I have been obsessed with Salata since I discovered it at Atlantic Station. This new location on Ponce is now my favorite. It's gorgeous inside and the customer service is awesome. The salads are all good portions. That croissant is soooooo good. If I could eat 10 of them, I would. Love that they have USB plugs. This is located in the perfect plaza. Thanks to a childhood of "salads" made of random ingredients thrown together that did not necessarily complement each other, I grew up saying and believing that I hated salads, that I would never like salads, that salads weren't for me. The setup is Chipotle-style in that you walk down and tell them what you want to add into your salad, from the base to the toppings to the vinaigrette/dressings. At the end of the line, you also get a choice between pita chips or a croissant. I made a salad with the Salata salad mix base, onions, bell peppers, chickpeas, almonds, and some other stuff with a lime-ginger vinaigrette. It was SO flavorful and delicious! There are millions of salad/wrap places out there. Millions! But Salata is the best. The food is very fresh and delicious. Only once did i think i got too much dressing but that's life. If you have too much contents for your wrap, ask for the remainder in a little container and BOOM - side salad. The soups are great, too. Always hot. The staff are so nice and welcoming. Very bad experience here. My online order was not ready even though I was there 30 minutes past its ready time. The employees ignored me, and when I did get their attention they cursed at me. I was unable to get them to refund my order, and ended up leaving with nothing. No one there listened, manager no where to be found. I am so glad I finally decided to give Salata a try! It was minutes before closing, but you could not tell; I told the woman it was our first visit, and she took her time walking us through everything and even pulled out extra items to show us how everything worked and all the options! I am always looking to add healthier options to our "fast food" rotation. Great taste, lots of healthier options, and a helpful, patient staff member made this visit a hit! The BAD: Don't go here if you're worried about Covid-19. People are likely to get the virus here if it continues. Why? I just got take-out from this Ponce de Leon location. Nobody was social distancing. Masks were around employee's chins not their mouth or nose. I was trying to stay 6 feet back from the guy in front of me in line who wasn't wearing a mask and the employee told me, "You can't just hold up the line". I was waiting till he was 6 feet away. Then I was laughed at for being concerned about social distancing. Spreading out would have taken the same amount of time to go through the line. On the floor there are tape marks of where to stand that nobody was enforcing. This is a management issue. They don't care about our safety. The GOOD: I love the idea of this restaurant. I'll just go to the Glenwood Salata instead. Their management controls crowding so far. I eat Salata 3 times a week. read more

BUT...after coming in tonight...standing in line...only to find out (10 minutes after starting the "process" of making the salad) it was extremely disappointing that they were out of both tomatoes and bacon. I ordered a wrap and it was excellent!! Large enough for me to carry my lunch the next day. My only complaint which I normally vocalize to a manager instead of posting was the service. I walked in and all of the staff was centered near the cash register and was LOUD. The restaurant was empty but I thought they were having a party. Next the salad bar was dirty. If you have enough time to laugh and talk then make sure that the salad bar is clean. Salad dressing was spilled on the bar as well as a few veggies. It just looked nasty. The gentleman that was preparing my order kept talking to the employees. I felt like he was talking over me (since one was at the beverage counter) while I was trying to place my order. He kept saying, I'm sorry because I looked up like what's going on. Not only is that rude it's disrespectful. I already stated that this is my first time in your store and I need help with the protocol. I'm not upset but it was annoying. Again the wrap was really good but the service could have been better. Salata is a glorified McDonald's' and their employees have that type of work ethic. My wife and I were in line close to the beginning of the salad bar. The lady in front of us was on her cell phone while she was telling the employee what she wanted on her plate. She was at the front of the line, and she told my wife that she was getting too close, and she needed to back up along with some curse words. I said a few curse words back. The lady had almost the whole length of the restaurant to get some space between us and her. We were sandwiched between her and another couple. The couple behind us were the last people in line. I asked the lady in front where she wanted us to go. She said anywhere except next to her along with a few more curse words. We got into a verbal exchange with F bombs and the lady starts yelling threats. The employees just watched us and did nothing. They were supposed to be directing the line making sure people were spaced out properly. Since this situation was going to continue or get worse, we left. We won't be back. read more

Sure, the salads are generous in portion, but I do not recommend placing an online order with this place if you are trying to grab a quick bite. Just tonight, I placed an order online with the time stamp of 7:10 pm, promised to be "ready for pickup" by 7:30 pm. When I arrived at the restaurant, not only was my order not ready, but the servers served everyone else before even beginning my order. This place has great food options and big portions, but they are not enforcing sanitary guidelines in light of COVID. One of our servers was not wearing a face mask, and the other was not wearing gloves. The manager had to come out to get the first server to put on a mask. I also wanted to let you know that I'm highly disappointed that while I was at the Atlanta Midtown location 650 Ponce De Leon Ave.Atlanta, GA 30308  My phone was STOLENat the cash register. The cashier was the only lady that I encountered while I was paying for my food. since there weren't that many customers there. I sat my phone down after using Apple Pay for my food and gathering my other shopping bags in my hand before I reached out and grabbed my salad bag. I didn't realize my phone was missing until I went to my car. I had my airpods in my ear so my phone was ringing and I answered it from my airpods and when I drove off from  the Salata store my airpod disconnected from the phone. Which let me know that my phone was still in your guy's restaurant. So I went back to the store and my airpods connected back to my phone, I went back to the cash register. Someone different was there and I asked her if they saw my phone and the lady was looking as well as I. I also was calling my phone 50 times  while in you guys' establishment. She also let Jeff  know who's the supervisor at the time. Jeff and  another lady were helping me look for it.  I asked Jeff if he could run back cameras, he stated that couldn't because the cameras were being upgraded at the time. This is UNACCEPTABLE for many reasons .. Also the lady who checked me out at the register didn't even acknowledge me when I stated that I'm looking for my phone. I'm highly disappointed at this situation because I spend my hard earned  money here at least three times a week. I logged into Find my Iphone from my computer and it shows that my phone is at your location. I'm not trying to cause any trouble or to get anyone fired since it's around the holidays and I'm sure everyone needs their money. I had to spend unnecessary money that I don't have on a replacement IPHONE MAX. Money that I don't have, especially around christmas time. I'm very livid about this situation. I am a little disappointed in the management and staff. Every employee but one was wearing their masks incorrectly (not covering their nose or pulled down). The woman who appeared to be a manager was not wearing a mask at all. SLOWEST SERVICE EVER...I've been here 3 times and had to wait over 30min for a small to go salad EACH TIME..understaffed

The salads here are always good - I usually order one or twice week. The customer service is terrible. The customer service is spotty depending on who is working. Yesterday, I put in a mobile order. When I went to pick it up 15 minutes after the time the app said it would be ready my salad was not ready. There restaurant was empty and two of the employee were busy on their cell phone in the dinning area. And this is not the first time my mobile order is not on time. Usually I have to wait 10-15 and I purposely arrive 10-15 later than estimated time for it to be ready. Additionally when I got my salad the pita chips were soggy (must have gotten wet) and the bag of crouton I received were crumbs. When I asked to get an exchange the employee did suggested I get something else. . The employee did not check to see if there was fresh items. I like salad in this place but will go elsewhere because of the service. read more
