We love the pizza at Giro's. It's not very big but they use the space wisely. The waitstaff is always great. Last time we sat at the bar and had a lovely chat with the bartender. I really like Giro Trattoria & Pizza. I love their pizza, especially the pizza that you. A choose a different topping for all the slices. The meatball appetizer is also very good. They have a nice wine selection and beer. No cocktails. My husband liked the Caesar salad with shrimp. I recently had the Chicken Al Limone. It is delicious and a large portion, so I was able to enjoy one of the pieces of chicken for lunch the next day. It has the perfect amount of pasta. Service is always good. After probably a dozen visits now, this restaurant still amazes me. Their pizza is perfect (provided you like very thin crust). What really sets it apart is the quality and generosity of the ingredients. We have had many and have yet to select one that we didn't love. We always also order a bottle of wine and have yet to be disappointed. The specials of the month are usually especially good. And on Wednesday wine (not the specials) is half price for the bottle, and if not finished they seal it up for you to take home. Two other go to items for us are the Arancini (the best we have found in any restaurant in the DFW area) and the Cesare salad, which somehow stands out for its freshness, flavor and cheese. Recently we have branched out for several of the past dishes as well. What I find amazing is that this "pizza kitchen" with an over and hotplates can turn out gourmet pasta meals prepared to perfection. I had a special on the last trip which was the Pappardelle al Ragu di Cinghiale. It is a ribbon pasta in a truffle and wild boar ragu with pesto. I don't care what these Michelin Star people have been doing in Texas this year, but I would wager they have not tasted a better pasta dish at any other restaurant. Wow it was great. For a starter this last visit we also had the Rotolo di Caprese. It is a rolled prosciutto, mozzarella and arugula on a bed of heirloom tomato. Creative and delicious. Service is always great and they seem to keep servers for a long time because we have had some frequently, and the chef, who you watch through to glass window, came to our table a couple of times to check in. The owner also dropped by. My wife and I absolutely love this restaurant - more every time. read more

So the pizza is all you can eat if you so choose it is $18.99 per person and the flavors and toppings are endless ..the pizza has a thin crisp crust and flavorful authentic toppings the taste is very reminiscent of Europe.. My husband Ordered the Pere as something new to try the and the pears were thin sliced and tasted wonderful mixed with the walnuts, Gorgonzola and a honey drizzle - quite a treat and a wonderful twist .. he also tried the Vulcano a variety of meats and very good. I order the pollo salad and what can I say except it was hearty flavorful and absolutely delicious! The dessert pizza is included and the strawberry cheesecake was delightful! Strawberries and Nutella?!! Who can go wrong with this combination!!! The restaurant is warm, inviting, and spotless. Our server Hayley was so friendly, attentive, and informative. She was able to answer all our questions, and her service was on point! This is supposed to be to a family friendly restaurant so we asked if we can have a table where the kids watched the pizza being made and the staff said yes! However another customer here do not welcome all. Another customer stopped me on my way out to tell me my kids are offensive. Even though there were kids at other tables it must of been because of my skin color. I tried to call the manager but no one cared then the owner texted me after leaving this comment to take the comment down. She condones the costumer calling my two year old son and my family "offensive". As a parent have never experienced so much grief from dinning out with my children. Hadn't been here since covid and I was satisfied to see that flavors were still on point We started with zucchini frittes (fried zucchini spears) - I have to say this is the first time I've had them at Giro and they were the best I've ever had! Perfect crispy outer shell, golden and very hot (temp) with a delicious red marinara sauce to dip in Next , my wife and I shared a wedge (salads can easily be spilt by two) , my wife had the eggplant caprese as an entree and of course - I had the pizza! Multiple topping choices and flavors, i ended up choosing carbonara, Calabrese, and quattro salumi - all my pizza flavors were excellent Glad to see food at Giro hasn't missed a beat as covid changed many restaurants and a quick shout out to Hayley our server who was excellent read more

Great service and really good food. I thought the flavor on the volcano pizza was absolutely delicious, light crust and great ingredients. Voldostana was good never had with a red sauce but was nice, still prefer a mushroom cream sauce. My wife love the deli turkey sandwich panini style and she had gelato and macchiato she said it was all very good. Definitely will be back. The wait staff did a great job and super helpful since this was our first visit. The whole experience was very good. Highly recommend for a date night at an Italian cafe or bistro type feel. Our go to restaurant with the kids. I love the food, the kids love the pizza and the pizza dough they give them to play with. It's family friendly while still being a nice place to eat and get dinner. The staff has always been friendly and had great customer service. We have tried several pizzas, a few chicken dishes, and some pastas. Everything has been good. I am picky about pasta being really good and have really liked everything we tried here. Pasta tastes fresh and cooked well. We always get gelato as well and occasionally tiramisu. This place is definitely one of our favorite hidden gems. The service is good. Every now and then its a little more true Italian style service where the server disappears for awhile but they are always friendly. the restaurant is small enough it is easy to flag down someone else if you really need something.
