarin orange, muscat grapes, and avocado. Further toppings included spring onion., tarragon, sunflower seeds, English cucumber, heirloom carrots, and French breakfast radish. Farro, red quinoa, and French feta cheese added more layers of flavor and texture. Harissa grilled Pitman Farms chicken provided a succulent serving of protein, and a unique sesame soy lemon chili dressing finished off a masterful creation. It was an impeccable salad. The $11 Skin On Gaufrette Fries were cross-cut and impossibly tender with a tasty dipping sauce (Photo 6). A genuine winner! FOOD - 5 stars...honestly one of the best entree salads assembled plus light waffle fries that delight AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...not meant for dining but the space serves its purpose SERVICE - 4.5 stars...very conscientious, just took a half-hour for my order TOTAL - 5 stars...this is a hidden gem in Richmond..it's an eight-minute walk from BART if that works better for you RELATED - Exploring Richmond? It's like a pho salad. It has tons of bean sprouts underneath the noodles and a lot of deep fried garlic pieces that make the noodles taste like Hong Kong crunchy noodles. At first I thought the egg noodles were fried. It was crunchy and there wasn't a lot of noodles but mostly a lot of sprouts and herbs. There were a lot of fatty barbecue pieces that I did not eat. I enjoyed one shrimp and one piece of squid. There were a ton of fake crab meat. The side soup was very nice and hot but had a taste of chicken fat and lots of salt and MSG. The noodle dish is extremely tasty and doesn't need any addition of soup. This was excellent on a hot day after a nice hike at Tilden Park. My husband ordered the same dish as me at my recommendation and loved it. My friend had their chow fun with seafood and barbecue. She enjoyed it and it was a generous amount so she took home half. This place is not shy about using MSG and the food is very salty and strong tasting. I find the dishes much cheaper than other Vietnamese restaurants. My dish was only $13.50. That's very cheap since it was full of herbs and seafood. Service is very efficient when they're not busy. No frills. Service is very slow when it's busy. Most of their customers are people who are coming here during their office lunch break during the weekdays. I noticed it was very quiet on a weekend. I'm still going to go back to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Berkeley next time I am in the area, Phosho Dough.
