I came here for the first time for their Mahjong Mondays, and I had an absolute blast! It costs $10/person, and it's opened primarily for Mahjong to be played. All of their tables has a Mahjong set arranged, and they have an expert on site that helps teach you their special Cantonese style of playing. The expert did a wonderful job breaking it down for us since most of had never played before. During the game, they came around with plates of appetizers that you can purchase for the table. They just mark each item down on an ordering sheet for you. There are also entree and dessert items that you can order as well along with drinks. All of their appetizers were delicious, and our table ordered the bang bang shrimp entree, which was easily our favorite food item of the night! I heard that they are scaling back on holding these Mahjong Monday events every week due to unforeseen issues (praying for them!), but I'm happy that I was able to join yesterday! read more

Officially OBSESSED with JenChan's! Wow. Every dish we tried was a hit. We sat at the bar and all the staff were so friendly. We tried the bang bang shrimp, Sesame Street fries, dumplings, and coconut curry noodles. All were absolutely delicious. 10/10 - no notes. Nothing was lacking in flavor which is what I truly appreciated so much about this place. One of my girlfriends tried the frozen ginger margarita which I wouldn't recommend for any light weights because it was super boozy, but still delicious! Oh my goodness, we were so lucky to stumble upon Jen Chan's while in town for the World Cup. My friend and I are big foodies, and when our boyfriends realized they couldn't watch the soccer game there, they ditched us. Still, we had the best time. I'm new here in Atlanta and my wife and I found this place thru a TikTok post. I will cover as much as possible from our experience. So the streets are narrow and they are "one way" streets so parking is limited. When we arrived there is seating outside and inside. We couldn't sit on a Sunday at 6pm as they were extremely busy. Reservation is highly recommended. So we asked to order to go instead. The staff were sooo beautiful and helpful. Erin, helped us choose a couple of their staples. But they were out of the fried chicken. We Sat outside as a table became available, but to be honest we couldn't enjoy the food and asked for to go boxes immediately as we got attacked by flies and we were fighting for our lives to eat our food. I'm not exaggerating! IDK how others sat outside and ate with the heavy traffic of flies. LOL! The flies were on our table before our food even came out. Now for the food: we order the shumai dumplings as an appetizer, and they were delish. We also had the Mongolian beef fried rice it was phenomenal, and the sausage general tsao's pizza... and wow! I didn't have the best takeout experience. I ordered online and chose the option for curbside. They ask you how to identify your car, etc and the confirmation email tells you to call when you arrive. Curbside was a major reason I chose to order because I know parking can be tough in that area and I was exhausted so wanted to get in and out. But when I arrived and called they first didn't answer then answered but told me they were too busy for curbside. So I had to circle around and eventually park illegally praying I didn't get towed to run in to get my food. I just wish they had said upfront curbside wasn't available because I would have ordered elsewhere. Their page also never updated to tell me when my food was ready, I just decided I was tired of waiting. Service was so-so. I didn't feel like they cared too much since I was a takeout customer. For dinner I ordered the Coco Curry Noodles with Mongolian Beef. It had spice to it, but not a lot of flavor otherwise. Really bummed because I've been excited to try JenChan's. Our server was super helpful with giving us a lot of information to decide what drink and food we wanted to order. They were very knowledgeable about the flavor profiles of everything on the menu. The restaurant is small but super cute vibe inside and I never felt crowded. Their drink list is super unique with fun variations of things you would find on a normal cocktail list. My favorite dish was the shumai. We ordered one of their pizzas because they are known for them and it was good but I think I would rather try their more unique entrees next time. We did end up staying for our full allotted reservation time because the time that the food took. They do warn you that pizza takes longer to come out so be prepared to be patient. Oh my gaaaaaaaawddd WHAT! I love this place! Ate dinner tonight here for the first time and I would come back every week. The Vietnamese Pork Pizza is the true LOML. The gluten free dough is the best of the best. It's soaked in chili oil, it's crispy af. The pork is delicious. It's covered in slaw. It's a queer friendly restaurant so that's important to me personally. You can get a Gay Card for discounts on future meals and a free margarita. Both of them lived up to expectations. The menu does disclose this, but be aware that the pizzas are sourdough-based so you should expect something similar to a flatbread. The crust is amazing though and you can really taste the sourdough. In addition, we ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls and the ahi tuna. Both we also fantastic. The only underwhelming piece was the miso chocolate chip cookies. They were just alright, and I'd argue they were a little overcooked. I might be slightly biased because JenChan's is in my new neighborhood, but I have eaten here a few times now, and the drinks and food have been delicious. The servers are always friendly and helpful, even though they are usually swamped. Please note that the menu changes seasonally, so the burrata I eat might not be what you can eat because it might not be in season. I have sat at the bar, at a large table behind the bar with a bunch of people, and at the two tables at the top in the front window. I have not sat outside, but there are some tables available. The first time we ate here was brunch for a friend's birthday. Everyone tried everyone's dishes because they were so delicious. Everyone just picked a few things, and we all shared so much food--I think it was most of the menu. My husband was pleased because he had many meat dishes that he didn't get to eat with me. For starters, I would suggest the Ahi tuna, which will melt in your mouth, and the scrumptious Burrata if it is available. I also love their wings, Brussels sprouts, cucumbers, stir-fried Snow peas, and last but not least, the fried mushrooms. As far as pizza goes, you can't go wrong. I just need to pick the one with the most toppings you love. If it's summertime, you should get the teachers for peaches and add prosciutto to it. You're welcome. I've also had and recommend the coconut curry, yes, on a pizza, and the 007. When you come for brunch, I recommend General Tso's chicken and waffles or Chinese stir-fry. read more
