The problem with this McAlister's is that our order is never correct. Every time we get food to go, at least one of the sandwiches is wrong. The latest example happened today when one sandwich was supposed to have turkey, cheese, and bacon. Not a difficult order. When I got home, we found a sandwich with just turkey and bread. I went back and spoke with a manager. I told her this happens far more with them than any other restaurant. She said "really?" and that was it. All I got was a half-hearted apology. Her employees don't read the orders. They glance at them and take a guess. The food is good, which is why we go back, but it's not good enough to warrant having to make two trips. Work on your customer service, McAlister's. Double check orders to make sure they're correct. That's what every other restaurant we order from does. read more

Is this location always out of spuds? If you routinely run out of items on your menu, that is terrible management. You should never run out of anything. Always be abundantly stocked and OVER prepared. This is just evidence that McAlister's has no real concern for their customers. Speaking of customer service, you need to send the Zoomers in your employ to a week long course on proper customer service. They are quite rude. I know that's the common characteristic of that generation but they can be trained. I tell everyone, simply adopt the Chick-fil-A customer service model and you can't go wrong. I gave two stars because you still have good food, you just seriously need to eliminate mismanagement and poor customer service. read more

10/24/21 at 12:00, there's a line. I was waiting in line when a rude couple got in line behind me that insisted on crowding me and standing less than a foot behind me while talking with spit coming out of the guy's mouth when he talked. Absolutely so annoying!!! To make this already worse and uncomfortable situation, an employee (Mary) who had just placed a bag of food in the customer pickup area initiated a personal conversation with this customer. This personal conversation transitioned from the holding area for pickups to a point where Mary moved behind the counter and the customer moved in line to continue this personal conversation. The employee, with name badge Mary (short lady with a bun, glasses, and older than other employees) who initiated this personal conversation with this customer kept moving behind the counter as the customer moved in line. This customer had absolutely no situational awareness because he was literally crowding me and obviously either not aware he was inches from touching me or he was just plain rude. By the way, this conversation started when there were three people in front of me and there were two registers opened taking orders from two separate customers to just provide someone with a timeline of how long this personal conversation was taking place all along while at an obvious busy time for this establishment. While the line was moving, I witnessed and observed Mary move BEHIND the counter as she was sipping her soda from a straw while she kept carrying on this personal conversation with this customer. The guy she was chatting with ended up literally standing behind the credit card machine of which I was trying to pay when I had to finally ask him if he could please give me some room so I could finish my transaction. The guy replied, "oh, we were just talking.....then he said you're being weird". I looked at Mary across the counter as she was just sipping her drink WHILE STILL BEHIND THE COUNTER!!! Really, this is so unprofessional ....not to mention how rude the guy was who was behind me not worried about anyone else around him and so engaged with his own personal conversation with this employee (Mary) that he was so ignorant to realize he was standing directly behind the credit card machine where I was trying to pay. He obviously has no situational awareness!!! I walked away and was sitting down. He placed his order at the same register as I did. Then he and the woman with him sat down at a table. I noticed that his food came out right away even though he ordered after me. I also noticed that the two people in front of me were also waiting for their food. Then I noticed Mary appear at this couple's table and began another conversation with this same guy. I had it at this point and asked an employee who the manager was here today. I was told Mary is a manager and Jordon is here who is the GM. I requested to speak with Jordon. I requested a refund and advised Jordon of this situation, and informed him that it's very unprofessional for Mary to be having personal conversations with customers when there is a huge crowd waiting for their own food, huge line of customers waiting to place an order, tables that need clearing, and the fact that this couple was given special treatment by Mary because their food came out right away while I ordered before him and was still waiting along with two other customers in front of me. Here's a pic of the employee and rude guy who apparently thinks he is the only one in the world and totally lacks situational awareness! Mary, you should perhaps request a job as a greeter at another establishment because you have no business being s manager at this establishment!!! Lastly, this is not the first negative encounter with Mary. I was here a couple of nights ago and ordered the salad with harvest chicken salad. After eating, I realized I was overcharged. I went to the register snd Mary was at the front counter. I showed her my receipt. She looked at my receipt, and I pointed to the menu board that showed the actual price. She took my receipt and said she would be back. She returned with $1.25 cash. She told me she took the money from the tip drawer instead of crediting my credit card. She did not account for the tax, but I just let it go. She then asked me who took my order and I witnessed her tell the employee how to ring up the order in the future. I hadn't been to this location in a while but it's still up to expectations. I had a rough day and no lunch break and around Flower Mound I realized I couldn't make it all the way to Denton and needed to stop. I started looking around and saw McAlisters. I haven't been feeling well and something light and healthy was definitely in the cards. This location is very large with tons of tables of various sizes, I like the layout. It's bright and has a lot of windows and a mostly open feel to it. The menu is great but since I wasn't feeling well I admit to having a bit of menu anxiety today. It may be my height but I couldn't see the menu in it's entirety and had to keep stepping side to side. I went with the choose 2 and $7.29 is a great deal for your choice of soup, salad, spud or sandwich. In fact, all of the items I noticed on the menu were reasonable or competitive. I wanted a juice and they don't carry any so that was a bit of a bummer but they had a good tea that wasn't overly sweet. I knew from the get go I needed a hot soup for my sore throat so I got the broccoli cheddar. It looks like they have different soups each day so be aware if you have a favorite. The salads sounded really good but I felt I was needing a light sandwich for some calories and I couldn't decide. I consulted with the girl at the counter a bit and found out they have a tuna salad croissant that they serve but isn't on the menu anymore. I'm kind of a sucker for off menu items, and I like tuna, so I got that. I took my card and drink to a table near the door and sat down to check my email. Before I finished reading my first email she had placed the food down in front of me- wow! Super fast service is always a plus. The soup was hot and comforting and had good flavor. The croissant was extremely toasted, and it was awesome! I have never had a croissant toasted that dark and was afraid it was going to fall apart but it held up better that way. The tuna salad was a little sweet for my taste, I think it may have been a relish mixed in. It didn't taste bad, I'm just picky and would try one of their many other sandwiches or a salad next time. Considering the kind of place this is, where you order and pay at the counter and get the food relatively fast, I would say the employees were friendlier than expected. The location is lovely but I guess that is to be expected in Highland Village. Lots of room and easy layout with good food and fresh ingredients- what's not to love? Great options for a light lunch and plenty to choose from if you are trying to eat healthier- I mean, I'm not, but you might be into that sort of thing. :) Solid 4 star experience, I got to come here more often and recommend you give them a shot. read more

McAlister's is always a good and quick lunch. It's very easy to call in and place your order, or you can even order online. The staff is always super friendly and will answer any questions with a smile. Their sandwiches are always large and a generous portion size. I ordered the veggie club and it was very large. All the vegetables were crisp and fresh. The guacamole on the bread was really good. I had the steamed veggies on the side. They are pretty basic. It's carrots and broccoli but they are steamed well and tasty. This specific store is always clean and quick. If you need something healthy and quick you should definitely give it a try. read more

An employee opened the door for my wife and I as we were coming in, and we were immediately, warmly greeted by a young blonde-haired cashier at the counter with sort of marbled glass frames. She was extremely friendly and personable, and even gave us a military discount. The restaurant was clean and had a very cool old-school diner feel, nicer to me in comparison to a lot of other McAlisters we've been to. After we sat down and talked for a bit, our order was brought out. Everything was warm and fresh, and exactly how we ordered it. My southwestern turkey melt was mouth-wateringly good, and my wife just chimed in that her sandwich was "perfect, one of the best."
