And the staff morale/energy seems low and dismissive. I'm not sure what happened here. Other locations are great. There's so much potential here. Never in a million years would I recommend this place. 1. Terrible customer service: The workers were incredibly rude and impatient with the customers. They weren't even trying to be patient and it definitely showed. This place is extremely unprofessional as the workers were laughing and making faces as they worked 2. I ordered a sweet tea without knowing that it HAD ALCOHOL. Neither me or the person I was with were asked to show our ID and both of us are under 21 years old. When I tried the sweet tea I immediately threw out my drink because both of us tasted the alcohol. While this was going done, none of the workers said a thing. 3. Next, inside they only had 2 trashcans and one of them was turned around to face the wall so that you couldn't throw out your trash. The other trash can was overflowing with trash. This is my second review for this location and I hate to do this. I'm writing this to prevent future customers to experience what I did. I normally come here as much as I can because I love their salads and all the toppings they have to offer. However, the experience yesterday was horrific! I placed an online order and was suppose to be completed at 7:08 pm. I arrived at 7:12 pm. When the young man he came up to me and I told him I had an online order. When they located my receipt he told me it will be finished in the next five minutes. I have no problem waiting, after I grabbed my purse from my car I sat down and waited. As I waited I saw the young man assemble all the online orders, but stopped midway to take a walk-in customer order. As a couple of minutes passed he finishes the customer order, more walk-in customers come in. Him and another young lady began to take their orders as the online orders are sitting out on the bar. In the midst of the employees taking the walk-in orders, I approached the counter and asked about my order. All that was left was my protein, crutons, and crossiant. If I had not walked up there to ask I would have been waiting for almost 30 minutes! They did not bother to finish up the online orders before taking the walk-ins to which I do not know what your guidelines are. This used to be my favorite place to eat at. But recently things have just been going downhill. I'm not sure if they got new management, or if food supply chain is to blame, but in the past month the four times I've gone they're always out of nearly everything. I can see the stress levels on the workers faces having to tell the customers that they don't have a lot of things. I do want to give kudos to the workers, they seem like young high school and college students, and they're still able to provide good customer service underneath the circumstances. I really want to like this place, and have tried 5+ times to order (all delivery, via either the Salata app or through Doordash). The ingredients are good but I have literally NEVER had my order be correct. The first time I ordered two salads and they only sent one. The second time, they sent the salads correctly, but also sent me someone else's wrap. When I called the store to alert them, they didn't seem to care (and actually asked me if I would drive the wrap back to the store!). I just ordered 3 salads, and the driver brought me someone else's order (a wrap and a soup), and had to go back to the store and have them remake 3 salads, and they STILL got the order wrong (and did not include the pita chips or the croissant). I was excited for a salad bar to oPen nearby, but my experience left much to be desired. With 3-4 customers in front of me, the manager stopped the line to yell at the employees in front of all the customers for not refilling items. After this uncomfortable exchange, they realized they were out of a lot of the most popular items (during prime dinner time on a Thursday so that was confusing). The service was given with a lot of attitude and confusion, I don't think a single person smiled. When I was accidentally charged for three salads instead of two it was an ordeal to get me my money back, which was given in cash. I reached out to corporate customer service about this location about a month ago after multiple mishaps with incorrect orders, missing items, and just general poor customer service. The regional manager phoned me and, while he was professional and said all the right things, I wasn't convinced improvement was on the horizon. Today I decided to give them one more chance. Unbelievable as it sounds, it's actually gotten worse. I get the covid staffing and supply chain issues. But that's not the problem here. The problem is leadership. The manager just barks orders at 4-5 employees who clearly aren't trained and don't know what to do besides slowly wipe counter tops. I'm done. Salata won't get another dime from me. Which is a shame because if they could just manage to consistently make the orders correctly, my family would be frequent patrons. Well, I tried to email the corporate office about my experience before writing a review, but I received no response. Customer service is not a priority. I will just leave this email that I sent here: I am writing because we love to frequent the Salata location in Madison Yards in Atlanta. Usually we get pretty ok service, but tonight we were spoken to in a direct rude manor as soon as we stepped foot into the door and then were refused when we requested our salads to be made in a bowl. So we decided to leave after that interaction and when we realized that many ingredient options were not out. I would understand this more if it was at the end of the night, but it is 6:30pm on Saturday. We were coming here twice a week, but it is going to take awhile for us to come back after this experience and I wanted someone to know that cares about their customers and their profit, because this employee does not. She was actually happy that we decided to leave, and went over to immediately talk to a party dining in when we decided to leave. Salad is amazing but the service is lacking. I've been there a few times and a few of the servers present as if they don't want to be there already! They just opened! Today one got sauce all over my card and then told me to go get a napkin. A few days ago, I had to ask the other server to mix my salad a bit more because she rushed it. Closing is at 7 so i thought that was a considerable amount of time before closing: As soon as I walk in a girl asks if I have a call in order and when I say no she gets and attitude and shakes her head. I should've left then but I had a long work day and was starving. Everything was already being put away. I asked for my salad to be tossed in dressing but it was just drizzled on top. I totally agree with the other reviews on here as a customer but right now I would like to speak on how the company treat their employees. The reason the store might be so unprepared all the time is because they cannot keep staff. The general manager is always sick or on vacation and the mangers that he have on staff treats the staff with no respect. When the managers want to get their point across, I have witness an manager place their hand in an employee face. I know that most of the staff are kids up their but it doesn't give them the right to talk to them any kind of way because they are employees and not their kids. Someone really need to review the location for a couple days without the managers knowing about it. Also, I have been told that they don't fully clean their dishes and with COVID going on, they are not wearing their mask over those salads. I have had two daughters work for this location. One left because at the age 20 she didn't like how the manager was speaking to her, plus she had a problem that the managers was always outside smoking and not working but expected them to do everything. My 2nd experience when I went into this location and young lady was on her phone and someone ask that she assist me my, so she wasn't pleased. My 3rd experience was last Sat. actually when I walked in this location the employees had packed up all their food items and it was only 8pm and the location closes at 9pm est....I informed the young lady the salad I preferred, but when she went to add my sides she put her hands inside the tomatoes, so I ask that she use a spoon which she had to go getwhen she came back she added my tomatoes, but used the same spoon to dip in the onions, eggs, bacon etc which I was in total disbelief. I had to ask her not do that, not only is that unsanitary, but she has no idea who is allergic to what..smh...and to make it worse I think she was the manager. Really love this place and I will keep coming back because their salads are great and they have a lot of topping options. My only complaint really has nothing to do with the food and is mainly for owners or managers of the business - please have more staff on the line in this location! Every time I have come here there is usually a line of only two or three people but there is about a 20-30 min time frame of being in here. I can't come if I'm in a hurry and I've been about 5 or 6 times now. Each time there are only two employees. One at the register and one making salads. (In store and online orders). There have been many awkward moments of watching the one salad maker make one or even two people in person wait while making multiple online orders. Definitely should be 3 staff members working at all times. One to make in person salads, one for online orders and one to check out. Then all able to help in chaos. Seems like the business is just being cheap about payroll and not caring about customer experience. I'd work on this. But the salads are great. PS I don't really write reviews but it's so bad here every single time I come, I felt compelled to say something because I'd hate for this to kill the business. So I seriously love Salata...like eat there a few times a week. I visited this one for the second or third time and was seriously disappointed. Raquel R (name it said on my receipt) made my salad and while all the other employees were welcoming she made my salad as if I was personally punishing her. Threw my toppings on with the personality of a dead rat. I had the audacity to ask if they were out of croissants and she simply pointed at the empty basket (I mean in her defense yes it was empty but maybe some in the back?). So then I got out to my car and realized she hadn't tossed the salad which everyone knows would make it impossible to eat in the car, so I brought it back in and asked if she would toss it (like they normally do) and she proceeded to toss half my salad out of the bowl and on to the counter while stabbing my salad with tongs (I'm quite positive she was imagining my face).
