Haven't been to F2O in a while but I used to frequent the Cobb and Decatur location all the time years ago. Let me say the service was phenomenal today. I hate I didn't get the two ladies names that served us to recognize them but they reminded me of what F2O was years ago providing us with great service. The young ladies were helpful with setting up my old points in the new system. Quickly wiped the outside table down for us as I let them know they were all dirty. And gave my friend an option to take a side or cookie when her fruit was not to her liking. My order go to chicken tenders with garlic mash, now spicy tenders, was hot, fresh and good. I was hungry and it did not disappoint. Highlight was definitely the service from the young ladies. My experience at this Fresh To Order was OK at best. I've had better experiences at some of Fresh To Order's other locations such as CNN Center and Cumberland Mall. Generally, I like how this chain offers a healthy, fast-casual, dining out option. However, I've never actually craved the food at Fresh To Order. I seek it out only if I want to eat a relatively healthy meal. At the time of writing this review, Fresh To Order has 10 metro Atlanta locations along with several out of state. This location is on the ground level of the Spire condominium tower in Midtown. Fresh To Order will validate parking for up to one hour in Spire's parking deck. Parking in the deck and metered parking on the street (7th St NE) is limited. We weren't able to find a spot, so we ended up parking in the Metropolis deck (about one block north) and buying stuff from Sweet Hut to get two hours of parking validated. The Metropolis deck has more parking spaces and its restaurants and retail tenants offer validation for a longer period of time than Spire. This Fresh To Order location has a fairly spacious dining room and patio. I think this place gets most of its business at lunchtime. We visited for a weeknight dinner and business was fairly slow. There were several employees just sort of standing around and doing nothing despite there being multiple messy and uncleared tables. The place also had a funny smell to me. At night, the restaurant is dimly lit. There were TVs playing CNN. Like the other Fresh To Orders I've been to, this one has an open kitchen with a flame grill. Fresh To Order serves panini sandwiches, soups, salads, burgers, and entrees. They also sell brownies, cookies, and cupcakes and have a kids menu. Expect to spend about $8-11 each for many items and about $12-15 each for most big entrees (known as "entree long plates" on the menu). We ended up ordering two long plates (they are so named because the actual plates the food is served on are long and rectangular): the Coconut Curry Chicken ($11.50) and the Chicken Wild Mushroom ($13.60). According to the menu, the Coconut Curry Chicken comes with coconut curry sauce, fire-grilled chicken, roasted corn relish, wheat berry rice, and baby greens and the Chicken Wild Mushroom comes with mushroom cream sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted mushrooms. The person who took our order confused us by asking what we'd like for our sides. I asked if the sides were included with our entrees and he said yes, so we picked two sides. It turned out the sides we chose were substituted for default items listed in our entrees. Therefore, we didn't get what we expected. For example, we got a garlic jack grit cake instead of wheat berry rice in the Coconut Curry Chicken entree and grilled vegetables instead of garlic mashed potatoes in the Chicken Wild Mushroom entree. This was disappointing because we were looking forward to trying those mashed potatoes. There were two chicken breast fillets in each entree. The meat was dry in both. The sauces were good. They were flavorful. The grit cake was delicious and my favorite item. It was quite buttery and I assume one of the unhealthier sides. The grilled veggies were underwhelming. They consisted of a small piece of corn on the cob, a slice of red bell pepper, a slice of zucchini, and sliced mushrooms. They were overcooked. The single slice of zucchini was too thin. Fresh To Order has a tea and lemonade bar. I ordered a drink ($2.10) and sampled all the flavors except for unsweet tea. They were sweet citrus mint (tea), sweet tea, vanilla star anise mint lemonade, raspberry mojito lemonade, and mango orange lemonade. Overall, they were OK. There was no real standout flavor. Aside from the service issues above (uncleaned tables, miscommunication regarding sides), the employees we interacted with were nice and our orders came out in a reasonable amount of time. read more

With a healthy name like F2O, I would have never came here on my own as this is a prime (they don't offer steak so no pun intended) example of the saying "never judge a book by its cover!" Hands down one of the best bison burgers I've ever had. The bison burger was served on a pita and was drenched in horseradish aioli and BBQ sauce, and topped with field greens, blue cheese crumbles and ciabatta! The shrimp was a tad salty and over cooked /rubbery but still acceptable. I think the ahi tuna and garlic grits were standout - I'd gladly order these again. So last weekend, my sister in NY Drive her son, my nephew, back to college at Big Name Tech School. Yes, the kids were ordered back to campus. And, and with the new freshman class, there were no dorms left for my nephew and his dorm mate so they had to get an apartment near the school.
