We later learned that Lexus had left for the day and we were left on our own, so to speak. No drink refills for the nearly three hours we were there. Finally, we had to get up and find someone to help us and get our checks. When I was able to pay I requested a receipt, which I never received. Lastly, when we were leaving, someone was mopping the walkway and left puddles of water in the walk, which posed a slip hazard for our group of elderly individuals. When we told a server about the water in the walkway, she told us that she knew it was wet, because she just mopped it. Not an answer you want to hear. All in all, a very unimpressive experience.

The food was absolutely delicious -- so many people complimented the wraps and the rice in particular, and several guests asked where the food came from. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and homemade, not like typical fast catering or fast food. At the last minute I realized I didn't have cutlery, and without hesitation he took care of it for me and included it in the cost, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. I actually first tried their food when I gave birth at Memorial Hermann across the street in February, and I'm so glad I remembered them and came back to use them for catering. Their quality and taste fared similarly to what I'd expect on the mainland near Webster. Galveston keeps reminding me that the best food comes out of lackluster-appearing trucks. Nothing hits quite like a food truck run late at night. I've seen it time and time again with street tacos, and I'm glad to see that halal cart food is following those footsteps.
