I'm a sucker for a make your own salad spot. While I could probably do this at home, there's just something great about going somewhere that has an array of ingredients prepped and ready for you to throw into a delicious salad! Salad Sensations, located in Rosedale Village with the Studio Movie Grill, is a make your own salad, sandwich or smoothie shop. Their menu board shows a variety of pre-made offerings to choose from or you can take advantage of filling your plate with your favorites. If you're ordering to take out for a large group, it's helpful to go with their premade options. However, if you're coming in or dining in (as there are tables to sit at), it's great to pick what you'd like. I came in and went with a make your own salad. I opted for the size small (which is actually humungous). They start with your choice of greens and I opted to blend a few different options. For toppings, I went ham (literally) choosing ham and avocado as my additional paid toppings, while adding on a ton of complimentary toppings like tomatoes, olives, cucumbers and onions. They offer you up to three salad dressings and I went with the honey mustard and chipotle ranch. Everything tasted fresh. The only topping I may skip in the future is the ham. The chunks were gigantic, but the meat was a little chewy and tough. I'd opt for one of their chickens as they commonly also use these flavorful chickens in their panini sandwiches. Build your own salads start at just $8.95 for a small in addition to about $2-5 for any of the additional proteins, making this a fairly reasonable spot for a meal!

I'm so happy I found this place because I've been craving a salad but most restaurants' readymade salads rarely appeal to me. I love that I had the option to build my own salad. You can have 8 toppings (extra is $0.25), but that was enough for me. If you don't want a salad then they also have soup, sandwiches, wraps, and smoothies. I ordered a small salad with spinach and spring mix, strawberries, mandarins, dried cranberries, sliced almonds, sunflower seeds, pepitas, feta cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette on the side. I wasn't really craving any meat/fish today, but they have protein options at an additional charge (prices vary). It was very filling. The service was swift and friendly. It's a small store, but it still had a good amount of seats for groups of up to four. Due to the size of store, it can get a little noisy. I made it here before the line got long, but you can always order ahead if you'd like to skip the line. They also have a punch card program, so I'll definitely be coming back. With so many options, there's a lot that I'd like to try.

The service was super friendly and informative. Any questions you have they are more than happy to answer. The ambiance is simple and quiet. It's a nice change to the loud restaurant atmosphere. The food was wonderful. The pricing is a little much for salad however it was very tasty and big size for a small. All in all it's a nice refreshing meal with good clean ingredients. I will be trying other things off the menu in the future.

I am literally obsessed with there salads and wraps!! It's my go to, I work from home so I tend to order a lot. The only thing is that they close a bit early, tonight for dinner I was looking forward for a wrap and it was closed. other than that I would give it a 5 star! Oh I wish they would do options for side salad. Or dressing not a big fan of the one they have at DoorDash.

This food is amazing but the staff fell short of great today. Made my order and to my surprise they took my order made my food and then informed me that they closed in 15 min. Me and my husband sat down and the young lady started to sweep at our feet. Picking up all the dust from the day to fall into our food. After 6 min of eating our food she told us we close in 5 min. My husband was already upset asked for two boxes and boxed our food to go eat outside in our car. Sad they closed the door behind us and shut down 2 minutes before 7pm. Shame on you ladies the owner will need to educate you in customer service. I'm a business owner in service and would never had done that to anyone.

This place really exceeded my expectations on salad for sure! I went in without any idea on the menu and the guy helping me took me through making my salad and it was delicious ! My salad was a build your own salad and it included: chipotle chicken, romaine and spring mix greens, cucumbers, olives, carrots, red cabbage, cheddar cheese, bacon, croutons, tortilla chips, and ranch! Great neighborhood salad bar. Owner was very friendly and helpful, portions are huge and generous. I built my own salad and included all my favorite ingredients including spinach, romaine, banana peppers, eggs, roasted corn, and olives. I paired it with my proteins of pesto grilled chicken (they also have Chipotle chicken!) and Tofu. Was delicious, highly recommend to everyone! read more

Love this place. Probably stop 2 times a week at least. Great salads, fresh ingredients, and lots of different choices. I make a salad every day at home but it would cost me a small fortune to get all the options they have. It's fun to pick different things each time. Woo hoo!!! I love a good salad. You know what else I love?! A salad made by someone else that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. My custom made chicken salad was BOMB! The spinach and fresh veggies were....fresh. What a concept. Finally a salad bar with non welted spinach! The customer service was fantastic and the place was clean. What more could you ask for! Great new option for a lighter meal. Owner is super friendly and great selection of toppings. Just need garbanzo beans and cauliflower lol. Place has been open for just a little over a month now and I only found it because I searched yelp. They need a little more signage to help people find them. But will be back for sure. read more

Great place for a nutritious satisfying lunch! I built my own salad and added the pesto chicken! The ingredients tasted fresh and the chicken was moist and well seasoned. The dressings taste homemade and I appreciated them letting me choose a couple different dressings (on the side). Huge portions even for the small salad. Fresh ingredients, plenty to choose from. I had the Chicken Taco Salad and the Chipotle dressing was just the right amount of heat. If you love salads check this place out. Complaints about prices are silly. Chain restaurants charge more for their salads. And the best of all? Super friendly staff! read more

Just got home from eating out with my mom after a day of shopping and we wanted something cool and fresh. We decided on Salad Sensations after reading the reviews and this place did not disappoint. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and just seemed like very genuine people. The salad was awesome. I had a customized large salad. The ingredients were fresh and crisp. We also tried the soup of the day and that just blew me away. It was so delicious. I will definitely be returning! This is my new summer spot in town :) Very similar to Salata in L.A. read more

I've been looking for a place like this ever since fresh choice closed down. I'm not a huge salad person but sometimes nothing sounds better than a fresh salad. They have only been open a couple months and finally went in there today, I've yet to try one of their sandwiches but the salads my wife and I got were great, with many options. Very reasonably priced, a "small" salad was around $7 & the large is about a dollar more and twice the size. They have an assortment of proteins for an extra charge, and not just plain bland ones. They have many sauces on for each one. The salad I had was great but the service is what will keep me coming back. I believe it is a father and son who run it and they were so helpful and kind. Please guys check this place out so we dont lose it. It's a nice alternative to the chain crap we find in this town read more

OMG this place is so good. I've passed by this place several times before deciding to come in and get a meal. I was hesitant at first because most salad places I go to are overpriced and poorly prepped. This is NOT one of them. Everything is fresh. If you are just eating a salad for yourself, then get the small. They take a small bowl of the lettuce you choose (spring mix, romaine, iceberg, and spinach) into a mixing bowl then it's unlimited toppings and you pick your protein and dressings. They have every dressing you can think of. The pesto chicken and regular chicken is good. I haven't tried shrimp yet. Next time for sure. I believe it was $8 for my salad and I had to save the rest for leftover. It's so much food. I tried their green smoothie with spinach agave and bananas. So good. Ate here today, and I must say it is a sensation. Great make your own salad. I had the Caesar salad at it was great. You get to control how much dressing you want added to your salad. My son had the make your own and chose shrimp as his protein. We both love this place and the staff are very helpful and friendly. They made us feel welcome, very hospitable. As an Executive Chef at Que Pasa for over 20 years i felt like it was time to become my own man and start something new. Being in the Mexican Restaurante business for many years i wanted to create something different not many people see. Salads Sensations was the end result. Not just salads we have many healthy options for the whole family. Salads, sandwiches wraps, soups, poke bowl, fresh smoothies and juices!

The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning.
