This place has been on my radar for a few months. I met my dear friend Alma here today for an early lunch. The food looked good along with the ambience on Yelp so boom...we made it our next place. When I arrived I was a tad confused since I saw a Best Western first. I had to check twice to make sure it was the right place...It was! After I parked I walked into a beautiful lobby with an old fashioned phone both and a decorated Christmas tree:) Once I sat down with Alma & her daughter we checked out the menu and requested a breakfast menu. Both the lunch and breakfast menu had some nice options. Our server Johnny was great. He was very accommodating and friendly. We ordered: Chilaquiles Rojos ~ 5/5 Tortilla Espanola ~ 5/5 Bowl of Happiness ~ 5/5 And 1 "Feel Good Pancake" ~ 5/5 Everything was delicious and the presentation was spot on. It was not too busy so we were able to sit for a few hours and catch up which was nice. *Located next to the Best Western Hotel *Opened 7 days a week for breakfast & lunch

Service was great! Johnny our server was so helpful and attentive. The ambiance is welcoming and relaxed. I enjoyed the food and the stay. I met up with my lovely Yelp friend. She comes from LA so we meet halfway. She is so nice and so friendly. She really won my heart! This is the second time we meet in Bakersfield. I had this place saved for a while now so I was excited for the visit there. We got there and they sat us almost right away. They have a cute lobby before the entrance to the restaurant. There is an old telephone booth and Christmas decorations. Johnny brought us the menu and it was the lunch menu. I saw on line that they had some great food for breakfast and Te-see asked him about it. He told us they were still making breakfast so I got happy. I ordered a coffee with cream and he brought it in a little tray with the creamer on the side. The table was a little wobbly and the coffee spilled all over the tray. Luckily Te-see got that fixed with a sugar packet. Jonny brought me another tray with coffee and cream. Almost everything was plant base, some egg and chicken but definitely no red meat. Unless I didn't see it. So I ordered the chilaquiles rojos and my daughter the Happy-go-Lucky-bowl. Te-see got the torta española and slew got a pancake to shared. All the food came very fancy well presented. Almost like magazine perfect. I loved them. We were taking videos and pictures as we should like a truly Yelpers that we are. Haha! The food was so tasty and flavorful. I loved my chilaquiles. They were perfect for my palate. They were crunchy and still with the flavor of the sauce. So delicious. They came with a little bowl of beans from the olla. (Freshly cooked) Te-see mention that her torta española was great as well. It came with some green salad. And it did really look so good. My daughter got the Happy-go-lucky-bowl. I was surprised she liked it. It was so beautiful presented. Sorry I already mention that. But yes it was pretty. There was berries melon, pineapple. She said it was really good and filling. She couldn't finish it. The pancake we order to share was so healthy made with all the good grains like chia, hemp seed, brown rice, oat flour. So good. It had some bananas and berries on top. Really delicious. I want to go back again just writing about it. I may go back and order different things from the menu. The bathrooms are very clean. Also maybe restaurant is part of the hotel

Such a hidden gem. Everything I've had the pleasure of consuming here has been excellent. The service is top notch. Check these photos and come see for yourself. You'll not be disappointed.

A Mexican brunch spot conveniently located across the Amtrak station before my trip. The interior is cute with a half-outdoor space. Plates are moderately priced, and the brunch cocktails if available, are so affordable! I wish they had had the Mexican Chocolate shown on the menu today. You can try their banana cream cake w strawberry which was tasty. Note that they do not have a dessert menu, so be sure to ask your server!

We got an opportunity to try out the Mango Haus off 700 Truxtun next to the Best Western. If you haven't been here yet, you're in for a treat. We spoke to one of the owners, Johnny, and he told us his passion is to provide Bakersfield with healthy, fresh, quality meals. This is a place where you can meet with your friends and family for delicious non-restricted meals as well as yummy plant-based alternatives, gluten free and soy free choices. Where everyone has a large selection of options to choose from. The vibe is upbeat and airy, with a tropical feel I had the Bowl of Happiness off the Brunch menu which was light and full of fresh fruit. My partner had the Cauliflower Pesto Pasta of the lunch menu that was so good, I kept stealing bites. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying a variety of things in the future (especially the Oaxacan Mole Nachos- sounds delicious!!) My husband has a friend who is vegan and they have struggled to find a spot that doesn't limit their selections one way or the other. I'm excited to share this gem with them for future outings!

While this place was so popular for Sunday brunch that we had to wait a few minutes to be seated, it was well worth our patience! The seating combines comfy benches behind most tables and chairs on the middle "walking" side, and the layout of the dining area was easy to navigate. Best recommended for groups of 4 or less, so you can hear each other talk. The interior was fresh and appealing, but the space was loud with the full crowd when we stopped in. The staff here was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! Our group of 3 ordered an appetizer to share, 3 main dishes, and 3 mixed drinks to celebrate a birthday. Everything was terrific, and the Oaxacan Nachos were so generously heaped that we ran out of room trying to eat everything (along with our mains, of course)! Fairly priced for a modern restaurant and with MANY options for every palate (and clearly-labeled vegetarian fare if you like that), we found plenty to enjoy and look forward to our next visit.

I'll start this saying, I miss Manuel's. That's not a dig on Mango Haus. I met a friend for brunch. Love the decor, the natural light transports you somewhere else. It's like you're on an island vacation. The bottomless mimosas helped. The food is flavorful. Get the Patatas Bravas (spicy potatoes) omg... yum. Avocado smash was flavorful and the side salad was refreshing after the heaviness of the toast. Friendly staff. Great for brunch.

Good food, clean place, nice Muzak. We went for breakfast. There are vegan alternatives for most or all of the menu. We got pancakes and coffee con leche. Yum

I loved the ambience, so pretty and relaxing. Not the best vegan food I've had but it was still tasty. I wish the chips were less hard and tacos less watery. Service was good, staff is nice. will definitely come again!

The choice of food was terrific! Whether you're a carnivore or a vegan or anything in between, this is for you!!! The service was great! The ambience once you get in the door is wonderful and tropical. The outside of this restaurant does no justice to the wonderful food inside. I was surprised when I walked in and it was beautiful. I had the vegan Chilaquiles and my daughter had the Oatmeal brûlée. It came with a nice croissant. The drinks were creative and yummy. My daughter had guava and mango juice mixed. I had a Butterfly lemonade. Yum!! I highly recommend. Oh and free refills!

This is a coworker's favorite place for brunch / lunch so I treated her here for her birthday. I would normally not go to a vegetarian restaurant, so I'm glad she suggested this place to dine. She has tried everything on the menu and says you can't go wrong. The burrito is her favorite. She also likes the nachos. Our other friend got the seafood tacos and she said they were yummy. Another friend said her cauliflower pesto was to die for, and I will get that next time. I got the Cobb salad which was great, but unwisely should have listened more carefully to my friends suggestions which I found suspect because she is a vegetarian. We got the guacamole which was amazing, and we finished it up before I remembered to take a picture lol. Next time we're going to come earlier to lounge in the bar area, which is beautiful. Classy. Order bloody Mary's spicy was a suggestion of our server, and if you like sweeter, gotta get the the mango margarita. Great location downtown. Not a ton of parking so if you can walk from work it's a good idea to do so.

If you love breakfast foods, you definitely can't go wrong by going here. I always struggle with what to choose because everything is so good! If you have a sweet tooth, the B-N-W waffle which has banana, Nutella, and walnuts for the toppings would be a great choice. The chilaquiles with any choice of meat is incredibly flavorful and one of my favorites on the menu. I also appreciate their extensive drinks menu as you can choose anything from a michelada to a latte. At this specific downtown location, the service is always great. The servers are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you're satisfied with your food/drinks.

We finally decided to try Huevo House, and with a name like that I was expecting both cuisines, but I wasn't expecting the Mexican flavors to be this good! The menu was a decent size--one side for breakfast and the back for lunch. I didn't look at the lunch side, but the breakfast options were great: plenty to choose from without feeling overwhelming. They serve pozole on Fridays and Saturdays and menudo on Sundays. The pozole was full of flavor and honestly one of the highlights of our visit. Thank goodness we finally found a place that satisfies us both! I ordered the Country Benedict and he ordered the Brunchiladas--both dishes were delicious and came in generous portions. We also tried the Abuelita Latte and the Mazapán Latte. Both were very good, just on the sweeter side, so if you're not into sweet coffee definitely ask for half sweet. Our server was attentive and informative. She took great care of us and even made conversation, which added to the overall experience. Overall, such a good visit. We'll definitely be back!

The vibes in the new space are absolutely immaculate. There is so much more energy here, and the decorations are incredibly cute. It's the perfect backdrop for a killer meal. The Main Event: This time around, I went with the En Fuego Burger. This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. The Flavor Profile: This burger delivers on every level, but those fried onion strings were to die for. For the side, I got the sweet potato fries, which are served as big, thick-cut wedges. They come paired with a duo of spicy ketchup and a marshmallow dipping sauce. Switching between the two was amazing, the marshmallow sauce actually makes the fries feel like a dessert. The Drink: To wash it all down, I ordered the basil lemonade, and omg, I need to figure out how to recreate this at home. It's exactly what it sounds like, crisp, refreshing lemonade with a perfect herbal basil finish. The Verdict: If you loved their old spot, the new location takes everything to the next level. Between the upgraded atmosphere, the dessert-like fries, and that refreshing lemonade, I will absolutely be coming back here again and again.

I immediately noticed that my favorite dish, the shakshuka eggs, was no longer on the menu. Thinking it might just be a seasonal change, I decided to try something different. I ordered the carrot ginger soup, beet and goat cheese salad, and my usual favorite cocktail, the Pear Necessities. The cocktail was the first disappointment. It tasted completely different from what I've come to enjoy, none of the smoky mezcal flavor and none of the sweetness from the pear liquor that made it a favorite. I figured it might just be a new bartender and tried to brush it off. The carrot ginger soup was just okay. I found myself searching for both the carrot and ginger flavors, neither of which really stood out. The beet and goat cheese salad was fine, but it's hard to get too excited about a salad. Overall, the food felt subpar compared to what I've come to expect from Moo Creamery. The restaurant itself was also surprisingly loud, making conversation difficult and adding to the overall frustration. It was hard to get our waitress's attention throughout the meal, and service felt disjointed. The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning. It's hard to justify giving it another try when there are so many other restaurants in town that consistently deliver quality food, service, and a better overall dining experience.

Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. Everything is quite unmemorable. Service is whatever, sometimes mid, sometimes bad. Nothing outstanding. Ambiance.... well... this one has been replicated one too many times. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.
