I hadn't been in a few weeks and I didn't recognize any of the regular staff so maybe that's the problem, maybe these are new workers. But there was nothing welcoming about the experience at all.Before I even got a chance to say that I want to avocado and artichoke on my salad the server had already walked over and placed my salad down so it could be rung up. $13 is a lot to pay for a salad but we do it because of the food and the environment. First time going was for lunch on Sunday, me and my wife were wanting something on the healthy side and we were in the shopping center running errands so we decided to give salata a try. Very clean and bright inside the restaraunt, set up like chipotle where you pick your size salad or wrap and then type of lettuce and then toppings. They have a very good assortment of fresh vegetables, dressings, and proteins you can add to your salad. The prices are a little high in my opinion, but not out of the average for restaraunt salads, me and my wife had 1 small salad with no meat, one regular salad with no meat, one tea and one water and it came out to $18. I kinda had regret and wished i would have chose more vegetable options after i was finished. My new favorite place! So glad I found a quick and easy way to grab a fresh salad anytime I want one. I go here weekly and sometimes more than once lol They have every topping you could imagine and you can put one or all on yours. They also have a variety of lettuce, spring mix, kale, soni spinach, etc... Avocado and meat is extra. They have a ton of meat choices, chicken, seafood, etc... They will mix the dressing in or leave it on the side. They do Togo or you can eat there. Top it off with nuts, croutons, bread, pita chips, they also have what it artichoke for a dollar extra. Four stars will be changed to five stars when they at least start rotating out one soup every day or week...something. It's always the same and you need at least one that is the soup of the day or week. Also the soups look NOT fresh but boxed or canned... You have an amazing ability to make fresh healthy soups. I was super excited to try a place that specialized in salad. The price seemed a little high, but I got a pretty decent size bed of lettuce so I wasn't upset. I got the salmon and I ordered my dressings on the side because you never can be sure. First, the dressing wasn't my favorite but that is just personal preference. But the salmon was pretty bad. It was SUPER fishy and it compromised the entire salad. It made me not want to continue to eat it. The rest of the ingredients seemed pretty fresh and there was a decent selection of them. I love Salata!! I usually make my own wrap, with chipotle chicken, lots of veggies and fruit. It's so filling that I can only eat half of my wrap. If you are to get chicken, always get the chipotle chicken! Beware, it is a bit spicy! My favorite wrap is the southwestern tortilla. I have had their tomato basil soup, it's pretty good, not the best I've ever had, but pretty good. My only con with Salata is that if you come during lunch be prepared to wait a while to go through the line. I wish there was a faster way to get through the line. I wouldn't advise against going to Salata just for that reason, but I try to avoid busy hours. read more

Went here for the first time and I must say I was impressed. The premise is simple, you order a salad or a wrap and they prepare however you want. They have a wide variety of veggies, meats, and cheeses, all of which appeared to be very fresh. With all of the different choices, it can be a little overwhelming, but it's nice to have so many different offerings. The staff was very nice and helpful with making our selections. How it works: You pick small or large bowl an get one turn through the line. It works like subway- you tell them what you want on your salad- they add it. The good: it's healthy and we need healthy food around this area. The mango dressing is good, my husband liked the chipotle chicken chunks (which cost $3 extra to add). The bad: when you see the bowls you think the salad will be huge but they only fill the bowl half way. Not pleased. When I asked for more spinach the girl literally put three more leafs. My husband and I both left hungry and felt ripped off on the $16 we spent. Also it's about 62° in there and I hate that in a restaurant- so uncomfortable. The staff loads up a big or small bowl for you from 4 types of greens, multiple veggies, cheeses, fruits, nuts and proteins (chicken, turkey, salmon, shrimp, crab) plus your choice of dressings and bread. We sampled chipotle chicken, pesto chicken and smoked turkey, all were tasty, the chipotle is definitely not spicy. Overall verdict was two thumbs up on the salads, bread would be 100% better if it was hot or at least warm, cold just doesn't work. You can get salad choices as a wrap too. So this was my first time every going to Salata, yes I know it's pretty hard to believe especially because they're popping up all around the metroplex! The place is kept very clean, I could tell because management kept walking around to make sure the food looked neat and presentable and the staff was cleaning up very quickly if they saw a mess. But let's get back to the food, you start off by picking your salad greens...I always go for the Salata mix, that's just a preference. Then you have a BUNCH of different toppings to choose from, they have everything from jicamia to snap peas and everything in between. And OMG the PROTIEN variety is to die for...I got the seafood mix...seriously absolutely delicious! BTW this is coming from a person that hates seafood on their salad so that just shows you how amazing it actually is. It's honestly pretty hard to pick the protein because everything tastes SOOOO fresh and delicious! As you can tell I'm totally in love!! They also have plenty of other things as well such as soups, croutons, deserts and a wide variety of amazing teas!! Super fresh and a great price! We tried Salata the day it opened and while the staff looked a little intimidated, everything was great. We got to build our own wraps and salads. It was very nice that they let us try what we were putting in them as we made our selections. (Be sure to try the Ginger Lime dressing and the soup!) I recently went to Salata for the first time and I absolutely loved it. The salad itself is a standard price $7 or $8, depending on the size, then protein add in's are $3-$4. I have been to many other salad places that charge you based on the weight of your salad. Salata does not do this which makes it very convenient. The salad is very fresh and taste amazing.
